*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

Phone CM could not book either for anything past 12/10. She said she can see the dates have been extended, but can't make any reservations yet. Her advice was to call tomorrow and see...looks like I'll be checking and checking the website all day.

Someone did get to book on a glitch for 12/31 but then everything went back to unavailable he/she said so I'm thinking it will be today. That's an improvement that the phone CMs can see the extended dates on their calendars now. I called last night as soon as I saw the rest of December was blue and the CM I spoke said she still couldn't see a schedule past 12/10.

I was able to get my JBJB dessert party for the 16th! Had to call in because online system didn't like my debit card, but only a 5 minute wait and had no problems!

Is the time on the website correct? 8:00pm is the start of the dessert party? If so, when does the show start?

I find it strange that when you just go to the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM part of the Disney site it does not have times past the 10th, but when you go to the dessert party section it goes through the 31st...

Some days it's at 6.45pm and others it's 9pm. Depends on what time the park closes that day.

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, but we have a dinner reservation at CRT at 5:20 on a party night. I thought I had read you can't go after 5 if you don't have party tickets. I want to make sure we can keep this reservation, or if I need to keep looking. Thank you!
Party ticket holders can go in from 4pm and non ticket holders have to leave at 7pm.

Ok great!

The website is still confusing though and Disney needs to get their stuff together. For example, on the night that I want to see the new show, the dessert party starts at 8:00pm, assuming for a 9:00pm show as you mentioned. However, the park hours for HS for that day has it closing at 8pm.

I'm assuming and hoping for a 9pm or later park close and a 9pm Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM. Fantasmic at 8pm followed by this at 9pm would be perfect!

Disney are so infuriating with their park hours. We go every December and it's usually around mid to late November when the final park hours are advertised for December. For example, Magic Kingdom has always opened at 7am for EMH leading up to and including Christmas week but yet it says 8am at the moment. HS opens at 8am the few days before/after Christmas but it still says 9am. We just keep checking the website for park hours changes and then juggle our fastpasses and ADRs. There is no relaxing when planning a Disney holiday (well, for us anyway!)

Well, today was FastPass day for us and I was a little concerned about what would be left for a Dec 28 arrival......but we got basically everything we wanted on all 4 days and more or less the times we wanted as well! Now it is all starting to feel very real! 60 days to go!!! And while I may be 53 and have grown kids who are joining us (with their significant others for the first extended family trip), I have not shared any of our plans with them for rides, dinners, etc. They are always my kids and I will always want to surprise them....
Happy planning all!

You sound like an awesome dad!

Hey there!!

I'm a little late to the party but DH and I will be flying down on December 11th doing a split stay at OKW and GFV. We booked the trip to meet my DSisters and their significant others. We have our FP picked and ADRs for Liberty tree, citricos, and morimoto Asia.

Happy to be planning with all of you!
