Disney's Cinderella "Live action version"

My aunt was very lucky to see Disney's live-action Cinderella on TV and she enjoyed it but how this movie became a hit is a mystery? For one thing this version of Cinderella wasn't a musical and how Lily James got cast as Cinderella is also shocking? Because I think Disney saw how easy it was to turn Cinderella into a live-action movie and they thought that a live-action version of Cinderella would work well. My aunt also liked Richard Madden as Prince Charming and there is a reason why they cast him as Prince Charming and the answer is fairly simple. Because they wanted an actor who was crush-worthy and when you have an actor that is crush-worthy it attracts girls who adore cute actors and Richard Madden became a huge star after Cinderella by starring in drama shows and playing Ikaris in Marvel's Eternals. But I think with this version of Cinderella Disney was testing the waters to see if live-action princess movies could work and this movie was stellar at first

Oh this was one of my FAVORITE retellings! I really love it, and even my dad was like "they took the cartoon and made it better!" which you can't always say for many remakes......

My mom saw it on Freeform and she thought this version of Cinderella was impressive but then my aunt bought it on Black Friday and loved it a lot. I don't know how they cast Lily James to play Cinderella but this movie sure made her a popular movie star

I saw this movie in a theater (gasp!) and really enjoyed it. I also like the original animated version. They're two different movies, both good in different ways.

Love the retelling, I think it was quite a beautiful movie with not too much CGI like you see nowadays. ALSO Cate Blanchett as the evil step-mother was actually terrifying but very cool.
