Official Dancing With the Stars: Fall 2015

I've heard so many rumors going around about what could happen now. All I know is this has in a sense created a clustermess in nice terms.

I think they should let Alexa back in. The only reason Tamar showed up at all was for Nick. Otherwise, she would have stayed in bed at the hospital.

And if she had been x-rayed and told ahead of time that she is so sick, she would have known she couldn't continue anyway, even after she saved Nick. Her life isn't worth the mirror ball trophy. She would have been the one to go home then. Or she could have pulled out to SAVE Alexa, and that would have given her much needed "fan favorite" votes she could use after the way she's been portrayed. There was no advantage for her staying on the show and then leaving after they got rid of someone else.

Thanks.

:scratchin It was still rather early there when she posted that. And then Mark had his foot injury, but I don't think it's that bad. It's not like when Derek fractured his foot. Dancers are actually supposed to stay OFF their heels. :p

Maybe ABC & DWTS still needs to have a couple more internal meetings & regroup and THEN decide to bring Alexa & Mark back, if Mark says he will still be able to dance in a few days. mark is a good enough choreographer that he can pull something off with a few days less rehearsal. And, like Derek, he can have a substitute dancer fill in (while he choreographs it all,) until Sunday, when he needs to partner Alexa himself.

The only thing I can think of is that the lawyers/producers decided against it and are sticking to the three with no elimination

It could be that Alexa doesn't want to go through the emotional roller coaster of being eliminated again. Plus, she's already missed 2 days which is huge.

Plus, how would next week's elimination work if Alexa comes back? At this point, she has ZERO votes as it wasn't even possible to vote for her. It would create a giant CF if they brought someone back now. Better to just have a week where everyone is "safe" than to bring back someone previously voted out.

I was shocked to see Alexa go, after dancing TWO 10s!!!
The minute that I saw Tamar drag herself back into that studio, I was peeved.
No way was she going to win this thing, as sick as she was, sitting in ER and the hospital.
The minute she showed up, I thought, this woman is sending somebody home who should NOT go home!

I have never liked her, at all.
IMHO, her comment 'I am the best dancer in the competition' was both very untrue, and very telling of the kind of person she is.

PS: Contestants dance with substitute partners all the time. There could have been arrangements made for Nick. No question.

I think it is safe to say that, to keep the show on schedule, Tamar will be considered as the one to go home, and there will no elimination Monday ngiht. Just to bad Alexa was not one of those to get that break!

Word is they will be dancing three dances this week now that's the rumor at least. I don't see alek handling this week well

He's done an amazing job for a true amateur and has made a nice chunk of $$$$$$. Alex will be fine, no matter what.

I don't see Alexa coming back. I'm sure that there is some clause in all the legal work that takes care of the situation. In my mind, it all boils down to Tamar and how she made the decision to dance when it was obvious (not to us at the time) that she would no longer be able to continue. She didn't know who would be voted off but I feel it was still insensitive to the rest of the cast. Maybe she did want to support Nick but like someone else said, there was probably someone ready to feel in for her. She caused someone to leave a week earlier than they need have been. And had Alexa been able to stay, who knows who would have been gone next week.

As far as any of us know, Tamar thought she had pneumonia which, as a strong young adult, she could easily recover from and learn all the dances she needed to this week. It was foolish for her to leave the hospital to dance knowing she had pneumonia, but it would have been unbelievably foolish for her to do that if she knew she had pulmonary embolisms.

Yes, it's sad that Alexa went home but I can't imagine that Tamar wouldn't have dropped out if she knew she was *that* sick since dancing could have literally killed her. Mandy, have you heard anything definitive on the DWTS websites you frequent?

what is going on with the show now are they letting the couple that got kicked off come back. she should have never danced if she was that sick

Sadly, I think Alek's fans will vote him through no matter how he dances. Alexa can dance circles around Alek, she just didn't have the patriotic fans behind her.

Possibly, some of her fans were also voting for her husband. I'm sure, he will now get all of those votes.

I guess you've never heard of positive affirmations? Athletes and coaches of athletes use them all the time. They have to visualize being the best athlete in the competition and verbally affirm it and BELIEVE it. Do you actually think Meryl & Charlie haven't said they are the best skaters in the world? NO Olympic level athlete could make it to be the best if they don't say it to themselves and BELIEVE it.

Generally, when we hear someone like Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger openly say they are the best, or even Trump who says it all the time. We all just roll our eyes at their arrogance or belief in themselves. But when a woman says it, whether in jest or affirmation or really believing it, she's suddenly a ***** and full of herself. :sad2: I have to wonder if most of the dislike for her (from the general public,) after airing she said that she thinks she is the best dancer, is from that mentality. That if a woman says anything about herself, she should be humble or not say anything at all. :scratchin

I agree. While some people do die from pneumonia, and I'm too lazy to Google it right now to be sure of the facts, I *think* most people die from drowning in the fluids that fill up their lungs. :confused3 I don't think Tamar thought she was that bad, although she was definitely breathing very heavily.

Whereas, (again my medical "knowledge" comes from watching a TV medical drama last week, :ssst: ) an embolism (blood clot) may break off and cause problems like a stroke or death if it goes to the brain. And since Tamar has a pulmonary embolism, I suppose that would go to her heart? :confused3 And doing twirls & dips and dancing around is not the kind of risk someone should be taking for simply a TV competition, especially if they are only going to drop out two days later. :upsidedow

For all we know, her dancing on the show may have caused the embolisms to develop. (Again, don't know anything about that stuff, but on the medical dramas, people always get worse after checking themselves out against Dr.'s orders :scared: as though what they did made their situation worse. :faint: )

I totally agree with you in a general sense. I do think that people believed that she said what she did in all sincerity and then judged her harshly for it. However, I don't think she said that as a positive affirmation. She said, "It's hard for me to say without me coming across shady, but I'm probably the best dancer in the competition.". I think the producers were looking for a villain in their show to create more drama and they manipulated her into being one. Some of Tamar's tweets after saying she was the best said that the producers told her to say it because everyone else was saying it (see the now deleted tweets here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=487143238130277). She actually didn't want to say it and felt uncomfortable doing so. See Val's response to People Magazine here: http://www.people.com/article/dancing-stars-tamar-braxton-upset-about-quote

We will hear that same kind of thing in the next couple of weeks either by the final 4 or the final 3. They always strut around saying "I'm the best! I will win the Mirror Ball!". Are we all going to say nasty things about them? No. Because everyone really was told to say it by the producers and they played them comments together in context.

Oh, missed that part. Nevermind then. Carry on. :surfweb:
