Official JUNE 2008

Actually, we leave in 29 days as well! However, when we leave, we won't get to WDW until the next day, June 15th. :sad2: But that's alright with me, provided the weather holds out during the whole trip!

We are supposed to go to DHS that first day that we arrive to see SWW, but now I am thinking that it may be a bad idea since pp's have stated how crowded it gets. But DS is a huge Star Wars fanatic now. I figure that DH and I will discuss it on the way down there. We did not tell DS about SWW; we only told him that he could build his own light saber.

I have been leaning on going to Epcot on our first day. DD wants to ride something at DHS, I can't remember what ride but I think I finally got her to thinking maybe it would be better to go ride Test Track, Soarin and a few other rides she didn't get to ride the last time we went to Epcot. Plus our dining ressie's are at Coral Reef that day. DH said just plan for what I want to do and they'll follow. I wonder what he would think if I said just chill at the resort every day :rotfl:

I went shopping today and got so more clothes for when we go. I had a 30% coupon for Kohl's, so I got a lot of good deals :cloud9: Now to keep DD from wearing the new clothes for the next 4 weeks, maybe I should just start packing a few things ;)

Our tradition is to always go to MK first. MK is still the most magical, most Disney park of all of the parks to me. It's the only one that makes me tear up when I walk under the bridge to Main Street. So, no matter what time we first get to Disney, MK is where we head first! :thumbsup2

If your DH is anything like mine, he would probably think that you have flipped your lid if you said that all you wanted to do was to chill at the resort every day! :scared:

I wish that I could find a 30% off coupon for Kohl's. I need some more stuff for myself and DH needs some more shorts. I have bought DD 8 some new clothes but I haven't told her about them because I knew that she would want to wear them immediately! I figured that I would just wash them and pack them and then suprise her with them. I will have to do that for our DD 11 and DS 7 as well. I still have no idea what I am going to do for DH for Father's Day. I would love to suprise him with something, I just don't know what. Any ideas?

MK is hands down, the most magical parks of them all. Childhood memories of my first visit to MK come flooding back when I see the sign. I need to find out which day is considered MK's "slow" day, if there is such a thing! ;)

Kohls is doing a scratch off thing till May 20. You get either 15, 20 or 30% off. Try your luck. They also have some great shoes, shorts, etc. on sale and great deals on luggage!

Congrats on your straight A's. My oldest just finished her freshman year at college with a very respectable GPA. She was thrilled it was over and we were thrilled with her successful, smooth, happy, etc. her first year was.

My younger daughter, is two weeks away from straight A's her whole sophomore year! She's dreading those final exams though!

Still need to see what MH we can hit. Thinking of trying some EMH, haven't done that yet! This is our first long, leisurely Disney trip so we can take our time and see everything.

Because of events and/or meals I booked we are at DHS one entire day and epcot one entire day. The rest we will just park hop as we see fit!

We'll be back 3 days already  when you arrive.

We are there May 31 to June 5 and June 8 to June 12 if any of you June Dis'ers need me to scout out anything for you!

Thank you for the info about Kohl's. I wonder how long the scratch-off sale will be for. Hopefully it did not end Saturday.

You will have to tell us where your ADRs were and what you ate and what was/wasn' good. Also, please let us know about the crowds and EMH's at all parks that you attend.

Oh, where do your daughters attend college? I just graduated from TWU in Denton and have previously attended Blinn College and TAMU.

ok, sorry to jump on your discussion...BUT I LOVE KOHL'S...it is my "crack". I have a serious addiction to this place.

I want to 2nd this! I AM A TOTAL KOHLS ADDICT!!!! my MIL gives me gift cards every year for my birthday and I always want a Kohl's one,I can get SOO much for so little!

This is my first post on this thread. We are leaving in 20 days for our first trip to WDW. Arrival day we are going to check-in to POR for only 1 day and then switch over to BCV June 8-15. We figured get down to Orlando one day early, get some things done, and be able to get a full day on our "arrival" day. DD is going to BBB princess: the first day, DS will go to Lego store :tigger: , both will make light sabres @ WOD :chewy: , and all will enjoy HDDR that evening. The next day, which is exactly 3 weeks from now, we will hit MK running with an ADR at CRT for breakfast!!!!

I think everything is almost ready to go. Booked airlines in November before gas prices went out of whack, rented car through National with great code I found in the Transporation Forum, made ADRs ages ago, set up itinerary, touring plans almost done (hate figuring DHS), have most things bought, ordered groceries to be delivered, rented ECV for my dad, and have paid for everything! Best money spent so far has to be TGM--love it! I will make sure to report back and tell everyone if it was money well spent for a newbie.

As for Kohl's, I was there on Friday! Love that place! DH got some shorts that I swear would have cost 3x as much at Macy's and where can I find quality t-shirts for me that only cost $7??????

I can't believe I haven't joined this thread it! We check in on the 28th and leave on July 4th. We are coming in for a dance competition near Disney but we wanted to stay at the All-Stars Movies since there is a big group of us and definitely for the transportation. They dance at the Caribe Royal near Epcot so the drive shouldn't be that bad plus we are only dancing a couple of days and the compeition sold us 3 day hopper pass for $159, I thought that was a pretty good deal. Hope to see everyone there! :flower3:

I wish I had a Kohl's near me! I did get some great deals at disney shopping this weekend, They have 25% off plus free shipping over $50.

Four weeks from today, we will be on our way to the airport to see the Mouse!:cool1:

. I still have no idea what I am going to do for DH for Father's Day. I would love to suprise him with something, I just don't know what. Any ideas?

No ideas here, I had to cancel DH's gift. BP has gone sky high for no apparent reason, so no Petty Experience for him. I called his Dr. to check if it was okay for him to do and he said NO. So now I'm in the same boat as you. I have been thinking about doing one of the tours or maybe letting him rent a boat or segway while we're there. I could always let DD give him what she gave me, a lucky rock that now sits on my computer speaker ;)

Just got done spending more money at Disney Shopping. Anything else Disney we need will be bought at the outlet when we go, I refuse to pay the prices in the parks :rolleyes1

Hi Amy,
How about a Specialty Cruise and have the boat decorated for Father's Day and order a cake to have on board. You can do it for Wishes or Illuminations. I reserved one for our family to surprise my DH for our anniversary the end of June. Here's some info on it:

This is what it looks like decorated for a birthday: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/tsm1993/DSC04871.jpg

I am letting my DH play golf for athers Day at the Lake Buena Vista course while DD and I have tea at the GF!

How about personalizing a Disney Shirt that he can wear to the parks. They have an awesome selection at Zazzles.com.

Kohl's scratch off ends May 20th (Tuesday).

My oldest goes to UTD (University of Texas in Dallas) in Richardson. And my younger daughter is a Sophomore in High School and hoping to go to A&M, maybe Amy can watch her for me, lol, in two years!

I have slightly less than five weeks to go before our trip on June 21-30. Time is moving sooooooooooooo slowly!

We will be at the ASMo Jun3 29 - July 4 and I know what you mean! I want it to get here but then again once it is over I always get so sad. It will also mean summer will be half-way over and DD starts her senior year next year and I am thinking I might need medication for that!:scared1:
