I think I heard him talking about Drama Camp (using that story)....but it had very little adult supervision? Anyone else? Am I right or wrong. :confused3
I feel 85% that I am correct. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Yep, that's right.

This season is turning out to be a snoozer.

There were only two decently written "zingers" the entire episode. I knew that Mike would have some selective memory problems.

Danielle with the History teacher, absoleutely unnecessary plotline. If the whole town knows about it, why isnt this teacher turned over to the authorities? No, wait this is the same Fairview police department that thought Bree killed Rex/George. This is the same police department who could never found out who hit Mama Solis with the car. The Fairview police department are a bunch of bumbling idiots. Where did they get trained?

I did like the exchange with Carlos and the officers at the Solis home.

I'm not fond of Edie. Of course she would use her conniving self to get into Mikes psyche. :sad2:

Andrew, drama camp.. how silly!

I too think this season is a little boring. Hopefully they spice it up or I may have to find something else to do with my Sunday nights.

I am kind of finding Orsen to be amusing.

First he brings back Andrew, then he helps with the drama camp storyline. Then after Andrew sees that doctor guy he is supportive and nice to Andrew. Maybe he isn't all that bad.

But--then what is up with him and Mike?? :confused3

Seriously - if Bree knows her underage daughter is sleeping with a teacher, why hasn't she called the police or the school? That man should not be allowed to teach high school students, or anyone else for that matter!

Well, there is that little fact that Orson is the one that hit MIke with the car putting him in the coma!!!

Maybe Orsen will be taking care of the history teacher. :thumbsup2

I thought the show was pretty good. I totally knew something was going on with Danielle and teacher when they showed her smirk at him at the science fair. But I agree, if "everyone" knows about how come no one's called the police. Seriously, as a parent if you heard even a rumor about that wouldn't you call someone?

Gabby and Carlos were good. I love how she got arrested for "assault". She's so used to having her way it was a great way to knock her down a few notches.

I felt so bad for Susan. For her to finally move on after all this time and with a really great guy. Then Mike wakes up and Edie's screwing with them.

Lynette and the baseball--eh. That was kind of a lame storyline.

I don't like Ian. I don't think he's remotely attractive and as far as accents go, his just doesn't do it for me.

What was his line about falling in love with her? Not the melt your knees kind of love, but the kind that makes doing the dishes bearable, or something like that? ICK!

We don't know that yet. The only hint we have is that Mike thinks he recognizes Orson (from prison maybe?). But Orson said "no that's not me". So it's got to be something along those lines.

Hmm, so maybe that's how Monique fits into the picture, too?

DH made the comment after we watched the show last night that, although Orson is obviously a nutcase with the mystery around his former wife and the Mike rundown, he seems to be pretty good for Bree. He understands the way she thinks and tries to make her happy by doing/saying the right things, such as reaching out to Andrew.

I do think that means the history teacher is in big trouble given the scandal. I don't think Orson's going to let that slide. And add me to the list of people that finds it very strange that all these parents know that a teacher is sleeping with a student and haven't reported it to the school or the cops.

As for the drama camp excuse, yeah, it's a stretch, but Andrew obviously appreciated having a story to tell his friends that saves face. The one problem with that, however, is the fact that he was on the news about living on the street. Surely Bree wasn't the only person who saw that.

I do wonder if living on the streets changed Andrew, as he actually seemed pretty genuine with Bree at the end. I won't hold my breath on that though...

Last nights episode has Mike out of his coma and word spreading thorughout the town.

We see the recap of Orson hitting Mike with the car and the fact that Susan has developed a relationship with Ian.

Edie has discovered Mikes eyes opened and runs to the Nurse station yelling "Code Red"!!!
The nurse then told the Doctor who in turned called his Aunt Ida who was on her front porch knitting a sweater. (Interesting. I guess I would question why the Dr felt ole Aunt Ida needed to be one of the first in the loop but, I digress) Anyway, ole Aunt Ida being the spry character she is took a jog over to Lynette's house to fill her in on all the details.
Lynette ran in the house to tell Tom who was busy playing a computer game.
Tom then emails Carlos who is busy with his divorce attorney.
Carlos then calls Gabrielle who is also busy with her attorney to tell her the news about Mike.
Gaby then calls a cake making Bree who promptly tells her daughter Danielle who in turn calls Julie. Julie then calls Susan up in the mountains. But the mountains provide for iffy cell phone connections.
Susie was having a great time up in the cabin taking a bubble bath with Ian!
Whut Wo!!!!

Cut to Bree and her new happy Beaver Cleaver family all eating dinner together. Bree has it in her head that a story needs to be cooked up to explain Andrews absence and the fact that he has now come back home.

