Official Frozen at WDW Thread (Updated May 20th) FEA and RS Open June 21

It is a little confusing with other sites saying they will be in different clothing

Some of the early concept art might have shown different clothing? Not sure. But the reports here of their same costumes for this are very reliable. Plus the new blog photo shows the old costumes. It's a shame. I would have loved to see them in new gowns.

Is this new attraction in the same tier as Soarin and Test Track????

My theory is there is no incentive to put them in new gowns. Everyone will be clamoring for this because of the new ride, new location, and new Frozen-themed backdrop. Then perhaps as interest dies down, they can switch them to Frozen Fever gowns, and interest soars again.

My theory is straight up budget cuts.

Does anyone know if we enter at the back entrance if we can head straight there or do they direct you the other way when the park opens.

We're staying at the Boardwalk and will be using the back entrance for the first time and I'm exactly sure how it works.

You have to walk toward the UK, pass Canada, then Mexico and Normay

If they do what they did before, this is how it would work. You take a left after entering the IG, then enter Future World, then re-enter World Showcase at Mexico.

This is "comedy", right?

Pretty sure there was never anything official or even close to it that said they'd be in new costumes to begin with. Concept art from in the ride, maybe?

Well, half of what I post is really in jest.

But I think there was a lot of talk about them being in new costumes in the new spot. It is there summer house, isn't it?

I would have liked to see new costumes, and I do think it would have made sense. Don't recall seeing anything close to official that they would be though. We would have done the M&G that way, since we've met them before together in original costumes. Guess this saves me a FP!! :)

ETA: no... Wait... No FP, right?! Saves me time in line then!!!

Oddly enough, I do think the costume issue will reduce the demand somewhat. But between that and the lack of FP, it's really going to increase demand on the new ride. I can see parents giving the choice of doing one or the other, and all of a sudden it's a no brainer.

Yes and no. Unless Disney is going to ship old costumes overseas, then Shanghai is getting new costumes. And I doubt Disney is going to spend money to create new ones for Florida.

Again... nothing I've seen said they ever had plans to. Concept are from IN THE RIDE only, unless I missed it -- which is totally possible. Do you have any source?

The Shanghai stuff just gets old when it's not at all on point by any official or semi-official account.

We are going to be there the second week of July. Should I book an 8AM Akershus ADR? It's my 5yos first trip and it's for her birthday. We didn't want to miss meeting Anna and Elsa... I'm surprised it's not going to be FP+...

You should definitely book an 8am at Akurshus if you can! You can always cancel it with no penalty (before 24 hours) if you change plans. We will be doing this the first week of July so I'll post how it works out for us meeting Elsa and Anna and getting to ride FEA. :)
