Best Disney Story: I never been to Disney World until I took my own children and the first day we were at DW and were at rope drop and walked down the main street where all of the shop keepers were outside and clapping at everyone arriving I had tears in my eyes! I was 39 years old but I felt like I was 5 and it was a dream come true.
What do you look forward to most on your next trip? Its been 4 years since we have been to Disney world so just squeezing in as much magic as I can!

Where is McKinney? I'm originally from south of Houston! Do you drive from there or fly?

There was last year! :cool1:

My dh loves the voodoo guy from Princess and the Frog and thinks Gaston has the best song (although he thinks Ursula's is pretty cool, too). He loves villains. Plus you don't get to see so many at a go usually.

My DD20 is a villain fan-girl! But they are soo rare! Back in the day of the Stars and Motorcars parade at DHS (MGM then, I think), we once ran into Cruella deVille as she was heading for the building where the cars were. It was totally cool! I really miss that parade :-(

12th Grade English. One honors (21) and one non-honors (34). The other class is 9th Grade English The worst part is that every time one leaves, it seems to be out of the smaller class. I have 2 at Alternative School who won't come back this school year in each Honors 12 and 9th. One in Honors just withdrew -- she moved her a year ago after her parents died, and they've worked things out somehow so she can graduate with the friends she grew up with. I've got on in the non-Honors who is claiming yesterday was his last day, but I'll believe it when he withdraws. So, yeah...a class that technically has 16, a class that technically has 19, and 34.

Thank you for sympathy about my grandmother. She had been confined to her bed for the last year, was an Alzheimer's patient, and was just in general pain and confusion. Tough still, but she is better now. I seem to have inherited her 5 year old Pekichi (Pekinese-Chihuahua), which isn't bad...other than he's about as bad to have to share a bed with as my child is...

Alright, I think it's time to update! :hyper:

Wow, 34 is a big class for teaching literature. You must have good class-presence to make progress there! The little pup sounds very cute!

:wave2: Yes, we are all doing a split stay. We are each going to stay in the LM rooms. Funny when the Disney travel agent asked if we wanted to request connecting rooms I was like "NO!" I love my in-laws, but don't need 24/7 access to them. LOL.

The hubby is pretty excited to hopefully hit star wars weekend on the last weekend. We are waiting for the dates to be officially announced, but we tried to plan it on past dates. So, needless to say, our first park will be Hollywood Studios.

So excited. Today I booked my DGS's first haircut appointment at Harmony Barbershop and my other DGS's first visit to the Pirates' League for our upcoming trip. Smiling just thinking about it!

That sounds like fun, tinkerbell615! I have thought about getting my DS's hair cut at Harmony, but I am reluctant to spend the time! The Pirates League, however, would go well with our Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise. Do you know if they offer "lighter" options (not a whole bunch of face paint)? And can bigger kids do it, too (DD16, DS's buddy, and DH, lol!)?

We have never done the Pirate's League before, so I can't speak from experience, but from the pictures I have seen I think you can probably go lighter on the makeup. As a matter of fact, I booked the least expensive package for that reason. My DGS doesn't like a ton of stuff on his face, but he will love the experience. Yes, bigger kids can go. In fact, I have booked the appt. for my DGS and my DS who is his stepdad! They will have a blast!

The barbershop is great fun! MY DD booked a visit for her dad and her brother the last time we were there for father's day. When we got there DGS decided he wanted a cut too, so they added him and he got a cut and a gel Mickey head on the back of his head! This will be my other DGS's "first" cut. His mom and dad are waiting for him to have a haircut until we get there! I am super excited about all of it!

I don't know about lighter, but when I mentioned I might want dh and I to do it, the CM on the phone told me that I could call to add us to the kids' appointment anytime. pirate:

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to join. I've been browsing DISboards for a while and had no idea these threads were here. My husband is going crazy with my talking about our trip all the time so maybe this will be a good outlet for me.

Name: Ashley
Travel Dates (if known): June 14-21
Where will you be staying?: All-Star Sports
Travel Party: Myself, DH, and DS (turning 5 on 6/19 while we are there)
Current Location: Concord, NC
Favorite Disney Character: Mickey Mouse (you should see how many Mickey's there are in my classroom at school)
Favorite Disney Movie: Toy Story 3
How many trips?: 15 for me, 3 for DH, and first for DS
On-site or Off? On
Favorite Disney Story: Anytime I get to watch Wishes is truly magical for me. I cry EVERY time. Most recently I was able to watch them with a great friend while chaperoning my school's senior trip and he has now left to teach in the Republic of Georgia so having that memory with him is truly special.
What do you look forward to most on your next trip? Everything! I've been planning to take my son for his 5th birthday since before he was born. It's always been my dream so the fact that it is FINALLY happening and coming true is amazing. If I had to narrow it down to one thing though it would be my DH and DS doing Pirate's League together. So EXCITED!

Travel Dates (if known): Friday June 6th to Thursday June 12th
Where Will You Be Staying?: AoA
Travel Party: Just the family C;
Favorite Disney Character: Ooh, that's a tough one... Mulan, definitely, and Tramp are probably somewhere near the top. Elsa, too, along with Scar and Simba. I have a thing for villans. ;D
Favorite Disney Movie: Frozen, Mulan, The Emperor's New Groove, and The Lion King.
How Many Trips?: This will be my 14th trip to Disney in my lifetime.
On-Site or Off?: On-site!
Best Disney Story: Best Disney story.... hm.... well, in June of 2013 the family took a trip down. On the first day we were at the Magic Kingdom when it started to pour. Instead of taking shelter in the stores, we all hopped on the now very-short line of Big Thunder Mountain and got ourselves soaked! It was quite the experience. I've also been for MNSSHP twice, and going to AK is always fun.
What do you look forward to most on your next trip? The fact that I haven't been there in a year is one... and the fact that we're staying the Lion King suite! I'm a huge Lion King fan, and in May when everything is beyond set in stone and our flights our booked and whatnot, I'll be calling dibs on the pull-out bed with Simba sleeping above it. C; Other than that, I just really, really want to go to Disney!
