this was the best scene.....a black transvestite named Pearly Gates :lmao: 'you can't get to heaven without me'

Without going through me :rotfl2:

So they dump the whole baby and Charmaine story line as well as the dead woman at the golf course!? We get no info on either of those!? What is up w/that?!

I did love the transvestite scene ... but the one w/Danielle "My boyfriend got shot in front of me and nobody cares about that" line was great, too! I was waiting for her to say something about that.

Do you think that Andrew's back to stir the pot between Bree and Orson!?

And, as usual, I have a question ... on the ride up to the campground, Lynette had Nora in the car. When Lynette was w/Tom in the car, were they coming back from the campground? Was she taking him to a local Dr. and was Nora watching the kids?! What was going on there?!?! It was v. interesting to hear Nora tell Lynette the truth about Tom not wanting to be in the ad business and Tom being too afraid to tell Lynette. I like how Lynette was tactful about it b/c she could've been really mean b/c of Nora.

I had to also laugh when Lynette and Nora were in the car and Lynette said something like "There are so many things that I want to say to you like I could just slap you right now but I'm not saying them!"

I think Orsen is the one getting the eye opener from Bree!

He thought he was marrying this naive little housewife - well, the surprise is on him!

It's probably the end of the baby story, but I'm sure the dead body story will come back eventually.

I think Tom and Lynette came home in one car and Nora drove the other car.

Elf---thanks again for your awesome recap.....love to read 'em!!!
I agree.....somewhat "boring" episode w/ a few funny lines in it. I think Orsen IS the one getting the eye opener, and it will be interesting to see what he does when he realizes Mike is awake...however, they better NOT give Mike amnesia :furious: !!!! I am sure once the storyline gets back to Mike & Orsen, the dead body (his first wife) will come back into play. (I'm still waiting for them to revisit Andrew mowing down Mama Solice :rolleyes1 --seems they've forgotten about that...unless Orsen finds out and blackmails him somehow down the line... :scratchin ) They already did find her at the golf course and altho Laurie Metcalf didn't recognize her friend, Orsen recognized "it" to be his wife. I was also disappointed there was no explanation for Danielle's whereabouts for her mother's wedding :furious: . I'm also looking forward to seeing how the Andrew/Orsen thing works out :scratchin ...should be interesting. I'm also betting Carlos & Gabby will reunite--he's more of a "permanent" cast member, so, I'm sure he'll be around for a long time. I too am tiring of Nora....something needs to happen w/ her--it's getting old. Hopefully the writers will realize the storylines are getting old and "juice 'em up"....just like they woke Mike up. (They need more men on the "lane" ;) ) So, alas, we wait yet another week....... :coffee:

I agree, I thought it was only a so-so episode. I thought it was ridiculous that Tom took 5 kids camping by himself--and 8 hours away?!?!?! And shouldn't he have called 911 since he couldn't move and Lynette was more than 8 hours away? I know it's tv but that was completely beyond the realm of possibility.

Once again I am with you on this Beth76. :thumbsup2

There are almost too many storylines IMO.

Paul Young helps his wife Mary Alice murder Zachs birth mother.
Mary Alice commits suicide-or will we find later that Paul killed Mary Alice and made it look like a suicide? He is also kept himself busy by knocking off a neighbor-Mrs. Huber. Resulting in Hubers sister Felicia hating Paul and trying to frame him for her own murder by whacking off 2 of her own fingers and putting them in Pauls car trunk. This storyline has seemed to have dissappeared.

Where is Zach now? Out living it up spending all of Grandpa's money???

What happened to Carl/Susan's ex husband? Edie is hung out to dry.

Bree. First Rex dies. Bree conveniently starts dating the Pharmacist that killed Rex by poisoning Rex's heart meds.
Brees son Andrew runs over and kills Carlos Solices Mother yet his only punishment is Bree taking the car away from him! :confused3
Danielle not at her new marriage to Orson but suddenly appears this week to complain about her shot down boyfriend. No explanation as to where she has been.
Now that I think about it, where was Bree's Dad and the stepmother? (played by Carol Burnett)?????

The dead body over at the Golf Course? Let's just forget about that storyline. Maybe the viewers won't notice.

Mike. For being on Wisteria Lane on some covert operation to begin with, now lies in a coma at the hospital and no one from his family or the police force or anyone other than Susan pays him any visits?

The Applewhites-the whole storyline with the crazy brother locked up in the basement. What was the point? It ended up going nowhere and the family dissapeared in the middle of the night and have never even been mentioned since. Another dropped storyline.

