Safe travels to all that are leaving soon and I hope everyone who I missed this weekend had a safe travel and are having a ball!!

I don't know how much I will be on here these last couple of days..i have a bunch of stuff at work I need to get tied up and I have to finish packing and getting any last min things.
I went crazy and spent most of yesterday making shirts..lol Gabby did not want a HS shirt..she wanted a Jasmin shirt and DH is not going to be there for our HS day that is why I only have one..lol I forgot to do an up close of the "A dream is a wish shirt" but it has bling on it too.. That shirt is special because I sing that to Gabby everynight and she acts like she can't go to sleep if I don't sing it..she calls it "The Goodnight song"

Home from the trip. Gotta say that it was a blast but the one thing that caused much irritation was the fact that there were 5 or more groups from Brazil there and they all went to the same park each day.

It wasn't bad that they were there, it was that they traveled in one group instead of breaking into smaller groups. And we saw one of the tour guides have all there tickets and go get fast passes for rides, which caused the fp to be gone for the day pretty much.

We also ran into issues at MCO because the people there were grumpy and not friendly. They had a lot of people trying to get through security and only had 2 gates open.

Other than that, we had a blast and were able to ride most of the rides we wanted (Soarin and Test Track were both 90 minute waits and no FP, even during EMH). We loved TSM, as we picked up a FP at 1130 am for 830pm and went through the line. Then the CM at the FP collection told us to go up the other set of steps since it was our anniversary. Got up to the front, and the ride stopped for about 10 minutes. But we rode and played the games. I can see why it is such a long line, but one recommendation would be to add TVs into the stand-by line that plays the TS movies all day long, so that if you are waiting an hour and a half, you have the movie to take your mind off the wait.

Exactly what I think about the tour groups. Why do they all travel in one group? When I went with a group in 2000, we could split up in groups of 4.

Totally off topic and I know but I had to share this with SOMEONE as I'm bursting at the seams! I finally decided to go to college to get a degree. I've decided to go for my Associates in Travel and Tourism so I can become a Strictly DisneyTA! The college I've chosen even goes in the running to have interns from WDW choose them! So when I go back to the world in 2 years I will be celebrating getting my Associate's degree!

we are exhausted.

we left WDW around 4pm on friday and drove up to Savannah. Saturday we got a little later start then we wanted at left around 9.30 instead of 7ish like we wanted.

the trip was longer then i thought and we were expected in around 9pm

BUT

something happened on I77 and traffic was backed up for ages. and after 90 minutes of going 10 mph we decided to get off and punch in the most direct route instead of the fastest on the gps which would have gotten us into Canonsburg PA around 11.30.

i will NEVER do that again.

stay on the innerstate always.

we arrived at our hotel just after 1am exhausted and totally stressed from going through the mountians in the pitch black night and to boot it started raining. pouring actually.

my eyes were soooooo heavy and i finally gave up and asked dh to drive (a huge deal because i suffer from major motion sickness and usually can't go more then 10-15 minutes without feeling very sick) and he drove the last 90 minutes or so while i shut my eyes and i think fell asleep for 20 minutes or so but was up to help him find the hotel since it was pretty new and wasn't on google earth or my gps updates

we slept in (ya right - as much as you can with a 4 year old) and checked out by around 10am.

8 hours later we were home. and happy to see home too.

i didn't get out of bed until around 1pm today. i just flaked out.

i'm so happy to be home.

honestly i don't know how you guys do it year after year. we missed sooooo much i wanted to do

i think part of it was doing VA and GA the week before - I dont' think we'll add disney to another vacation again. it's just too much

We were in Orlando July 10 to 22nd. The weather was hot, but we worked around it. Lots of pool time and we split our stay in the park averaging about 4 hours at a time. The kids were happy to go to the pool also.

We ran into a few tour groups and for the most part they were not a problem. In fact, some of the magic of this trip was from some courteous students at Fantasmic.

July is hot, but I can't wait for the cool December weather for our next trip. It's our third year for the Christmas celebration, I can't wait!!!

Hi everyone I have been back from vacation for a few weeks now but I have been so busy with work and kids that I just got back on disboards. Our disney vacation was the best vacation we have ever taken and part of that is thanks to all of you great people here. You all gave me great advise about how to enjoy disney in the hot summer weather and not even rain ruined my trip we had so much fun.

thanks to all of you disboards members on all the great advise and help planning my trip it really helped us to have the best family vacation and 20th wedding anv.

