"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

I think this was asked before but IDK if it was answered......when can we expect to see a party schedule/map? Will it be before the first party??

Wondering about attending 2 parties. I recently attended my first MNSSHP and I ended up going twice... glad I did because the first one was rained out about halfway through and I was able to experience much more (although not absolutely everything) by attending a second party.

Is MVMCP less likely to be rained out? Is there any reason NOT to attend two parties? I guess what I'm asking... are the crowds and wait times similar to MNSSSHP? (ie - super long lines for characters, find spots early for entertainment, etc) ??

Just curious about the difference between the two in terms of how much time could be needed...

I've had a few glasses of wine, so sorry if this reads weird... lol ;)

I've been wondering about this too. I know the cost is a factor, but after reading several reviews, there's no way to do everything in one night. I don't want to regret missing something since this will be our first and possibly only time going to dw during the holidays. I don't know what to do...

I am planning on attending this year & it will be my first time. However, I am not sure what to expect and what about attending the party makes it worth going (I am a holiday fanatic btw). Love to hear your thoughts :)

Per the email we received the cancellation policy is five days. Before canceling you may want to try calling, if you haven't already done so, to see if you can add your daughter to your reservation if she's interested in attending. Here's the policy:

- There is a 5 Day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged/forfeited if canceling within 5 Days or no show of the reservation.

Tickets purchased I'm going mid December I've never seen the HUGE tree up so it's a treat for me too :)

Thank you. I will definitely call to see if I can make that happen!

We like to visit in the off season (Jan-feb typically) but this year bought AP. Airfare is pretty low so we were considering switching our long Jan trip into 2 and going in Dec to attend mvmcp and stay for 3 days then head back for 4 days or so in Feb as opposed to a week all at once in Jan. Is the party and Christmas decor worth the extra travel time?

They should have a new character yearly - I THINK I got all the photos with Christmas characters - but I never got talking Mickey in his Christmas Attire.

At what time does he start the Christmas attire on a party day? (have a FP with him at 4:30, wondering if he may be on the attire then). Also, how's the wait for him on the way out after the fireworks?

I am told that the paper barcode does not gain you entry. You have 2 choices:
1) Link the barcode in MDE to yourself and use an old magic band or new one that you link to MDE. OR
2) Go to guest relations to exchange the paper receipt for an RFID chip plastic ticket that can be used at the tapstiles for entry and for all FP locations.

Just wondering, why would they offer that as an option when purchasing if it doesn't work? I selected the print at home option.. that won't work?

I think the print at home option is similar to Will Call. You have a receipt that says you paid for a ticket. You still have to show up and collect your ticket. Sort of like going to the theater or a concert.

There are tapstiles, not barcode readers at the entrance. Your piece of paper does not have a chip that the tapstile can scan.
You can do a sort of virtual will call with MDE. If you have a magic band you are all set because it does have a chip and can be linked. Most people fall into this category. Others will have to exchange their paper receipt for ticket media in order to gain entrance.

That's my understanding from the MDE explanations about MBs and FP over on the FP board. I have not been to a party yet. We have had to collect tickets at the parks because DH does not use an MB.

Sorry - I haven't heard of talking Mickey- could someone explain please? Thanks!

He won't be in Christmas attire until 7pm when the party starts. I think the wait will be lower later in the night.

At the Mickey M&G in MK, Mickey talks. He has an articulated head, so the mouth and eyes move, too. http://thedisneyblog.com/2015/08/06/meeting-talking-mickey-mouse-at-the-magic-kingdom/

Kenny the Pirate is usually good at putting up a character map, also featuring treat spots and dance party spots, around the first week the holiday parties begin. We probably won't see anything before the first party though.

Thanks. We are going that first week and I really hope something is released before we arrive. I hate not having some sort of schedule planned!
