Well, my worst fear may have happened. My DS seems to beginning to get a cold, and me and my DD both are feeling like we are coming down with something too. I really don't want to be sick on this trip. We leave Thursday morning. I hope we will be ok by then.

Oh no!!!! Positive thoughts! Take Cold-Eeze...I hear if you take that when you think you start to feel something, it will prevent it from getting worse. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Vitamin C and Zinc at the first sign of a cold gets rid of it 99% of the time for me. Feel better!

We had a bit of FL-like weather today. 95 and heat indexes up to 105 or something. Add in 20-30mph wind and it felt like a blast furnace. Got my volunteer session in at the swim team fireworks stand and got in some 'practice' for our trip!

I have to share about my new camera. I got a Kodak PaySport. It's an HD video camera, about the size of a cellphone. It also takes 5MP still shots. AND it's waterproof!! With all the time we spend around the pools and in the water, I thought it would be perfect. We tried it out tonight and it takes amazing video and pictures in and under the water! I got mine from Amazon--the purple one was a few dollars cheaper than the blue or black so I went with it and had it shipped quick. (free with free trial of Amazon Prime) for $120. LOVE it!Can't wait to use it on Kali, at the Poly and TL.

I leave in a week from Thursday and I am already worrying myself with, "what if someone gets sick just before we go?" Here's to hoping everyone in your family is OK, take vitamin C and zinc I hear is also good for a cold, drink plenty of fluids to flush out those germs, wash hands often, and take it easy and rest as much as possible. Resting is a stress reliever and less stress means better immune system!!

Wow, we hit the road in 12 days!! That means that on Tuesday we will be in the single digits until we officially begin our vacation!!

So, where do you all think Wendy (Tinkerbell60) is right now? Somewhere in the Carolinas?

Oh and Nikki...I have been checking the 10-day forecasts for WDW for a little while now, just to calm myself down because they call for scattered or isolated thunderstorms just about every single day in the summer in the Orlando area! So I look at the forecast very early, and then when I check it for our actual trip dates, I remind myself that they had the same forecast for weeks already! And the percentage chance of precipitation is usually 30 to 40%. I am expecting to get caught in the rain at least once while in a theme park at WDW...always happens to me!

Nikki bought one a couple of months ago, and I think some others on the thread might have had a bit of camera envy. (I did; I bought one a month ago.) I wanted the purple, but the local store only had white. I needed it asap,so I didn't order from amazon. Enjoy it. It is very easy to use and so much fun.

Thanks for the tip! I will try that next time I think I am coming down with a cold. I tried Cold-fx which is mostly herbs, but I think I was allergic to something in it. I felt itchy the entire time I took it!

I Just bought my wife a canon sd1400 for her b'day (which isn't until next friday but we gave it to her early since we will use it in the parks). It's a pretty neat little camera, the thing is tiny and is pretty much a full auto mode camera which is what she needs. I have played around with it and done quite a bit and I love it. It shoots HD video as well but what doesn't these days? I was also looking at a panasonic lumix that gets great reviews but it is a little bigger than this one, so I went for the size factor since I knew she would appreciate that more. Did I mention that the camera is TINY? Anywho, I recommend it if anyone is interested.

Also, I just got the iphone 4, it's great. The camera and video on the thing are such an upgrade from the 3g. I can't wait to have that extra battery life whilst in the parks next week. (I also got one for my wife, we will suprise her next friday with it on her actual b'day. She is going to be suprised... shhh!)

Just checked weather.com and it shows high temps of 90,88,87 and 89 for the days we will be there next week.

Isn't it awesome! Such a great deal, too! The only thing is, you can't really take indoor pics because there is no flash. Like I said above, I would've liked the blue one but I bought it before all the colors were released. Ooooooh, using it on Kali is an awesome idea!

No I think it's 30 days from when you first put in your photopass card numbers. I'm pretty sure you can place the order much further in advance.

Sounds like us- DD has runny nose with cough and I have a cough and feelin' a bit run down. NOT good for Disney trekking through the parks!
I am pushing multivitamins and vitamin C. Trying to rest (you know how that goes), and hoping for the best! We leave on Tuesday!

I remember you talking about a camera but that was, what--100 pages ago? I didn't know this was the one. Anyway, I got mine on Amazon. The purple was cheaper, but I don't care about color. It was here in less than 48 hours with Amazon Prime (there's a free trial--just don't forget to cancel before you month is up).


All this talk of colds has me wishing I'd sent the Vitamin C and Zinc with my kids to swim camp.

My DS's cold isn't that bad. I'm sure he will be better by Thursday. I took Zicam - that usually works for me. So far so good. And my DD still has a bit of a sore throat, but that's it.

I still have to finish packing!!!!
