I never thought about the fact that this board is international and that not everyone was celebrating at the same time as us here in the States. Thank You for reminding me of how large and varied our planet it. Happy Belated Mother's Day. Lois

and might I add that the word "Hampers" gave me pause because in the usa a hamper is something you throw dirty clothes in. Although I know what she ordered from the florist because I've ordered from the florist before too. It obviously is a gift basket.! I love learning new English expressions that differ from ours!

In reality folks I am looking for some prayers. We were just told that it is possible that my mother in law may have a recurrence of Cancer. Not a very comfortable place to be. Her name is Jean and if any of you believe as I do in the power of prayer we could use your support. Lois

Thank you and we will do. Not sure if it is what we think that there will be much reason to fight but we really do not know. It seems to be in her liver and may have aready progressed to the point that her liver is no longer functioning as it should. That will not be good. Regardless it is not my decision I just want her to have what she wants. I know that I would want to make the best of what time I had and to prepare to return to my maker. I do not know what she will desire. Hope to know something soon and I will keep everyone posted. Lois

I want to avoid the whole birthday party headache and both our girls are thrilled to spend their big day at the happiest place on earth so we all win!!
August 2009 will be up next as that will be my other daughter's 4th birthday

I'm not trying to start a riot or anything, but is anyone else planning on decorating their resort windows? Now that I am staying at POFQ I need to find some 4th of July window clings, along with some Mickey Mouse ones. I just thought it would be neat if we could see each others window displays.

I want to do this as well but haven't found any! Let me know if you find them!

lol i never knew that 'hamper' was used in england, and not used in america!! i wonder if it's one of the words in the quiz in the United Kingdom pavillion shop in epcot?!
i've struggled a few times speaking to CMs at disney when making bookings, just due to pronouncing things differently & the long-distance telephone lines! .. i've ended up spelling things out, like surnames, in an american accent just to be understood... i probably sound ridiculous!!

Sorry, I should have clarified that. It's our first trip for this year on these passes. Our last trip was last November, we usually just do short visits every few months or so, but this last 6 months is longest we've gone without our Disney fix!!
We've been visiting Disney since our oldest was 2 years old and our youngest was only 2 months old.
We're staying in July for 4 nights at Pop Century and taking our oldest to 1900 Parkfare for dinner on her 6th birthday. Then we're staying in August for 2 nights at Sports and taking our youngest to Chef Mickey for dinner on her 4th birthday.
I'm thrilled because I miss Disney, I don't have to plan two birthday parties this summer and it's all making them happy at the same time!

That's so funny! I sometimes have to speak with students/parents who live out of the country and they have the hardest time explaining what they are saying to me in English while I have a hard time understanding their English!

I love the part when you said that you have to use an American accent! That just sounds so funny to me.
