I manage to retire at 56yo (not my plan but that's what happened). Haven't worked a day since.

There are younger brothers of mine (2) and a younger sister (1) and I constantly tell them that retirement is great because EVERY DAY IS SATURDAY.

As in ....

Wake up, have something to eat, decide what you want to do TODAY.

Volunteer.

Do yard work.

Fix something that needs fixed at home.

Help your favorite non-profit charity in some way.

Exercise.

Pitch in at your local church.

Look in on your aging parents and care for them.

Take care of a grandchild and remind them that God LOVES them.

Tell your spouse "I love you".

Go to sleep, wake up, and do it ALL OVER again.

Days that end in the letter "Y" aren't so bad after all.

Just another perspective.
