Official December 2008

We are also thinking of going to MVMCP on the 7th. Maybe we should have a mini-meet.

The 9th might be another option for us though.

would love to meet up with some people on the 9th if anyone is available.

I think I had proposed earlier on this thread that us "9ers" meet in front of Cindy's Castle at some point and scare a Photopass photographer into taking our picture - multiple times with multiple cards!! :rotfl2: (of course, at some point we'd also have to get the photographer into the picture, too!! :lmao: )

We have time to figure out the best time ... after we've all made our ADRs ...

BTW - I swung by my favorite Disney Outlet store - and all the pins were on sale at 50% off! :woohoo: I didn't go crazy - but I did pick up a starter lanyard for the DD for the trip ... (and a few other things ...) They're either dumping them or expecting a new shipment with new styles ... (or not ...)

So if you're into pins, you may want to check out your local Disney store in the next few days ...

Also - I stopped in at B&N to get a birthday present for my brother - and ended up picking up the WDW guide authored by the two Neals ... and started reading it last night ... So far - so good (with lots of pictures!!)

A Dismeet sounds fun (9th). When I ordered my MVMCP tickets I was able to also make a dinner reservation at Tony's for 6:15. I'm taking my parents with me and they are used to eating in the 6 o'clock hour. We'll figure it out more once everyone has their plans made.

A meet up sounds great.I have not decided on a place to eat on the 9th,was thinking we just might get CS unless anyone has any ideas?First time going so not sure what to expect and what to take our 4yr old DS to see during the party. If anyone has ideas please let me know.
Hugs kt

We will be at the party on the 9th also and would LOVE to meet up with some Disers!! We will be there 12/8-12/16 staying at POFQ. This is our first trip with our Brenna-bell, she will be 2 1/2 when we go!

Is it December yet??

:rotfl2: Also wishing it was DEC! We are going to the MVCP the ninth and are staying @ FW DEC 6- 14. I would love to meet some of my fellow DIS boards co-hearts; I could prove to my family that I am not the only one who it nuts about WDW ! :rotfl:

Well, we are going Dec. 7th thru the 14th, so I'll count mine by Sundays. So, after today I have 26 Sundays. I like this way better, it doesn't sound so far away.

DisneyCP2002 is going 12/10 - 12/15. Most likely will be attending the 12/11 MVMCP

Hi! Count me in too. I'll be there Dec. 6 -14th at the WL. I still can't believe I'm going to see Disney World all decorated for Christmas! We'll be at MVMCP on Sunday Dec. 7th and Friday Dec. 12. I want to make sure we get to see and do everything we want. Happy planning everyone! :santa:

We are going in December!! Our trip is the 7th thru the 14th and we are staying at SSR. Yippee!:cool1:

I'll be going 11/30-12/8 and staying at POP. I just got off the phone w/ Disney Dining and got all my reservations! WOO HOO!! :goodvibes

We arrive at Sanford at about 5pm on 12/12, by the time we get through immigration, get the hire car and everything else sorted it wiil be 6.30. Will it be worthwhile trying to make MVMCP as we'd still be an hour away from WDW? We could leave the luggage in the car and sort out unpacking the following morning.

I don't want to book the tickets and not be able to spend a good amount time at MK or even miss the parade. Do you think we would be better off going for a later date. The problem is, it's my DDs 12th birthday on 12/12 and she'll have spent most of it travelling. It would be nice to end her b/day on a high note, but it would be horrible for her if we got there too late for anything.

Any advice would be appreciated.

With all the things that could delay you...customs, late flights etc. I would think about another night. I'd hate to see you get all the way to MK and only have a couple of hours to spend. Besides with the time change etc. you'll be beat!!

Count us in! We will take our first family trip to the World Dec 10 thru 18th! Staying at POP and doing MVMCP on Sunday the 14th with LTT at 6:20pm!
:santa:

We are also celebrating DH's birthday on the 10th and DS will turn three on the 12th! :cool1:

I would recommend doing the MVMCP another night. It wuld be more disappointing t have planned it and then have something happen where you couldnt make it.
How about booking smething else to celebrate that day. Maybe the spirit of aloha dinner at 7 or Hoop De Doo at 7 or 9. This way you would not have to use any park passes either. Another one that gets alot of good reviews and might be fun for her is the 1900 park Fare Dinner. You could make an ADR for 8pm and order a cake. Keep in mind no matter what happens she will be happy thay=t she is in Disney and she can consider it a birthday vacation and celebrate all week. Make sure to get her a birthday button when you get there.

Neilsalop:
I HIGHLY recommend NOT doing MVMCP for al of the reasons already listed, not least of which is that ticket allows you to get in as early as 4pm. There's no way I would forego that much time in a hard ticket event.

Perhaps schedule a special birthday dinner at one of the resort restaurants? Or plan for a birthday cake to be delivered to your room (if you are at a WDW resort hotel) that evening!

My mom, my fiance, and I will be staying at All Star Music Resort (because it's the value resort with pillow top mattresses!) from Dec. 2-10. Actually, we'll be staying there until the 9th and we'll be spending our last night at AKL. I can't wait!!! It was going to be a wedding planning trip, but sadly we had to switch it to a Vegas wedding. The trade off is that I get to honeymoon at Tokyo Disney, though, so I'm still happy!! That'll mean I'll have visited 3 different Disney resorts in the span of around a year. :cool1:
