"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

I'm on the fence about buying tickets for either the Thursday, Nov 10 party or the Sunday, Nov 13 party. Initially, my thinking that Thursday will be less crowded than a Sunday night. However, there's Veterans Day on Fri, Nov 11, so maybe the Thursday night would be crowded since the next day is a holiday and start of a 3 day weekend? If you had a choice, which day would you go? :santa:

Touring plans recommend week nights over weekend nights, so I'd go for Thursday.

I would do Sunday. Parties on Veteran's Day weekend tend to be heavily attended. The critical factor is whether people will have work and school the next day. Lots of folks will have Friday off for Veteran's Day, but most will have work or school on Monday, making Sunday a bad choice for them.

How do they control who is in the park on party days. So of you buy a ticket to the evening Christmas party, you can enter as early as 4:00. Yet day timers have tickets good until 7:00. So come 7:00, how do they know who has a ticket for the evening? Not trying to crash, just curious.

All party goers are given a wristband, without a wristband guests can't go on rides, enter lines to see characters, dine or shop. Day guests that had ADR's not ending until the party has started are escorted to the gates at the end of their meal.

This. Sunday night isn't what people mean when they say to avoid weekend nights because the reason to avoid weekend nights is because locals don't have to worry about getting up early the next day for work or school; that's not going to be the case on a Sunday night, unless that Monday is a federal holiday.

Well, actually, guests without wristbands can't stay in the park at all.

Will the Fastpass+ show up on the mde when my window opens? I bought our party tickets months ago for Dec 6th. I see them in the mde screen and I have the plastic versions stowed away. I don't think we will be fastpassing much since our son will only be 17 months but I'm just curious.

Yep.

We are going Dec 18th for the first time. Can't wait to find out what the party festivities are like. When do they come out with a schedule? Like where meet and greets are located. And any other special party events?
