Official Dancing With the Stars: Season 18

How on the world can Danica be in jeopardy when she had an almost perfect score last week and is leading so far this week? She must not be getting any fan votes. I really, really hope she isn't a shocking elimination- several others deserve to go home before her.

The fan vote, popularity contest aspect of the show bothers me sometimes...

The 3 in jeopardy are "not necessarily" the lowest 3 votes-wise...... and I will be in total shock if Danica & Val go home tonight.

Just because she's in jeopardy doesn't mean her scores are low. They could have picked her because it's more suspenseful.

Unless Tom or Erin specifically say "these two are the bottom two," I stopped posting the 3 couples in jeopardy, because in the end, for the two couples not going home, it doesn't mean anything.

If two couples are the bottom two, I will post it that way so we all know. :teacher:

Well that's what I get for not voting. Drew is going home and that horrendous Nene moves on to next week.

I'm definitely voting tonight and throwing all my votes to Charlie, the sweetest one of the bunch.

The 4th judge needs to go. Fortunately, this one didn't say too much but he was still unnecessary. And Abby Lee Miller as a guest judge? Really? Macy's Stars of Dance needs to go.

Now excuse me while I go rewatch Meryl and Maks' dance about 25 times.

I have often wondered how they decide who is in jeopardy when they aren't the bottom two. It was time for Drew to go, much as I like Tony, I hope NeNe goes next week.

Count me in with the ones who want the guest judge to go away. No idea who this guy was tonight, obvious he has no clue about dancing.

Loved Maks & Meryl tonight, if they hadn't have gotten tens then I would have known the fix was in for Amy & Derek. I thought Amy's dance was good, 8's but it had a huge mistake, so how did it get tens? :confused3 Couldn't believe that Cheryl called it the best jive ever.

Agree! Nene should be out next. Have not liked one of the guest judges. Even Julianne was unnecessary. RedFoo was an idiot IMO.

I don't get all the fuss about Amy. Yes, it is wonderful that she can do all she can on prosthetic legs, but they said at the start that they would still have to judge based on her ability and I don't see that she earned 10's. Not that I think Meryl's ice dance training means a level playing field, but there are always one or two with an edge.

I also did not consider most of the songs tonight what I would call "party anthems".

Amy is amazing. She has incredible balance, which helps her tremendously. Although, she is also a competitor. I don't think, she would have a problem being scored fairly.

Omg. Maks in Meryl are perfection. DH walked in and said, "that boy has it bad for her". :goodvibes

I thought Amy did a great job. I am trying not to give her higher marks for the disability but she is dancing on the toes of her feet and she stated that is a 1 x 2 inch surface. She has to have good balance to pull that off. The cartwheel not only surprised me but blew me away. I saw one misstep during the middle but thought her marks were pretty fair. The guest judges always tend to mark on the high side.

I would have preferred Drew to stay longer than Nene. Can't stand that facial stub below his lip. Never figured out why men think that's a good look.

Now that there are fewer couples they have time to fill, thus the Macy's dance. That may stop when the couples are required to dance twice per evening.

Having a fourth judge is soooo stoooopid. I barely want to listen to three, having a fourth is just that much more painful.

loved Maks and Meryl, but then I have a thing for Maks, don't tell my husband. ;)

I am amazed by Amy, but I kind of hope she doesn't win the whole thing. I dread when they get to Carrie Ann and her assessment of their dance.

I would love to see Meryl, Charlie and either Danica or James in the finale.

Please send Ne Ne home!!!!

I also watched Max and Meryl many times. They are perfection. Yes, Max is very touchy with her, but do you remember what he was like with Erin?

NeNe needs to go--soon. But obviously the judges like her so who knows when fairness will takeover. Unfortunately, I think Candace is next and the voting for her has been unfair. She should not go before NeNe. The fourth judge needs to go also.

I hate to say it, but I am just so bored with this season. I mean, I know that Meryl and Charlie are going to do amazing and that no one will REALLY be on their level (others might get the same scores, but we all know that they didn't do as well) and we also know that those two are going to be in the finals. I would like James, but something about Peta really just annoys me. I enjoy Candace and Danica, but know that they don't stand a chance. I enjoy Tony, but feel he deserves a nicer partner. The fourth judge is annoying, especially when it is some obnoxious "singer" who admits he knows nothing about the dances or technique. I thought that was why we had Carrie Ann - to know little-to-nothing about the dances but to act all emotional and judge based on feelings ;).

I really wish we would go back to where there are two dances a night and everyone either does one or the other. I want people with significantly less dance experience to see them improve. I'm over having people who are professional dancers, though not technically in ballroom, on the show. Of course they have a huge advantage. I don't want moron fourth judges who have less knowledge than the average viewer or an obvious bias towards or against certain pros. The Macy's Stars of Dance thing can go. Or maybe we can just call it what it really is: The Derek Hough Dance of the Week. I love his dances usually, but do they have to make it so obvious that they believe he is the best pro they have by far? I'm glad that they stopped with the themes this week because I'm sick of each week having one. What's wrong with just coming out and doing your dance? And I'm still annoyed that they don't dance the mambo anymore.:headache:

I was blown away by Maks and Meryl last night.. I really hope they win this season. Maks deserves it and Meryl is fantastic. I am over Charlie, he kinda bugs me.

Yes, Amy is amazing. I don't know if she is being judged unfairly or not. However, she doesn't get dinged for things others might because her feet are locked in a position. (i.e. not being up opn her heels, not pointing her toes during the 'kicks and flicks', etc.) But, she still is great and having Derek cheograph for her is a major plus.

Nene doesn't bother me and I think there is a genuine affection between her and Tony.

Did someone really say Abby Lee Miller is going to guest judge? Lord no...

I'd like to see Meryl/Maks, Amy/Derek, and Peta/James(?) as the final 3.

I love this season. I want to be dazzled and entertained. The dancers are great this year. If I want to see people struggle to dance, I'll visit a local club full of amateurs.

DWTS stepped up a lot this season. I'm happy with it. The 4th guest judge can go other than that, keep thrilling me. I'll be happy with any if them (except NeNe).

Thanks for explaining that. I never got the little spiel they do at the end. So even though they are in jeopardy that doesn't really mean they are in the bottom 3?:confused3 I have only been watching for the last 4 seasons so I am not up on everything.
