*~* Official February 2013 Thread *~*

How exciting!! Is your Disney visit the first or last part of the trip?

It is the first part of the trip. I'm crossing my fingers that my friend will fall in love with Disney (even if none of us liked our trip to Disneyland Paris in March 2011) so we can visit Disneyland in Anaheim on our trip as well.

That would be awesome!

April makes us another month closer :woohoo:

Another month closer and one week left until I can get our flight tickets :woohoo::cool1:

Hi everybody,
We'll most likely be in WDW in February 2013! We've been planning to go back since we got home in Aug 2011, and hoped Feb '13 would look good. We'll be spending three weeks in FL, and probably most of them in the parks.

My little sister recently got accepted to the Cultural representative program in Epcot, so we're going primarily to give her a hard time :laughing: Joking, of course, but I see reservations at Akershus in our future...

This time we'll probably stay off property, which is new to us. It'll be an experiment... Wouldn't do it if it was just the three of us, but now we're big group - so many wanting to visit my sister!

Terkina - do you scrapbook? Such a unusal name, I'm sure I've seen it before :goodvibes

This time last year I had all ADRs taken care of - it does feel like a looooooong time until feb of next year!

Welcome to the thread T1nkerbell! Wow, 3 weeks in Disney, thats awesome!! :cool1: I agree it seems like Feb. is so far away. Hopefully it will go quickly!

We did off site last time and since you are going three weeks that will save a ton of money. I felt the same way, even if it wasn't my favorite I wanted to try off site to see if I liked it or not. Not to mention it would be nice to have a washer and dryer and full kitchen since you will be there so long. Welcome to the group :)

Thanks! It absolutely does save a ton of money. We'll probably be renting a town house with four bedrooms just minutes away for about $2600. If we were to be on property I think the cheapest way to get us all in one place would be to rent points and get a two bed room DVC unit. Probable cost about $11.000

We'll not be in the parks every day, of course, but some of us (me, dh and dd) will be spending a LOT of time there. Our motto is - "the more days you go, the cheaper per day" :dance3:

Terkina, I'm Taja mahal on the Norwegian scrapbooking board. So happy to see a fellow Disney interested Norwegian here :thumbsup2

T1nkerBell I haven't met many people from Norway interested in WDW and Disney. It's great to see a fellow Norwegian here :)

Which airline are you planning on using for your trip?

I'm thinking that it's best for me to be able to book the whole flight with one airline so if some planes are delayed so we miss a plane it won't be a big problem getting on a new one. It leaves me with not many options on flights.

Thanks for adding me to the FB-group, UndercoverMama :yay:
It's a great thing I have Easter break from work - I'm working my way through the FB and this thread to get to know you all.

It feels so strange to not be staying onsite this trip. We have only gone one time before, but I think it's safe to say we've caught the bug! The first time we went I reserved four nights CL at WL with free dining, thinking "we're from Norway - this will be our only trip ever, so might as well splurge a bit...".

Didn't work out like that! First I added four days at POP when I realized how huge the parks are. Then, because we were tired of travelig and the weather was acting up a bit, we stayed even longer. And now I'm planning three weeks...

Our plan right now is Feb 2-21. We'll be DH, DD and me; my mom and her financee; maybe her fiancee's son. My little sister will be joining us as much as she can depending on her work schedule (She'll be in the Norway Pavillion as a cultural representative).

We're planning to spend the last 4-5 days (when things get crazy for President's day and Daytona) just relaxing and shopping outside the parks. That leaves 14 days for WDW and Universal. Can't wait!!

Getting close to the 300 mark!

Time IS flying guys, so, what have you done so far and how are you preparing for your trip?

T1nkerbell- Our absolute favorite spot in Epcot is the Norway pavilion. My sons LOVE Maelstrom!!! I am sure we will see your sister while she is there because we really do spend so much time in Norway! :) How exciting for her that she gets to work at DW and talk about your wonderful country! What will she be doing there, does she know yet?

LucyBC80- It's going to go fast!! So far I know what ADR's I want to make when the time comes but that is pretty much it. I have a couple choices of resorts but have to narrow that down. It all depends on if MIL is coming with us or not. I want to start making the autograph books and Epcot passports for the kids. I also want to make some shirts. I am going to start looking on the Disigners page to get some designs made up.

The kids ask EVERYDAY when can we go back to Disney?!?! Feb. can't get here soon enough! :)

T1nkerBell 3 weeks at WDW sounds great. In that time you will be able to do everything you want in the park and even do your favorites over and over again :)

jannel80 I started planning our trip to WDW in August last year. The time has flown by. I can't belive it's already April and time to book flights. Hopefully the time that is left until February will go as fast :)

I wish FB had tickers. Just posting here to see mine since I booked my room at POFQtoday!!!!!!:cool1::woohoo:
FB needs smilies too. :rotfl:

Congratulation on booking the resort. It makes the whole trip more official in a way :)

I'm counting the hours until tomorrow when the free dining offer for the EU (UK site) comes out. The rumors say that they will offer free dining for the dates I want. And on the 11th I can book our flights :cool1: what a great birthday gift :rotfl: (my birthday is on the 11th April).

Today we decided to travel home on the 13th instead of the 11th of March. This means that I can't book our flights until Friday :( So I have to wait 2 extra days to make the whole trip official :(

On the other hand it means that we get 2 more days in the USA. Where we will spend those days we don't know until we get there. It won't be in Disney World :sad2: Maybe I can convince my friend to take 2 days in Disneyland in Anaheim :yay:

Yay for 2 more days of vacation!!!! :dance3:You can look at Lucy's spreadsheet on FB to find ideas for more things to do. Disneyland would be fun. I have never been to CA at all. Someday.
