:ssst: Shhh! Don't tell my DH that I know, but I just found out that the Poly IPO:wizard: was able to book us for the July 4th Wishes :boat:cruise:sail:!
pixiedust::banana:pixiedust:I totally found out by accident, when I happened across an email. Soooo excited:woohoo:.

Awesome!!! I've been wondering if you were ever going to get it! So DH knew all this time and just wasn't telling you?! Sneaky, sneaky!

Hi all! Wow, I've learned a lot reading these boards. It's awesome to see so many people who are as excited about their vacations as I am. Total Disney newbie here. Actually, it's our first family vacation EVER!

We're staying at BWI from 7/21 - 7/26. My son also turns 13 the day after we arrive! Had booked at rack rate, then during my obsessive planning, dreaming and checking, saw the specials that extended into July. Called in and talked to a super-helpful CM who applied the discount to our reservation, saving us over $650. Was very happy about that! We got the 6 day MYW with park hopper and water park options and the deluxe dining plan.

I've already made our ADR's (it's ridiculous - I have everything planned out on a spreadsheet!)

7/21 Dinner at Cape May Cafe 5:40 PM
7/22 Breakfast at Kouzzina 7:30 AM, QS lunch at either Blizzard Beach or Epcot, depending on how long we decide to stay at Blizzard Beach and dinner at Teppan Edo 740 PM
7/23 Breakfast at Donald's Safari 8:30 AM, 2:00 PM lunch at Crystal Palace and 6:05 dinner at Tony's Town Square
7/24 Breakfast at Captain's Grille 7:30 AM, Lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In 2:35 PM and dinner at Chef Mickey's 7:30 PM
7/25 Breakfast at Princess Storybook Dining @ Askerhouse 8:00 AM, Lunch at Marrakesh 12:30 PM and dinner at Mama Melrose 6:40 PM
7/26 Breakfast at Cape May 7:30 and probably a QS lunch before leaving.

We're so excited about our first vacation and that it's at DISNEY!!

Thanks for all the great information here - can't wait to read more!!!

:cool1:

Congratulations on picking the best place for your first family vacation! The way you are talking, I would never think it was your first Disney trip! You are so prepared and knowledgeable! I will add your ADRs to the list later today.

Greetings!

After some discussion, we are doing a short summer trip in July, yay! :cool1:

We will be staying at the Poly July 20-25. Just booked the resort, so now I will work on trying to get some ADRs.

We are excited.. I promised not to do 2 trips in a year, but aren't some promises made to be broken? ;)

Mary

Welcome!! Love the Poly! Good luck getting the ADRs you want and post them here when you are done and I will add them to the list! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm sooooo excited! I had to be a "quick study" on this vacation and learn everything I could in a short time. It's hard to believe we're really going...in 149 days!! It worked out just perfectly. I'm already going to be in Orlando for a conference, so my flight was already covered. Dh and the kids fly in the day the conference is over. I wish I could be with them for their first plane flight ever, but at least I get a little time to check in and stuff before they arrive. I'm trying to think of some fun things I can do to make their arrival even more fun. Any ideas? Kids are 14 and 12 (turning 13 during the trip).

You must be on the Deluxe dining plan. How exciting! That looks like a ton of food, though. I don't want to bash your plans in any way, but you'll be spending a lot of valuable park time in restaurants. Of course, in the summer it's nice to have a cool place to sit and eat.

You can't go wrong with WDW for a great vacation, though. Congrats!

Have you considered the $750 giftcard deal? It would save you an additional $100. But you'd have to pay rack rate, of course. Then you'd have that $750 to spend while on your trip. I haven't looked into it too much myself, but it might be worth checking into.:flower3:

I just booked CRT for me and princess on July 29!! 6:50!!!!!!!:banana::banana:

You are very good!! So many people just go and don't plan and then wonder why they had a bad time! It is so great that you are taking the time to figure it all out to make sure you have the best vacation for your family!