Gabrielle Solice-her storyline will soon be lost. The Solices have now lost 3 babies. Gaby falls and miscarries only to be told by the doctors that she won't be able to get pregnant again. The next baby they tried to buy and that storyline just upped and dissapeared fixed only by the maid deciding to be a surrogate for the couple. The only problem is that baby is obviously NOT the product of Carlos and Gaby as it is black. So now this week, the maid, the baby and the whole storyline gets kicked under the rug, but that's okay as Gaby gets a spa visit away from it all.
What started out as a fun, easy and funny to watch show has morphed itself into something that is just a big yawn same ole same ole Sunday night.

Spice it up. Toss Andrew in jail or a home for juvenile delinquents. Turn the tables on Orsen by having Bree bump him off!
Maybe give Lynette back her backbone and kick Tom to the curb until he gets a job. At the same time hire SuperNanny to come in and reshape those kids.
Have Carlos and Gaby get back together, only this time Gaby has to get a job selling lingerie at the mall instead of modeling it. With a pregnant bump on her no less!
Have Susan finally get her act together in the man department. Mike can wake up from his coma and maybe Edie and Susan can get back into fighting over him.

:confused3 :teeth: :confused3 :teeth: :confused3 :teeth: :confused3

I'm out of ideas.

but they DID find the body at the golfcourse...remember " I miss you Monique"....

The Charmay/Charmaine/Xiou Mei storyline was wrapped up last week. To think we went through all that bickering over Charmay's name & now, two weeks later, we will never have to write about Charmay again.

I am so glad Mike's back! :dance3: :rockband:  :cool1: party: :cheer2: :yay: :jumping1: :dance3:

Christmas Elf, I think there's a difference between dropping a storyline and wrapping it up. As Imzadi says, the Xiou Mei storyline was wrapped up. When they showed Gaby and Carlos being all "oh well" about losing another baby I think that was just the end for them--in the baby department anyway. It never would have worked with Gaby being a mom. The baby would have constantly been with a nanny while Gaby went shopping and to the spa and all the mom viewers would have been ticked about that.

As for Paul and Zach, I think that's done now. I think we're left to assume that Paul's in jail and Zach is off living with his inheritance. They were never main characters, so it's easy to just end their story line. Oh and Paul didn't kill Mary Alice. She definitely killed herself. In the pilot they showed her doing it while she narrated.

And the Applewhites, again storyline is wrapped. They also were only temporary characters. They were so mysterious that there's only so much the writers could do with them once we figured out their secret.

Didnt everyone miss me?

Now I do agree there are way too many storylines. I wish Lynnette wasn't such a doormat right now. I liked her better in the office. She really should just tell Norah off and be done with it!

Tom is such a slacker. First he doesn't want a vasectomy, doens't want a job in what he is able to do, he doesn't want to tell Norah off... Tom must be really good at something for Lynette to keep him around!

I am not really into that whole Lynnette, Tom, and Norah storyline.

My favorite is still Bre. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Another week on Wisteria Lane.................

Personally, I found this episode to be a real big yawn as far as excitement goes.

yea me too! After watching the complete season 2 in about 2 weeks time... completely unable to shut it off.... like a good book you can't put down.....

But now I'm finding this season a little boring so far.
I was thinking maybe b/c now I have to watch with commercials :teeth:
Maybe I will tape and watch later when i can at least FF the ads.

But I'll be expecting it to pick up now with Mike awake

I just KNEW they were going to give Mike amnesia.... :furious: how predictable!

Who else see's gabby and Carlo's getting busy again? All that tension??????

Is Mike faking the amnesia???? I am guessing yes.

Gotta love Lynette!! :rotfl2:

I always thought Gabby and Carlos would be getting back together. Then after tonight, I thought maybe not. But after seeing the previews for next week..... Gabby will be jealous, so who knows what that will do to her!

Susan--what a typical storyline for her! That she isn't there when he wakes up.

Liked seeing Andrew and Bree talking.

Did anyone catch what Andrew said at the very end to the group of guys standing around? I missed what he said.

I think I heard him talking about Drama Camp (using that story)....but it had very little adult supervision? Anyone else? Am I right or wrong. :confused3
I feel 85% that I am correct. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I don't think Mike's faking the amnesia. :( I think he's going to fall for Edie - or at least start acting like they are a couple. It gives her a much needed storyline & something to do. It will break Susan's heart, (did you see her face when Mike told her not to come back til next week,) who will turn to Ian  for comfort. Then things will really be screwed up when Mike does get his memory back. :sad2:

I'm glad Bree's back with Andrew.

Gabby & Carlos have too much feeling for each other. What's that saying, there is a fine line between love & hate? The worst thing you can feel for someone is indifference. They certainly do not feel that. I think they'll get back together. Although, it would be nice to see John, the gardener, back another round to make Carlos jealous again.
