Official Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2019

It's rigged. I don't know when I'm going to get that through my thick skull. I keep hoping for the best.

Yeah, they've never been so clumsy years before. Since they got the new showrunner, and ABC has had a couple new Presidents of Programming, it's become painfully obvious since Ginger Zee's season.

Or the 9 was made to appear to do him in.

No wonder why they had to get rid of James last week. No WAY would anyone believe that Hannah got better scores or more votes than James. :sad2:
It's all clear as day now.

I missed the show tonight. I was traveling to CT for Thanksgiving. It sounds like I’ll be able to zoom through the show when I get home.

Blech on Hannah. But really, anyone is better than Bobby Bones.

If you take one look at social media it seems very hard to believe that Hannah was the front runner. It's mostly that either Kel or Ally should have won.

But in happier news, I got my flights last night for our annual July trip! Four nights in WDW, followed by a four night Carnival cruise. Had to keep the natives happy with the cruise part. Wish Disney cruises weren't cost prohibitive, but we'll still have fun on the old bucket of bolts, Elation.

There is no way Hannah's freestyle deserved 10's. She was ahead of the music most of the dance and was not fluid in her movements-- very cheerleader like (again). Kel's freestyle blew hers away. This was obviously planned and rigged like others have said. Kel was much better than Hannah last night.

Only watched the finale (and the last four dances at that). From what I’ve been seeing on social media, I expected that Ally would win. However, watching the last four dances, I was happy it came down to Hannah and Kel because they did the best. Was disappointed that Kel didn’t win because he was better.

Yey Hannah!!!!!!
YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
WOW!!!!

I did miss James, he should have been there over at least two two of the finalist.
Alley and Lauren were both all forced and sloppy, trying to throw in way to many tricks that just couldn't be executed well.
Line Dancing??? That is okay, but to limit it to simple line dancing moves???
And Ally is the one who did 'cheerleader' dancing. She is SO much better than her Freestlye showed. Literal cheer moves and throws. Not much dancing there at all.
Both came off as 'sloppy'.. being thrown all around.
Kel is amazing! But I don't think his dance being limited to Hip Hop helped him at all. Even though that ending was spectacular.

Len is the one who the producers need to send home.
OMG. Really. He is just not conducting himself appropriately as a judge.

This season has just not wowed like some past seasons. We need better contestants, and pros like Derek!!!!
But, Hannah did win this fair and square.
To those who whine and kvetch and complain and post such negativity... Sorry.
Just because you don't happen to 'like' the person who gets put thru or wins. And, that does really show.
I wonder, if the show is really THAT bad, and THAT rigged, why punish yourself by watching and then come here and post all about it.
Some of the comments... be careful people... (you know the last of this phrase)

Kel just lost all the Old Fogies votes.

But, he probably got all the younger crowd, hip votes.
I just watched his freestyle for like the 10th time.

I was thinking about what you said here and if the outcome wasn't rigged, and that's a big "if", you might have hit it on the head here. The old fogies didn't like this dance and didn't vote for Kel. But, idk if that would have been enough for him to lose the competition. Still leaning heavily toward rigged.

Anyhoo, I love his freestyle so much. That song was huge in the clubs back in the day. I've jumped to it many, many times.

Yep, it is hard to ignore the fact that Ginger, Bobby, Hannah, etc... are all ABC insiders!!!!
I will admit that I did not like and still do not like Ginger, at all. (I think she is about as full of herself as one can ever be)
And, look how far she went on that season.

I voted for Hannah last night. I liked her overall better than Kel. I agreed with Len's comments that both his dances last night were in the same style and felt very similar. Does that make me an "old fogie?" Maybe. But, I was happy with the outcome. And, obviously, this is an ABC show. It's audience is people who tune into ABC...which includes the ABC Morning News and the Bachelor franchise. Hannah at least had decent dancing skills. It's been said many many times on the various threads here that this show was never, and will never, be about who the "best" dancer is, but who people resonate with and vote for. Ally was the one they were "pushing" all season...not Hannah. Ally got judges "saves" three times for goodness sakes! And, she got more perfect scores than anyone. In the end, they could not push her over the finish line, although it was clear to me they were trying to. I have no trouble believing that Hannah "won" based on votes. I get that not everyone "likes" her, but honestly, she was pretty popular among the fans of those shows.

But, would the Old Fogies really make the effort to vote? This year, it was all by texting & online now. People couldn't even call in votes.

I do wonder if the two singers didn't cancel each other out? Especially with them both singing in their dances. I though it was extremely in bad taste that Ally would try to get extra votes by singing. This is supposed to be a dance competition, not "America's Got Talent." Maybe it backfired on both of them and people purposely didn't vote for them because of it? :scratchin

Whereas, Hannah has no "talent" to insert into the dance and showcase like they did.

Ally got judges "saves" three times for goodness sakes!

She didn't do herself any favors saying that. If anything, it reminded viewers she was on the chopping block 3 times. :sad2:

I’m glad that this season there wasn’t a former Olympian with mad skills and endurance, who starts with a clear lead. This year didn’t have a clear stand out for me and I liked that. James started strong, but didn’t grow immensely IMO, but people related and liked him.

I have never been a fan of Hannah, and barely heard of the other finalists ever- but they all seemed to work hard and grow in their skills. I could see surely see that training paying off. All the talk of being rigged and fixed, well who knows. There can certainly be shenanigans going on that we are not privy too on all the shows. I honestly don’t care that much. It’s entertainment and don’t take it that seriously. Sometimes I watch it, sometimes I don’t. I didn’t get to watch the finale last night, but will google the dances to check them out. I was curious to see who won, but honestly think it could been almost any of them.
