*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

We are doing the Wishes Dessert Party (not sure it existed when we were there last in 2011). I'm also hoping to convince the kids to go to AK on this trip. They've never been and I've only been once when it first opened.

So is anyone else doing something new for their June trip? New experiences, restaurants, tours, braving a new ride? I booked us for a fireworks cruise on June 2nd!! So excite for this! It is called Pirates and Pals and has a Peter Pan theme. The blurb says you will meet Hook and Smee ( who we have NEVER encountered) and then do the cruise during Wishes and then meet a special character, who DD hopes will be Peter Pan ( she would prefer the Peter Pan from Once Upon a Time but loves the Disney version, too)!!:-D

Can I get hook from once too. Lol. I'm just a little smitten!

New to us......

Be our guest and all of new fantasy land. Old fantasy land closed during our last trip. Dd was 4 and didn't understand why she couldn't ride barnstormer when she did just a few days earlier!

Liberty tree tavern
50's prime time
Sic fi
Family magic tour
Hoop dee do
And maybe boma!

We're doing the fireworks dessert party for the first time. I learned about it on the boards. Last time we stayed for fireworks we were next to a garbage bin near the water and it was uncomfortably crowded. The Pirate cruise sounds cool, but I'm not sure we can fit it in this round.

New for us: Akershus breakfast (we did lunch once- Cinderella was there), O'Hana breakfast (we did dinner once so characters will be fun), Chef Mikey's, Coral Reef, Tepan Edo, Rainforest, Yak & Yeti- and BOG. We're all about the food, lol. We're excited about seeing the new Fantasy Land area, too! I hope to see Merida and Rapunzel. We're also doing Pirate League makeovers- one mermaid and one pirate (cheaper than BBB)

This will be the first time we've gone to Hollywood Studios- ever. I've never been, nor the kids, dh was there years and years ago. We'll be hitting the last weekend of Star Wars. We're doing H&V, 50s Sci-fi and Mama Melrose.

We are also doing the dessert party, and it will be on my son's birthday, so I am very excited about that! We are going to do the Water Parks too. This will be the first time for the kids at the Water Parks. We are also staying at Art of Animation for the first time. I know it's a bit of a walk to the Little Mermaid rooms, but my girls will love it!

We are going to try the water parks for the first time. I think I may also ride RnR rollercoaster for the first time - eeeeek! I am a ride weenie.:bitelip:

You are much braver than me if you get on that ride! I too am a ride-weenie. I have (in my lifetime and not recently!) ridden Space Mtn and Big Thunder. It would an act of God to get me on RnR or ToT!! I can do Barnstormer, though :-)

I unfortunately have to cancel my trip in June.. It's just.. Not feesable right now as I have my wedding in October in Las Vegas.. And my sister can't afford it right now and there was no way I could go to WDW without her
So have fun everyone.
On the bright side though.. My fiance and I decided we would do a Disneyland trip in April for my 24th birthday instead as its 1/4 of the cost!

I have a whole bunch of ADRs for 7 people at good times I have to cancel for may 31-june 9

We are going to Teppan Edo for the first time. We try to do something new each trip if we can.

We did the dessert party in 2011 and I honestly was not impressed with the view. The desserts were great though, lol.

We are trying to decide what else new we will do but probably won't decide until this weekend so we can look at it together.

Last year my (then) 6 year old asked if she could do RnRC. I didn't think she'd be tall enough, so I said sure, if you're tall enough. Wouldn't you know, she just made it! Her favorite ride is now RnRC! Good luck!

Sorry you are having to cancel! Have fun in DL!

OMG! I could never do ToT. Just the thought of it makes my knees weak. Barnstormer is fun and I do like Big Thunder.

I always feel like I am going to fall out of the car on Big Thunder! It is,however, my DDs favorite Mountain, especially at night!

We'll be eating at T Rex and Be Our Guest for the first time. We've also booked the Wishes Dessert Party. I'm really looking forward to that one.

The Dessert Party seems pretty popular. ! I wonder if any of you guys are booked for the same one?

The entire trip to WDW is new to us! We are DLR vets giving WDW a try. I'm very excited to just walk down a "new" Main Street or see the giant "golf ball" I've always seen on tv. (When I was younger I used to think all of Epcot was inside the ball. :rotfl2: )
But some of the special things we are doing is the Dessert Party on June 20th and the Keys to the Kingdom tour on June 25th.

We have eaten at Y&Y, 50's, and Sci-Fi. Our whole family loves Y&Y! It's probably our favorite in-park restaurant! Sci-Fi is just fun....nothing special about the food, but it's like another attraction almost. We are going back to Y&Y and Sci-Fi on our upcoming trip!
