Official Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2019

Seems like the new voting system isn't working all that well. I've been voting for Sailor, really don't like Ally. I thought Alaina was really milking the tears, sure it was hard and sad but she seems to cry over something every week. The dance really didn't do it for me, thought Karamo's was more emotional, but that's just me. I'm really ticked that Sailor went home and Spicer is still there, my husband said it's like when the Palin girl was there.

There will probably have to be a Dance Off to give him the boot. Unfortunately Nov Sweeps doesn't start this year until Oct 31st for a month, which, if they do one, I suspect, is when they might do it, or the week after. So there may be one or more weeks where a better dancer gets booted off first. During that time, a lot of people will be talking about the show and who is getting booted off instead. And probably what the producers and ABC heads always wanted. And what Tom was concerned would happen. :sad2:
How many times did we say that last year about a dance-off? Where did that get us?

The producers are playing with fire. If Sean wins after Bobby last season they will lose many regular viewers. I gave the show the benefit of the doubt after last season. I won’t do it a second time.

Yes. Probably singer/actress Brandy was probably home yelling at the TV screen tonight, "Yes, Sailor, I know exactly how you feel!" That's if she can even stomach watching the show anymore, after missing out on being in the Finals for her season. :badpc:

Me neither. It took Mandy a lot to get me to come back this season. :(

Oh, and I just watched the ending again as Sailor sobbed in misery and Sean wasn’t anywhere near the ‘group hug’. The camera panned around and around and no Sean.
I saw Spicer and he seemed visibly upset 🤔

I watched the last couple minutes and missed him. I’ll look again since you said you saw him.
Seanlooked upset before Bruno's decision to oust Sailor. He was also in the group hug. Spicer is so short you could only see his head...think behind Alan? He came out to shake Val's hand.

It was a tough ending for the night. Poor Sailor!

I saw him. It was earlier, right before or after Tom announced who was going home. He looked shocked to me, more than upset. I didn't see him during the group hug.

If they did do a dance-off last year, I'm vaguely recalling. I think it happened earlier in the season. Bobby wasn't the worst, worst dance. There was a couple of them that could have gone. And one of the others did. (At least I *think* that's how I remember it.)

There is no one else worst than Spicer. I said last week that it is all very much an even playing field, except for Spicer - even if he did improve. So is everyone else. I think the producers knew last week someone other than Spicer was going. That's WHY they didn't have an elimination last week. They wanted a happy ending to Disney Week, rather than tonight's mess. (Not that they knew Sailor would be a sobbing mess like she was. :( But, definitely an upset over whomever was getting booted off.)

Sean is slimming up. I'm sure that makes him happy. I know it would make me happy.

There... that's my positive take for the day.

If I was the worst dancer (by a mile) in a dance competition, at a point where only good dancers were left, I would be talking to the producers about putting me in the bottom two, votes or no votes. I would be totally embarrassed to still be there. I felt the same way about Bobby's situation last season.

Do they ever send anyone home on Disney week? I'm not sure.

TBH, I thought Sailor was way over-scored. Of course, she was tons better than Sean (everyone is), but she would've been my second choice to go home. I thought her crying was over the top. Lauren was crying over an actual loss. Sailor was sobbing over being sent home on basically a game show. She could've tried to muster at least a tiny bit of graciousness and good sportsmanship.

OK, I looked again and I did see him standing with Karamo's arm around his shoulders. He looked shocked, as did the other dancers. I also saw him at the very end of the group hug, so I stand corrected.

No, there was not a dance off but I recall us hoping for one!

Bobby reveled in picking people off. He was never sad when another dancer went bye-bye. Nope, he asked his fans for more and more votes.

Hmm. . . :scratchin I don't remember. Good point.

She was probably already emotional because of seeing Lauren's segment. I don't think she's ever been in a situation of any type of competition before. She mentioned how she's always been afraid of being compared to her mother. I think she's rather emotionally young & sheltered. So maybe she's always been kind of sheltered from competition & comparison stuff. :confused3 And Val maybe has been bolstering her up that she really had a shot of winning. Which any of them could, aside from Spicer, as they all are improving tremendously. I noticed she started crying as soon as Carrie Ann chose Ally & Sasha over her. She nodded & started crying. (That's when they cut to Spicer & some other dancers.)

James was elegant, as usual. But, has he really grown? :confused3 He was this way from Dance 1.
