call teh number brian has provided above and ask for his email. i dont believe were allowed to give it out online. i had to call twice to get it, and when i did brian did not let me down. one cars cake 8 inch-smallest he could do- for april 23rd at chef mickeys for ds3. i can't wait to see it! we also got dd a cindy's chocolate slipper! i'm hugely excited for this trip. i hope you can get your son what he wants!

Thanks so much! I would love to see your cake when you get home.

What flavors did you go with?

Have a great trip. My parents are outside of Orlando now and said the weather has been nice.

We still have a good 2 months to go!

Becca

Those cakes are AWESOME !!!! I love the black, white, red with the Minnie bow !!!! Happy 40th, I am right there with you !!! I wish I would have had a cake like that on my 40th B-Day !!! Congratulations !!! That is one of the best I have seen on this thread !!!:santa::santa::santa:

Thank you! I was a tad worried about how it would come out as I did not give much direction and had two BFF's that I wanted to shock with it. It worked. Couldn't wait to show everyone back home.

These cakes look amazing. We are going to be at WDW for DH's 30th birthday, and I'm thinking about getting him a cake. I have a couple of questions though. I want to do a specialty cake, is 8 inch the smallest we can get? It's just DH and I.

Also, we are doing a split stay. The first part of our stay is AKL, then we are moving to the Poly. DH's birthday is on Oct. 1 (so we will be at the Poly already), and we are leaving Oct 3.

Do you cake guru's recommend doing the cake early while we are at AKL (I saw a gorgeous Jack and Sally cake someone ordered at Jiko, and he loves NBC)
OR would you wait until his birthday and see if I could get the Contemporary to deliver a cake to the Poly (any idea how much extra this would cost)
OR since we are doing afternoon tea at the GF on his birthday, order one of Pat's fabulous cakes for him then?

I'm really at a loss here. I can plan every aspect of a Disney trip, but this is totally new to me. I'm worried about a very expensive cake going to waste, but I don't want his bday to be anti-climactic because the cake came early.

Personally based on my really bad cake experience at AKL and seeing the amazing cakes at CR I would have the cake at CR.

Love that Cake Tracy! WOW!

Can I ask you, is that the "2 teir" or "3 teir" version of the Mad Hatter Cake?

I should probably be able to tell but I really don't know much about cakes....I would guess 2 teirs....:confused3

Thanks for your help.

I think it was just a single tier with a lot of layers. It would have had another cake on top of it (I believe) if it had been a two tier.

And for just being a single, there was a LOT of cake :goodvibes

no prob! i'll def post pics upon our return. ds wanted marble cake and buttercream frosting under the fondant....we were offered the mousse and fruit fillings, but i figured, with 4 of us and the heat, we have to take the rest back to wl, it would melt. we had a six inch in october, and got 8 slices out of it at 1900pf, home and then also gave away a third to another dis'er.
thanks, im freaking out slightly, dh is just returning in an hr from a military training weekend...everything of mine, and the kids is packed or tossed in a suitcase, but not his...but hes been given the day off tomorrow. thank god! the military was going to cancel the trip on us two weeks ago if i hadnt paid it off....eek!

This cake was ordered to celebrate our 31 years together. It wasn't exactly as I expected, but the cake was delicious and very nice. I called private dining and asked for the cake to be delivered as dessert after our dinner.
Price $95 ($45 for cake, $30 for flowers, and $20 for M/M topper)
Date Received: April 5th, 2010
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse filling, Buttercream Icing. I asked specifically for the Mickey/Minnie Wedding Cake Topper and the cake covered with pastel flowers. Cake was delicious!

what size was this? 10"?

I'm not sure if this has already been answered...but how far in advance should you order your cake? And when is the latest you can order it?

Some background: I'm surprising my DD with a birthday trip in May. She'll be 10. She loves Chip and Dale.

1. Can you get a cake at the Boardwalk and take it into the MK?

2. Can they make a cake with a Chip and Dale theme to it?

3. How many people does a 1 tier Mad Hatter cake serve compared to a regular round cake?

Thanks!!

we will be arriving in the world on may 29th m question is iam thinking about calling the cake hot line to order a cake we are staying at the ssr and having our arrival day meal at the turf club does anyone know if they will deleiover a cake there? or it only to certain establishments? it would be for my parents 50th wedding anniversery.

If you call the cake line, they will tell you where they can deliver to. We are having a cake delivered to Kidani Village. They said they would deliver to our resort b/c our resort doesn't have room service.

Am worried won't be able to get them as i work during the week and when i rang the hotline said they were closed sat and sun. Would be greatful for the help. thanks

i'm wondering if you have to pay for it up front - if not maybe someone in North America can order it for you if you're having a hard time getting through. I'd call for you if you don't have to pay upfront

I just called and ordered 4 slippers for 1900 Park Fare and I had to leave my credit card #, although she said it would not be charged until the day of. I did call back a couple times because the first person had a bit of a language barrier and just transferred me, which ended up being an answering machine that told me to call another number. I called back the original number and got someone who took care of me no problem.

They do not give any confirmation number so I am a bit nervous that I might not get the slippers?? Disney is usually so uptight with their reservation #s for everything that I was a bit surprised. I wrote down the date and time I called but now I am worried that I called too early (July trip).

CarolAnnB,

If you think it was too early maybe call back again to "confirm" your order about a week before you arrive at the world....I would think once you check in at the resort the Concerige would maybe be willing to follow up on it too...though a one week out confirmation should be enough....just to make sure your order didn't end up in the lost and not found....

I plan to order the Mad Hatter cake and I so want to call and talk to Pat NOW....its taking all of my control not to get on the phone....but I do plan to call about 3 weeks out I am looking forward to hearing some of her thoughts for decorations for my theme... and then again 2 days before we are due to leave ...oh boy I am rambling....becoming completly obsessed with this cake idea is this normal :confused3

When I ordered my cake they said the ADR number I gave them is the only confirmation number I will need. Guess we'll see!

And when I ordered the slippers for my Aug trip, I didn't have to give a cc #. Very inconsistent!