I added your ADRs to the list! :thumbsup2

Hi, I just noticed that the list for my info of where I'm staying isn't right-

I'm staying July 19-24 at the Contemporary and July 24-31 at OKW.

Hey everyone! Tinkgurl just told me to come join this thread since my BF and I are "going with" her and her family in July! This is my BF's first time down there in July and my 2nd but the first time for me was in 2005 and before I was a Disney obsessor like I am now! We're a little worried about the heat but tinkgurl told us not to worry and I trust her!

The reason I say "going with" tinkgurl's family is because we're from NY and they're from a place not near NY lol So they're driving down and we're flying but plan on doing lotsss together (almost everything). Our dates are July 20-27 (hopefully 28 if my boyfriend will go for it) and we're staying at Pop. We got 7 day park hopper tickets and we have 5 days of water park/DQ tickets left on an old ticket that will never expire so we plan to hit up at least Typhoon Lagoon.

Here's our ADRs!

July 20- Spirit of Aloha 8 pm
July 21- Donald's Safari Breakfast (Tusker House) 8:30 am
July 22- 50s Prime Time Cafe 1:05 pm
Biergarten 6:15 pm
July 23- 'Ohana 9:20 am
July 24- Kona Cafe 7:05 pm
July 25- 1900 Park Fare 6:45 pm
July 26- House of Blues, no reservation but late dinner like 8:30-9 pm
July 27 (if we stay until the 28th) hopefully Chef Mickey's dinner

Hope to see some DISers there! :cheer2:

Yes, we're on the Deluxe dining plan. We like to take time to sit and eat - and enjoy some air conditioning :-) That Florida humidity can be killer for us dry Colorado folks!

I considered the $750 gift card deal, but we're not likely to spend as much as that so we opted for the $$ off on our room. We got $671 off our room with the deal, so it's just a $79 difference and gives us more flexibility as to where to spend that $$. I thought about that one a LOT!

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it! :-)

Thanks Nikki! Who knows when we'll be able to do another vacation like this...so I figured I better plan really well!

Can you change my 7/2-7/5 from CSR to Poly Club Level.:banana::banana: Thanks to the great 35% off code that came out this week!

Erika

I changed it on page 29 - lucky you!! We stayed Poly Club last year and it was awesome. I would have liked to go back, but we promised DS we would do CR this year.

:ssst: Shhh! Don't tell my DH that I know, but I just found out that the Poly IPO:wizard: was able to book us for the July 4th Wishes :boat:cruise:sail:!

Welcome! I have added you to the list on page 29 - you will LOVE the Poly! I love doing two trips in a year! We are hopefully going over spring break - as long as it stops snowing here so the kids won't have any make up days.

Welcome, I have added you to the list on page 29 - you will love Pop - it is a really fun place to stay. Did you request a building yet? We liked the 70s - not too far from the food court, but quieter since it is not in front of a pool.

Aaaaaaannd I might have celebrated too soon on the Wishes cruise. DH called to talk about it today. They want $718!:scared1: Plus a tip for the driver. Wow--that's just so much, I would feel guilty about that. This is for the Celebration cruise--it includes the Wishes music and 'snacks' and a ~1 hour cruise around Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon. Way too much money, IMO.

ETA: I know it won't be Wishes in July, but for lack off a better term.... :)

Wait, what?!? Why is it so much money?! Ridiculous!

I'm very excited to stay at Pop, we never have before. My BF isn't so happy because when we went in December we rented points and he wanted to do that again but it was just too expensive this time of year! We didn't request a building yet but I was planning on requesting the 70s since those rooms are refurbished! Thanks so much for the advice, any I can get is greatly appreciated :)

You are welcome. We have stayed there twice. The first time in the 70s then in the 50s. It was nice being by the pool in the 50s, but the 70s was just so much closer. You are right, they started with the rehab there too. There is a little path straight to the bus stop too, so if you are in the 70s you don't have to cut through the main building.

Don't be sorry, I just wanted it cleared up. :) :)

Thanks - I want it to be right!