Orson then comes to the rescue with a "drama camp" idea that Bree then wants to give a name to as she obviously thinks that would work as an excuse.
Maenwhile Gabrielle being the entrenprenuer that she is, is now holding a garage sale and is selling off all of Carlos' clothing and sporting equipment!
Gaby has even had the forthought to send out fliers advertising this event as Carlos has now sped up in his Mercedes clenching one, and not looking too amused.

Lynette's son Parker has just told his mother that he quit the baseball team. He tells his mom that daddy said it was fie but Lynette thinks otherwise.
She then takes him out in the yard to practice his swing with the bat. Tom now wanders out and wonders what they are doing.
Lynette informs Tom that Parker dhould not be a quitter and that he only has 5 games left and that he will be in them.
"It's called Parenting Tom, watch and Learn" :lmao:

Well, Julie has obviously NOT gotten the phone message across to Susan who is now washing dishes with Ian at the cabin. Ian is getting serious and telling Susan that maybe he could love her-it is clear he is starting to win her over.

Florence Nightengale ahem, I mean Edie is not spoon feeding Mike ice cream all the while sitting on his hospital bed with him.
Mike thinks the year is still 2004! Edie has to fill him in on.
The Doctor says he has amnesia and the damage might be more severe as he should only have lost a few weeks worth of memory and not 2 years. The Dr goes on to tell Edie that she should bring some familiar items up to the hospital in an effort to jog his memory. He also tells Edie to help Mike fill in the blanks on what he has been missing. She happily agrees.

Lynette and Tom are now at Parkers ball game where the boy strikes out. Lynette is not pleased and when she sees the pitcher at the concession stand hands the kid a fifty dollar bill and puts the idea in the pitcher kids head to help her son Parker be able to hit the ball.
Parker then finally hits the ball-----right into the pitchers head! ooops!!!
When the kids passes out, the couch finds the money sticking out of the pitcher kids uniform pocket!!!

Carlos shows up at Gabys. "Carlos, what are you doing here? Besides lowering my property values"?? :happytv:
Carlos then tells Gaby that he will be upping her spousal support, but since he will be giving her all that extra money, he will need to stop paying rent on his apartment, therefore, as he removes his suitcase from his car trunk, he haughtily tells Gaby that he will be moving back in!!! :rotfl:
Gaby is NOT happy! supposedly.

Meantime, back at the Science fair, Bree tells Danielle's Science teacher that she is pleased Danielle is doing so well in his class.
The teacher decries that Danielle is his favorite student. Bree then tells the inquisitive teacher that Andrew is back from drama camp.
A suited up guy then recognized Andrew as being familiar. Seems "Howard" is a very respected member of the community according to Orson. :lmao:
Orson is being very nice to Beaver, oopsie Andrew.
Later on at home, Bree asks Orson what he and Andrew were talking about at the fair. :confused3
Orson first says "nothing" but Bree presses on. Orson then tells her what Andrew told him about Dr Howard. He then tells her that men hired Andrew to do things that Andrew is not now very proud of. Meaning sex.
Over hot cocoa, the discussion continues. Bree is shocked that "Dr Howard"
would do that. As the discussion starts to wane, Bree tells Orson that Mike is now up from his coma.

Gaby, Bree and Lynette are sitting at Gaby's having coffee and discussing mens infedilities. Suddenly we see a boxer clad Carlos rummaging through the refrigerator. Nice tush, Carlos.
Gaby demands to know what Carlos is doing in his underwear and then acuses him of peeing in her shampoo! He then tells her No, it would have been in the coffee, to which suddenly no one wants to drink!! :happytv:

Susan and Ian are now in bed cuddling and talking about their future. Ian wants to go on another little vacation to Paris. Susans cell phone rings and Julie statically gets through the message about Mike.
Susan leaps from the bed and gets ready to go home.

Tom and Lynette are now told via phone by the coach that their son Parker and the pitcher kid are off the team for the bribary that Lynette pulled off.
Tom and Lynette deny they are fighting to Parker who now does not want to quit the team and wants to practice his hitting again in the yard.

Susan is getting upset with Ian that they are not leaving the mountains fast enough.

Edie is back in the hospital showing Mike some pictures. Mike is asking questions about Susan and Edie then tells him Susan is a tramp and that Mike broke up with Susan twice. She goes on to say that she is now with another guy and that is why she is not there now. Oh, and Edie also tells Mike that Susan is a liar! :lmao:

Orson is now at the hospital as well. The well meaning Dr has now told Orson about Mikes amnesisa and not to be upset if Mike doesn't remmeber him. This proves to be a relief for Orson.

