Skampigirl said:I find that shoe companies make changes to shoes that have worked for me for years. Not sure why they feel the need to do that, but those minor tweaks cause big problems. I had worn Nike (Pegasus and Vomero) for years with progressive discomfort problems, but the last pair caused my toes to jam the toe box (I wore a half size larger than normal and still had this issue!). I have a wonderful manager at our local Running Free store who put me in Mizunos (I have a pair each of Wave Riders and Wave Creations). What a difference - for the first time in ages, my toes are happy! He had to talk me into them because I use the Nike+ system and like the way the shoe pod fits directly in the shoe, but I'm so glad he did!![]()
Shoe companies make slight (or major) changes every year, similar to what car companies do. Usually you can find out what the changes are well prior to the shoe release, or at least research them when you need that new pair. That's what I did when the new adrenaline GTS 13's came out there wasn't much change so not much different in feel. But sometimes they'll do a major overhaul r even out right discontinue one model and create a new one.
