*~* Official February 2013 Thread *~*

I have stayed on property when I was a kid and young adult. The last time was when I was either in college and we stayed at CBR. It was awesome because we got in and my dad wanted to nap, so my brother's and I went to River Country for the afternoon.

I really want my kids to experience that, but I am having a hard time convincing dh because he is really not a disney lover and tolerates it for us, well really me. He is also having a hard time wrapping his head around the cost, especially because we get such a bigger space off property for less money. I'm really hoping for either free dining or a really big room discount to entice him.
You can try mod if the price tag for a deluxe is a bit much for him.

She's watched the planning DVD countless times (she asks to see it almost as much as she asks for Sesame Street or Yo Gabba Gabba ... and I'm more than happy to oblige because Yo Gabba Gabba can really start to annoy....)

I absolutely love being immersed in Disney and do not want to leave the grounds. Period. I'm staying at POR - and this website really got my kids excited about it. Have you shown him any of the sites/photos that shows how much there is to do at the resorts (campfires/marshmallows/movies under the stars/fishing/boating/etc)? The photos alone just impress me so much.
yo gabba gabba = :crazy2:

POR or POFQ are nice and have the boat to DTD that we loved. Spunky, maybe DH will enjoy a vacation a little more on site. I know trying off site after two on site trips DH realized how much he likes being on site, especially not having to drive to parks :thumbsup2

We have reservations at AoA for Feb 1-9. I am going to keep my fingers crossed for some type of discount or FD, but because it's a new resort I was told that probably wouldn't happen. We will see :goodvibes

Since I don't fly I've already made my train reservations. Everyone else will fly so will start looking at airfares.

I am super excited about this trip since I haven't been to WDW in about 15 years and this trip we will have our two little granddaughters with us. They will be 2 and 3. People tell us they are too young and won't remember, but I figure while they are there they will have the time of their lives. Gotta live in the moment, right. ;)

Would love to join the FB group!

Welcome to all our new friends! :thumbsup2

I'm so excited about Starbucks opening stores around the parks, I don't drink straight up coffee but I can't live without my lattes and cappuccinos! I hope they are operating by February!

I guess we are all on the FB group and thats where we discuss our plans because no one posts on here anymore! So happy we have the FB group to talk with each other! :)

I know that it is easier for me to participate with the FB group because I am on FB a lot more than Dis.

It's difficult to have a plan now since we don't know the parkhours yet. I'm really looking forward to the day when I can plan which park on which day and what shows we will see when.

Hey everybody! Count me in too.

My planned dates are Feb. 7-10th at the BC. Best of all, this trip is going to be revealed this summer as a surprise for my mom and sister. We've stayed at CR and the Poly so far, and well...we're hooked.

It's hard to keep quiet because they keep talking about Disney these days. They have no idea it's coming.

Welcome to all our new friends! :thumbsup2

You and me both! I saw an article yesterday about Starbucks opening up in Disneyland and am keeping my fingers crossed that at least one, if not more, are open in DW by next year.
