I like Charlie! He and Drew are my favorites tonight. Splitting my votes between them.

I called my son into the room when Candace Cameron was dancing. I told him it was DJ Tanner. He recoiled in horror and said she's so OLD!!!! Kids. I thought she looked amazing and danced beautifully.

Ahhhhh! Erin Andrews is just horrible: not polished, harsh low gravelly voice. I didn't love Brooke but at least she was classy and polished.

YAY! I enjoyed the whole show! I missed Charlie tho, DH called right as he was starting. I think it's gong to be a good season Diana Nyad cracked me up and NeNe, she was a hoot on Celebrity Apprentice so hoping for more. I'm not sure who Peta's partner is but I've kinda forgotten him already..

Ha, actually yes. Erin needs to tone down her sideline reporter schtick but other than that I still think she was worlds better than Brooke who always seemed to be 3 steps behind everyone else (at least to me). My preference would have been letting Tom host the whole thing himself, but if I have to choose between Erin and Brooke, I'll pick Erin every time and twice on Sunday.

I have to say that was a much more entertaining show than expected. So many good dancers, I think the competition could get really interesting even with a couple of ringers in the mix. But poor, poor Billy Dee. That was painful to watch and made even more painful by how great almost everyone else was.

My faves tonight were Candace, Danica, Charlie, Meryl and Drew.

If Cody Simpson didn't have 6 million twitter followers, I'd say that the bottom next week would be Billy Dee, Diana and Cody, but I think he'll stick around for a good amount of time based on popularity. Billy Dee should go home first but he might get more audience votes than Diana. I was glad she showed so much personality in her interviews and I hope that will get her some votes. I'd like to see her stick around another week.

I'm torn. Brooke was dull as a rock, but this new one is so shrill. I had to mute it every time she talked. That voice. Unbearable.

I was really looking forward to both Charlie and Meryl. He has her climbing all over him WHILE on skates. I figured if he could do that, then lifts on solid ground would be no biggie. And it did look effortless for him.

Erin is definitely smarter. Although her voice is kind of annoying.

I'm hoping she tones it down, but at least she asked good questions.

Billy Dee Williams: I say he will be the first one out. I'm sorry, that was painful to watch.

I thought that was the best contemporary I've ever seen on this show.


I really enjoyed the show. Overall I agreed with the judging, I thought they were a little kind to a few people but not by much. I liked so many of them, glad to have Maks back, he got my vote.

The only one I really didn't like was the hockey player, Sean. I don't care for his personality. The only reason I knew who Cody was is because they named a build-a-bear after him. I wasn't impressed but if he has 6 million followers then I think he'll be around awhile.

I think it's going to be a fun season.

Completely agree. I do think Tom could have handled the whole thing alone, but I definitely prefer Erin to Brooke. I didn't find her that shrill and she asks way more intelligent questions and handles improv well. I think the only awkward thing I noticed was her banter with Cody and Whitney.

Really liked Danica, Candace, Charlie and Meryl and like Drew a lot but the others danced better.

I liked them all tonight, except poor Billy Dee. I think it was sooo much worse that it was a Star Wars schtick with Emma in a Princess Leah chain mail bikini. Blech. Of course, there isn't a lot they can do when the producers give them the theme from Star Wars. It was embarrassing and disrespectful for them to throw Billy Dee into a Star Wars bit along with Storm Troopers and Ewoks.

It was also embarrassing and disrespectful for them to zoom in on Amy's feet. Yes, we know. She doesn't have any feet now can we please see the rest of her body?

I was most surprised by Sean and Diana's wit. I thought that Sean danced well and that Diana could dance better. I threw some votes to Diana. I really admire her and my DD is a swimmer.

Cody Simpson is too stinkin' cute with some major hip action. My 14-year old DD squealed the whole time he danced . I voted for him on her request . (Repeat after me: "He's only 17, he's only 17, he's only 17 ...")

Meryl and Charlie were both awesome. As expected.

I like Drew a lot and I also think that he could do better than he did tonight. I voted for him. I wonder if he was the Juan Pablo replacement since Erin said something about only having 2 weeks to practice. I thought that they usually have longer than that.

We watched time shifted tonight and stopped the recording when Danica came on the screen. I asked my DD if she recognised her and she said no. I said that I'll give you a hint ... think "math". O-M-G she said! Bring me the book (Girls Get Curves) ... now how is she a star? I voted for Danica.

NeeNee, James and Candice all did OK.

You could definitely see some of the surprised looks from the contestants, like "I did?" There were a couple that covered well, but otherwise, completely obvious.

I'm also annoyed at the close ups of Amy's feet and just felt bad overall for Billy Dee.

Very happy to be back in the ballroom rather than at the mansion! I saw something today that JP is demanding no mention of Bachelor affiliation on promotion for some event he is guest hosting and has demanded that no press be allowed to ask about his time on the show. Tool.

So guys who watch sports like her because she's a statuesque blonde. Not sure how that translates to dwts. Guys are not the target audience for this show. The guys in my house scramble as fast as they can when I turn it on. I find her truly horrible to listen to.

My point was you must not have been familiar with her voice before DWTS.
