Well Good Monday to Everyone!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that it's an extra special Monday for me because.... I just recieved my Disney Magical Express information in the mail!!!!

So excited for us all!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how I missed this thread :confused3 We will be at BCV in July. Although its a little complicated. Me and DD11 (turning 12 on 7/17 the reason we are going in the dead of summer, I'm a May/October kinda of girl) will arrive in the evening of 7/13 in a studio. 7/14 we are switching to a 1bdroom and on 7/15 moving to a 2bdroom when DH and DD14 arrive. There are no 2bdrooms available on 7/14 so I'm hoping that I can convince the front desk to put me in a 1bdroom that is next to a studio that is vacant on 7/15. Bring on the pixie dust on that one! Is there an on going list on this thread listing who is there in July? So we are there 7/13 - 7/21.

I made some ADR changes (I'm amazed at what is still available!)...apologies to the person who is keeping up with the ADRs for us and must now be sewing a sabrecmc voodoo doll...

Canceled:
50's Prime Time at 11:20 on 7/17
Crystal Palace at 4:40 on 7/18

Added:
1900 Park Fare Dinner on 7/10 at 7:20
Crystal Palace on 7/11 at 11:50
Hollywood & Vine Play & Dine on 7/17 at 9:15
50's Prime Time Cafe on 7/17 at 1:40

And I think maybe I'm finally done. Yeesh.

I'm looking at making some ADR changes as well. However, I can't decide which restaurant is the best at Epcot. I decided to pay out of pocket for CRT which frees up to table service(s). So, I am thinking of adding an ADR for dinner at Crystal Palace and somewhere at Epcot... Which restaurant do you all suggest for dinner on our last night at Disney at Epcot? I was thinking Le Cellier. What do you all think? Thanks for your help. I wanted your input before I start calling.

We found out today that my Daddy probably has kidney cancer. He only has one kidney due to complications from kidney stones about 40 years ago. They are running more tests Friday, and he goes back to the doctor 2 weeks from today. THe doctor is suggesting removing his kidney, and he would be on dialysis 3 times a week. He's also diabetic, has a rare blood antibody, and a hemphilian, so any surgery is scary. I am so worried.

Of course, our trip also looms in my mind. My girls would be devastated if we don't go, with all the build up happening around here. We have 39 days, and I just don't know. The doctor may want to schedule the surgery pretty quickly, so I would feel okay about going if he's been recovering for a few weeks, but I can't see me being 12 hours away during the surgery with all his problems...

Tara,

We really love Coral Reef at EPCOT -- in fact, we weren't going to eat there again this year but I decided to add it in to the schedule anyway because we love it so much. We haven't eaten at any other TS restaurants in EPCOT but I've read lots of good reviews about Le Cellier, Biergarten, and Restaurant Marrakesh (we're trying that one on this trip for the first time).

I've noticed that alot of people have ADR's at 50's Prime Time Cafe! Has anyone tried it? What kind of food is it? Its awfully popular :yay:I am wondering if we're missing something? :confused3

Just have a quick question about tipping. Doing more planning with the cash budget now.

I would love to hear peoples opinions so I'm supporting the CMs the way they should be.

From what I have read...

Housekeeping $1-2 per person per day
Food service 15-20%
Transportation?
Anything else I'm not thinking of?

Sorry if I broached a touchy subject, I know tipping is more of a personal preference. You can PM me if you feel like this isn't a topic that should be on the discussion board. I just feel a little lost on this subject.

THANKS!

Hoping my ME info will be in the mail today :)

Bellhop - $5 plus $1 per bag :)

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I sure hope it isn't as serious as expected. My family is dealing with something similiar except it is my uncle who has non-hodgkins lymphoma. I sent up a prayer for him and your family.

We have already got an ADR there and are looking forward to it. ;)
We are planning on going there twice while on our trip and I was hoping to get another suggestion. Does anyone know the name of the restaurant that supposedly has a great view for the fireworks display?

Tara

Rose and Crown in England supposedly has a great fireworks view, but it is getting really popular for that reason and no views are guaranteed.
