Of course! The bakery is called Buttercup Cakes, they have a website: http://www.mybuttercupcakes.com/default.html and the owner, Dani, is really great to work with. Our cakes were about $200 a piece and the delivery fee was $20.
Wow! That's a really good price, considering Disney just charged me almost that much for a one-tier 6-inch cake with a few Floralytes stuck in the top!![]()
I'm going to get the cake for us to have in our room. I assume it'll be in a box as I'm picking it up from the BB. We'll probably eat off of it for 3 days, maybe 4. Should I pack something in our suitcase to keep the cake fresh? If so, what do you suggest.
Also (yes, 2 questions!) should I pack a knife to cut it with, plasic plates and forks or do you think I could get something from the hotel (ASMu) to cut/eat it with?
Yes, call the Cake Hotline. You can try requesting a specific flavor, but it seems like it's kind of a crapshoot what you'll get.
Here's the trick: If you order a cake with mousse filling between the layers, it will spoil if you don't refrigerate it, no matter what you keep it in. This last time, I ordered a cake with buttercream frosting between the layers and brought a large Tupperware to keep it inand it lasted for 3 or 4 days afterward.
I'm always leery of bringing anything resembling a knife through TSA. You might investigate getting one of those serrated plastic pie/cake servers though, and maybe papr plates. ASMu's food court will have all the plastic cutlery you need.

What about a chocolate slipper? We got one for DD at 1900 PF. It's under 20 bucks.

Hi, I ordered the slipper and my anniversary cake about 3 weeks out. Did it all on the same day. I called GF private dining.I would love to order one of these for my 5 year old niece. We're going to 1900 Park Fare on our first night and it's her first trip. How far in advance do I need to call to order it? We arrive April 18th.

Wow, I'm speechless over that HM cake. You definitely got the deal of the century. I have a feeling we couldn't duplicate that price for that cake, but it would be worth a try.If I thought I could, I'd make a Father's Day ADR at one of the GF restaurants & drive over for the day just to get my DH one. I'm assuming it also came from the GF bakery, correct?
