**Official March 2017 Thread**

Well my Disney vacation is over  We got back last night, well, technically this morning at 3am. What should have been a 15-16 hour car ride ended up being 19 hours. Have I ever mentioned that I hate driving through Georgia?? It took us 3 hours to drive 100 miles. Overall it was a pretty good trip! My niece got sick ended up having to go to the ER but after getting an IV and some antibiotics, she was feeling great and back to her normal self! I enjoyed the time spent with my family, it's been years since we've taken a vacation. I already miss Disney but it's good to be home!
Welcome home
Sorry to hear about your niece but glad she's feeling better.:goodvibes

Well guys hubby just picked me up and I'm headed home :sad1:
DD and I had the best trip to date. So many new things this trip. I think it helps that we go twice a year especially with crowds. We utilized fp and then just had a go with the flow attitude. Even though we had made ADR's in advance we had no issues changing them last minute. Our new favorite hands down is Citricos. We dined twice and it was amazing both times. Also had a great meal at O'hanas much better than in November.
Hope you all enjoyed the pics :goodvibes
I've had so much fun counting down with everyone.
To all those leaving soon have a magical time pixiedust:.

Ok, I want opinions! My trip was fantastic, and the only blip was a very small blip indeed. I booked an 8:15 reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table for last Friday night, and the cast member who we interacted with at the check-in desk was very brusque and rude to my friend and I. It was a disappointing start to this splurge of a dinner, especially since my friend isn't a huge Disney fan anyways but thought it'd be cool to eat in the castle and I really wanted her to have a magical experience. I totally understand being frustrated and tired of dealing with tourists all day, but on the other hand her rudeness really didn't set a good tone for dinner. My question is, do I write to guest services about our experience or just chalk it up to one minor bad experience and let it go? I'd hate for some family to be treated rudely there too, but it wasn't horrendous, just not the customer service we experienced elsewhere throughout the parks (or even just normal customer service everywhere). Thoughts?

@jmccoy18, thanks again for starting this thread. How was your trip?

@wdwnut61, I'm glad you had such a great trip. Going twice a year for those who can seems like a good idea, as it cuts down on the waiting in between trips.

Since it's bothering you, I think it's a good idea if you write to them, but balance it by also saying something positive, whether it's to compliment some other cast member who was extra helpful, or just mention some other aspect of your trip that you liked. Feedback goes over better if it's not all negative.

I can't believe that we'll be at Disney on Friday. After seeming like our trip will never come, it finally is almost here. I have been really busy at work, so it has been really hard to start to plan and pack. But we did go to Kohls today so I could buy a couple of new tops with my Kohls bucks. :)

I keep trying to get there, but something always happens that another resort wins.....usually a better price / discount.
We will always take the resort with the better discount. We'll probably stay at the YC once the rooms are finished being remodeled. It is a nice resort. :)

My must haves are:
Complete Sunshine on 03/26 (our dolphin swim day),
I have a feeling that we'll have great weather for that week. ::yes::

OK, I lied! I want to see more pictures :) Where is WDWNUT61 today ?? !!!!

Just finished my husbands suitcase. Its all zipped and ready to go. Now to do mine and my daughters :(
We had planned to start packing today but it just never happened. I'll probably come home from work tomorrow and find DH all packed. He usually packs before I do. I think he is more anxious for this trip than I am. :)

I go a new Dooney and Bourke
That is really cute. ::yes::

We're in MK now enjoying our last day.
I love the blue sky. I hope we get plenty of sun and zero rain. :)

Minnie in Paradise
That is really cute. I would take that to Disney. :)

Our new favorite hands down is Citricos.
What did you have that you really liked?

I would fire off an email to guest services. Rudeness is never okay.

We were there too!
How is your son feeling? It must be hard to be at Disney with an arm in a sling.

Ive made no more progress with packing :( DD had a state tournament (basketball) this weekend. 5 games. Last nights were 5 and 8pm, but an hour away from home and we had to be there 1/2 hour early. The last game was running late and we didnt get home until 11...exhausted. Then, right back there today for 3 more games. They lost :( but honestly, Im glad its over. She has been playing on 3 teams since last October, 7 days a week. Her travel team won their division, then their regional, but now lost the final game...the state championship. Oh well....next year!

So, back to work tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon she has an orthodontist appt. Hopefully I can get a little done at night, and thankfully I took Thursday off. We leave for the airport at 4am Friday morning :)

Im glad you made it home safely! Thanks for the great updates and wonderful photos.

Did living there make it less special?
For us it did. It wasn't the getaway escape that it is now. Plus, when you can go anytime, it's not as special. Some disagree- but that was our experience. Plus the hurricanes were terrible ( we lived there in 2004). I'll take the snow over that any day.

You motivated me to get going earlier. I leave 2 days before you and hadn't started yet. I got 2/3 of us packed today :cool1:

Thanks for sharing your experience; I feel better now.

BTW I was at WL in 2004 during Hurricane Jeanne (3rd hurricane at WDW that year, for those who don't know). That would have been a rough year to be living there.

We leave for the airport at 4 am on Friday, too. We are flying out of Midway. :)

Your Weekend sounds exhausting. I'm sorry that your daughter's team lost. At least she has an upcoming trip to help her fell better. :)

If I could take my job, and the other job prospects around me with me, I would move out of this Elsa-cursed frozen land they call New England. Yeah, hurricanes would be scary, but we sometimes get them up here too. That last 14" blizzard followed by 2 day power outages last week when we were dreaming about an early spring was nearly the last straw.
