Karlsmom - when do you arrive on Dec 2? If it is late, I kinda agree with you that you may not want to do MVMCP that day. I was going back and forth between Dec 4 and Dec 7 myself - finally settled on Dec 4 because it fits our schedule better. I wanted to avoid a Friday MVMCP altogether. I'm hoping the Thurs will be OK.

Don't have a set time, we are taking the train to New Orleans from L.A., spending the night of the 30th there, drive for a bit- night on the road then drive to WDW...are your worried about the crowd on the 4th?

It looks like our 2 families will be going to the MVMCP on the 12th. I am a little worried about the crowds, but I think if we went on the 11th we would be to tired to truly enjoy it since we just got in the night before, late.

Staying off-site at Windsor Hills!!!

We went last year over Christmas and would like to avoid some of the crowds, so we decide to try early December instead!

Update to our earlier post - we've moved our resies back a few days. Instead of 3-7 we'll be doing 5-10th and MVMCP on the 7th. Woo hoo extra day in the parks with no extra time off work!

Hubby and I went for the first time last Dec. for our 10 yr. anniversary- yes, without the kids We had so much fun though- got to see / do everything!! We are sooooo excited to take the kids this year (ds5, dd4); we think they are finally ready! We want to go Dec. 1-4. Not sure yet about staying at the ASMu family suite, or getting 2 rooms? Seems about the same $ either way. See ya in Dec

If you don't have something already booked, I would hightly suggest that you do that quickly. This is the time of year tha trooms go fast and I am pretty willing to bet there are NO AS Music Suites left.

Question for my fellow December pilgrims...we arrive the 2d, leave the 9th. I'm a bit nervous about boking the 2d, b/c if we get in late/tired/etc. we will either have to be less that optimally ready for the event or we just eat the ticket. the 4th and 5th are premium nights, so that is a big 'ole red flag to me that there will be WAY too many people. Our last opportunity is the 7th, but Pop Warner will be at WDW....does anyone know if the Pop people venture out at night? I know, I'm probably over-thinking this, but if I have options, I'd just as soon pick the one that will be the best value based on crowd v. cost and most likely to fit our schedule needs. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Good point, I hadn't considered "the local effect", instead I was too focused on Pop Warner...I believe it will be the 7th. I'll book later today when DS is napping.

I'm new to the board, but wanted to add our trip in. We're going to be in the World from December 20 through December 30! We can't wait to do Christmas with the Mouse!

We just finished all of our ADR planning--now for the execution, LOL! C'mon 180 days!!!

Add us!!! We are going this Dec. 23 to Jan 3 staying at POR! So excited we are a family gathering celebration...16 in total! I never had cousins, my kids are so lucky to be sharing this with theirs!

That is exactly the same reason that I decided to go that night. Some other Diser's said that would be a great night to go that week and what a better way to start a trip, especially for 2 little ones that have never been to WDW before. Hoping to get them excited for the rest of the week.

Looks like we'll all have to plan our ADR's based on last year's calendar. Anyone coming up on their 180 day mark? Mine isn't until June 6 - and I'm still fussing with what ADR's I want!