I now just want to figure out how to go do disney again it will not be for about two to three years but we will get back.

I hope you all had great july disney vacations too. Ina

Welcome back everyone! I certainly know how depressing that can be. Our APs expired July 15th - and we do not have another trip planned. Next spring break we will be spending on college visits instead of Disney. We are also talking about doing something "different" next year - either Disneyland or doing Universal/Sea World etc.....I just don't know if I can handle Orlando without Disney - LOL.

I have been having some back pain issues so I have not been on the Boards much. It is too painful to sit sometimes.

Kurby - I am so sorry about your rings - I hope you get some extra special pixie dust real soon.

I cannot wait to read everyone's trip reports! I have a lot of catching up to do.

Sorry your back is hurting, I completely understand what that is like (remember, my back went out in early June?). Sometimes no matter what you do it just hurts. I hope you feel much better soon. We're not going to WDW next summer either. We go every other summer. We're going to go on a Royal Caribbean cruise out of NJ instead, about 3 weeks into July 2011. We're going to book it in about 2 weeks from now!! I am thinking of putting a new ticker with next year's cruise...I can't bear to put the next Disney trip up yet, as it is more than 700 days away!

Just got home last night. It was such a great trip!!

We just got back today from our Canada trip (Ottawa). We had a wonderful time with many, MANY relatives! We saw so many people in 3 days! Now I am ready to be off and home with the boys until the school year begins in September. The vacations were a lot of fun, but exhausting too and we are happy to be home and able to relax!

I started my dining reviews before we left, and I managed to get 5 out of 18 done. I am doing it as a countdown, and I hope you guys check it out (there's food porn there!). The link is in my signature.

I just got back last week. It was the best vacation I've ever had! Honestly the weather wasn't unbearable, a bit uncomfortable but it's much more humid at home, so we were all for it! It wasn't that crowded, but there were A LOT of tour groups. It only rained twice while we were there, and only once did it affect what we were doing.

We went to Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and that's a different story, it was packed. 90 minutes to just get in to the section of the park, 75 minutes for Forbidden Journey, and probably 20 minutes to get into a store. Luckily we didn't have to wait as long as it said and we finished up in Universal in 4 hours. It was really crowded but enjoyable.

The next day we went to MK and there was seriously, nobody there. It was a 20 minute wait for Peter Pans Flight, walk on for IASW, 20 minutes each for pooh and Snow White. This was around 10AM. We finished all of Fantasyland rides in about 3 hours, it was great.

glad you had such a great trip we also did wizarding world of Harry potter I could not beleive how crowded it was were were there when it had only been open for one week and two days it was a little disapointing because they had sold out of most of the popular wands and it was a two hour wait for about everything even the stores it was pretty and we did have fun but it was really hot waiting for everything outside no inside air conditioned waiting it was all outside in the hot sun.

We finally got home from our 2 week trip tonight! Everything was great until our flight was cancelled today due to mechanical issues! We ended up getting on a later flight to an airport 1 1/2 hrs away, it was either that or do a change in ATL and still not get home until after 11 pm tonight. UGH!! My DH had to leave work to get us and then bring us home. The kids said we should have taken the cancelled flight as a sign we should have stayed at Disney longer! I'm going to post a review soon on the Resort board about the BC, BLT and the Poly!

Loved Loved Loved Bay Lake Tower. We had a beautiful studio, with a view of the lake, Epcot, and DTD, but any more than two people and it would have been tight.

Our favorite dinner of the trip was by far Citricos. The food and service were both top notch. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

I thought the Nightastic fireworks at MK were awesome, and the dance parties were too cute!

What did you eat at Citrico's? On our next trip, DH and I talk about putting the kids into the kids' club one evening and having a date night at a signature restaurant. Of course I am starting to think about that already even though it is close to 2 years away!!

I agree that more than 2 people in a DVC studio would be tight...we were in a 1-BR at BWV and it was perfect for the 4 of us! We looked at a model of a studio on the Boardwalk (just for fun) and it would be too tight for the 4 of us for sure.