Carlos now arrives back "home" at Gaby's. He discovers that he is locked out. Gaby tells Carlos that she changed the locks. He then throws a chair through a window while Gaby is on the phone calling 911.
After the cops arrive, we see Carlos in handcuffs. "Everyone knows, that in a divorce, the wife keeps the house, the husband gets the crappy apartment, it's the American way"!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
When Carlos tells the cops Gaby is just trying to get back at him. Gaby the casually swats the cop as she is talking. The cop then arrests Gaby for assault!! too funny!

Lynette is now meeting with the coach trying to get the kid back on the team. The coach then tells Lynette that the team needs new batting helmets...........Lynette gets her checkbook.

Next we see Bree with a basket of cookies on "Vera" the wife of Dr Howard (cant recall the last name here)
Vera invites her in for tea and some catching up. During the catch up session, Bree tells Vera about the good doctors antics with Andrew. Vera then gets back at Bree by telling her that Danielle is carrying on with her Science teacher in school!!! Sleeping with him in fact!

Lynette and Tom are back at the ball field watching Parker play. Tom is sharing his "dream" with Lynette qhen suddenly Parker hits the ball again and runs the bases!! But, he falls between 3rd base and home plate spraining his ankle!! Out for the season, what a shame....

Gaby is sitting in the jail. Carlos posted her bail and they leave. On the way home though, they get in a fight and Gaby gets tossed out of the car by the side of the road. Carlos has told Gaby that he still loves her and Gaby says she does not love Carlos and in fact had slept with John Roland the weekend before. That is what led to her being tossed out of the car. :teeth:

Danielle is storming out the door as Bree is telling her that she has found out about the teacher affair. Andrew then joins his mother on the stairs and they have a nice talk. He tells her why he thinks kids make bad decisions. She tells Andrew that if he needs to talk, she will listen. He tells her not yet. :p

Susan has now arrived at the hospital. She is intent on seeing Mike and having words with Ian about how the weekeend in the mountains should not have happened. She apologizes but wants to see her Mike.
When Susan does get to Mike's room though, Mike is not too friendly and tells Susan that she shouldn't visit him anymore. He tells her that he doesn't remember her and that he is tired now.
Susan is devestated and leaves. Edie appears from around the corner quite delighted with herself at Susan getting asked to leave by Mike. :guilty:

Last scene has Andrew standing around with a bunch of guys in the street. Andrew says "Drama camp was awesome, were talking zero supervision" :rolleyes1

Gaby at her lawyers office agreeing to give up all support from Carlos.
Lynette telling a neighbor that Parker just sprained his ankle and did not get thrown off the team. :sad2:

Vera telling someone off screen that Howard is working late again that night. :rolleyes1

Mike and Edie with Edie telling Mike that she didn't believe that Mike ever loved Susan. What a snot she is. :stir:

Next week: Tom is all excited as he is gonna open up a pizza parlor!
The Cleaver family is once again having dinner with Orson informing Danielle that it's only right that the student/teacher relationship is no more. Danielle is then seen heaving a dinner plate at the wall resulting in the plate shattering. Bree telling Orson to remind her to pick up some paper plates the next time they are out shopping!! :lmao: :lmao:

Gaby blowing out candles and asking Carlos if he thought he was seducing her. Oops seems Carlos has a date waiting in the bubble bath!

Susan trying to kidnap Mike from the hospital.

Oh I forgot... Tom is still a slacker

What an idiot.. I will say again, he must be good at something for Lynnette to keep him around.

No Norah this episode, that was a welcome relief!

Am I the only one hating the Gabby/Carlos storyline?

I can't stand the fact that she is so mad at Carlos, yet she is the one who had a long affair first. And I'm not liking how they dealt with the whole baby thing :sad2:

I really hate to say this, but I'm beginning to think Desperate Housewives is taking the same slide Melrose Place did. Bree & Tom should be used to it!

So it started out as a group of friends and neighbors going through life. Sure there are a few more skeletons in the closet than your typical neighborhood, but just enough to make it fun. Not too much in the way of insane story lines, 2 or so at a time. The friends hang out by the pool, meet at the bar, play poker in the afternoon and help eachother through life. This morphs into totally out-there stories, 5-6 major threads per episode, way too many secondary characters and friends who never spend time together.

At first, it was entertaining, and a pretty smart satire of life in the 'happy' suburbs. Now it is just ridiculous. The cops visit Carlos and Gabby every week! Where were Tom & Lynettes' other 3 kids? I don't hire a babysitter to go to one kid's ballgame - do you? I'm willing to give it a few more weeks, but I'm pretty bored this season.

At this point I'm waiting for Tom to come out of the closet and Bree to reveal her ugly head scar.

sk8ing mom--- you are so right! Season One was great, 2nd season was pure crap. The 3rd season is getting boring as well.
