anyone know what is on the menu at LTT? i just got my tickets and it mentionad a "not so scary buffet" there before MNSSH.... :confused3

ate there before the mnsshp event in 2004 and 2005. it was the same menu then as usual for the dinner fare.

the characters will have on masks for the halloween effect and some in costume. i remember pluto wore a cape and mask then.

i am guessing it will be the same. i have not seen any announcements to think elsewise.

There will be 5 of us on going on Sept 30! We went last year and had an awesome time--can't wait to go this year.

Thanks for all the great advice. We suppose to leave on Sept 14th and thinking we may need to stay. I hate having to buy more tickets to stay for the few extra hours. We will be going with DS's 6 and 5 and DD who is 3. Any advice from others with young Dk's on whether it is worth it.

We will be there for the party on the 14th !! This will be our second MNSSHP and we can't wait !

My triplet's had just turned 6 when we went to MNSSHP last year. We met friends who brought their DD5 and DD3. all the kids LOVED the party. The trick or treating, great character interaction, rides, parade, dance party were fabulous. If your kids scare easily then avoid the Villains Show at the Castle and there is a real headless horseman at the beginning of the parade. Also, the ghosts from the Haunted Mansion are in the parade and drag/stomp with shovels that make sparks. That did bother a few of the kids in our group, but they just stood to the back to watch. Have fun!

Well, the party starts at 7 and I believe the first parade was at 9pm, fireworkds at 10 and next parade at 11. I'll double check my program tonight when I get home. If your kids are going to want to go to sleep around 8 or 9 then you're paying alot of money for only an hour or two of party. I have no doubt that your kids will love all the events there, it's tons of fun! You just have to try and judge how late they'll be able to stay up, keeeping in mind it'll be the last night of your vacation, and decide if the cost will be worth it. By the last night of the vacation the kids might be more tired or cranky then you're expecting.. I suppose you could always decide in the middle of the week and buy the tickets then. Last year the first party didn't sell out and people were buying tickets at our hotel the day of the party.

I just checked my program from last year. The parades were at 8:15 and 10:30, fireworks at 9:30. I think it's worth going if your kids can stay awake for most of the party. If you'll need to leave before fireworks then I wouldn't spend the extra money. When we've been rides have been walk on or very nearly walk on, so it's great for doing those. Trick or treat lines stay rather long for most of the night but move quickly. CMs seem to give more in the last hour or so. We try to wait until then for our trick or treating. Character lines can get long too, but there are some characters out for the party that you can't see elsewhere. We've done two parties each trip in the past, but it's getting more and more expensive so this year we're only doing one. Still, I wouldn't miss it. We specifically planned our trip for this time of year to do MNSSHP. DD loved the party last year, she had just turned 4 at the time. Trick or treating, characters, and the parade were her favorites.

Add me to the list! We'll be there on Thursday, October 25 for our first time! :cool1:

DD and I will be there 11/2/07. First time.. We have done 4 MVMCP. we are sooo excited!!!!

For those who have been befor...

How hot do you think it will be during the Party.....

I have heard its pretty hot in Sept....
I have costumes for my DGSs,(6 & 9) from disney.com...and they seem a little warm looking....So Im worried about the temps in the evening..will it still be hot?.....About what temp?

last year it was high 80's to low 90's. We didn't go to the MNSSHP last year this year will be are first.

It will be hot. I think DD will be a cheerleader, since that has a short skirt and can be sleeveless. Lows at that time of year are generally in the 70's with highs in the 90's. Even in the evening it will still be in the 80's -- too hot for bulky costumes, long pants or long sleeves in my book.

It was HOT last year (Sept 29 party) and it was sold out. We used Disney costumes, but altered them. DS wore the Peter Pan short sleeve top with khaki shorts. My other DS wore Captain Hook top (I cut the sleeves off to short-sleeve length and made them "ragged" like Tick Tock had gotten hold of him!) with black shorts. DD wore the Tink costume. DH was John Darling and I was Wendy. This year I am definitely trying to come up with ideas that are lightweight and comfortable. It also made it easier for getting on/off rides.

So is the MNSSHP ticket all you need to get into the park? You don't have to have MK tickets as well? We were planning on going to MGM on October 14th and that is the only day of our trip we could go to the party as well.

That's right! :) You *just* need the MNSSHP tickets. Just keep in mind they may not let you in to the party until 7. However, in past years, they let us in around 4.

Have fun!

a lot of new posts in past few days....I think I'm all caught up....

Now if only I can get my return flight!!! Ugh...

Trish

Just ordered DH and my tickets for Monday, October 8th. :woohoo:

We've been twice before, but can someone refresh my memory on when we can arrive? We actually have APs so this might be a non issue. I think last year they moved everyone to Tomorrowland or was that the year before???

Does it officially start at 7:00? We'll probably arrive when it starts so we can get in line for a pin.

We didn't book ADRs for that day and planned on using a DDP counter service credit for dinner. It looks like Columbia Harbour House will not be open. Cosmic Ray's a good place to go that night? Or will it be a nightmare? I'm wondering if we can go in a tad early, eat there and then be done for the party at 7:00? I wonder what time it will close before the party starts?

Thanks for any suggestions!
