Official "Castle" thread! Spoilers welcomed!

Venues? So are we going to hear that the Hamptons house was damaged by Sandy as a reason why they can't use it, or are we going to futz around with looking at a zillion places before deciding to use it after all? (Presuming, of course, that the house is still available as a rental location, which could always change if the owner decides to pull it, unless MilMar bought an option on it for a certain length of time.)

BTW, is there anyone else here who is dying to see Dan Castellanetta return as Judge Markway to perform the ceremony? (There is something just SO perfect about having a guest character from the pilot present for this, not to mention the inside hilarity of being married by Homer Simpson. ;))

PS: Just to be clear, I know that the "Hamptons" house isn't actually in the Hamptons and therefore could not really have been damaged by Sandy. I just meant that the writers could use "hurricane damage" as an excuse if for some reason they cannot use (or choose not to use) the home in Malibu that has stood in for Castle's Hamptons house in the past. I think that just about everyone who knows the show and is imagining that wedding is envisioning it happening on that clifftop lawn ... never mind that there are no cliffs in the Hamptons!

PPS: I just checked, and for now at least, the house used as the "Hamptons house" is still available for use as a film location.

Well, as to wedding venues - a lot of the beach areas of Long Island were messed up after Sandy so who knows. Maybe they can't get that house again. Or maybe the whole looking for a venue thing will be for the comedy of it - and they'll end up getting married in the Hamptons anyway.

I love that the judge based on Markway in "Heat Wave" is described as looking like Homer Simpson.

And another interesting thing about character names - remember Nikki's old boyfriend Petar Matic? Well, Stana Katic's dad's name is Petar and Matic rhymes with Katic. hmmmmmm

Well, what I saw of tonight's episode I enjoyed. Sadly, there was a shooting at a mall in NJ and the local ABC station broke into the episode. I saw the first 5 minutes, then about another 5 minutes in the middle, then the last 15.

Yeah, I saw that on our local news after Castle. I'm sorry that you missed most of the episode because of some nutjob with a gun.

This is really an episode that you can't miss a second of. It has a LOT of twists in it. I won't say anymore in case others missed it too.

Let's just say the last 5 minutes were really sweet with a certain pair hugging.

that I saw, and I loved it. We got the first minute, then they broke in, then the next few minutes before the commercials. Then we saw Alexis & Rick driving to PA, the beginnings of their investigation. Then the commercial break, then they broke in again. Then they went back to the show at 10:40 - to show us more commercials! Then we saw the last 15 minutes when they figured it out.

I'll be able to watch it free on demand tomorrow, so all is not lost.

I have to say that I saw that one coming -- there was only one person who seemed to have an unjustified chip on his shoulder about the campaign to prove that Frank was innocent.

Also, again I have a coincidence of owning an unusual object that has turned up as a prop on Castle: my DD has that silver/abalone dolphin pendant. We bought it for her at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium a couple of years ago, because she is fascinated with Winter the dolphin.

I really want to see Becket take down Bracken on and for all.

I do too, but I have a feeling we may have to wait a bit for that.

I got to see last night's episode on ABC.com at lunch time today. Really good. Loved the Kate/Lanie scene, the Lanie/Alexis phone call, the ending scene between Kate/Alexis. I liked that we didn't get to hear what they said to each other. Reminded me of the hug between Rick & Alexis in "Cops & Robbers" when Kate observed from afar. Now Rick got to watch.

I really liked "Like Father, Like Daughter". It may not be the best episode ever but it did have several good scenes & some good lines. It's always nice to see Nathan Fillion and Molly Quinn together.

Loved (I did mention a few of these previously):
the Lanie/Kate scene when Kate came to her to 'thank' her. Lanie saw right thru that, and Kate did tell her some of her concerns. Loved Lanie's "there are no perfect families", "you have to make your own history" and the remark about baggage. Love when those 2 have a scene together. Wish they did it more often!

the opening discussion between Rick & Kate about the wedding venue:

Beckett: I am not getting married in space
Castle: You said you wanted it to be special.
Beckett: Yes because when I was a little girl, being stuck in a small tin can with a thousand tons of rocket fuel strapped to my butt was exactly what I had in mind.

the phone call between Lanie, Alexis & Kate.

Castle worrying that they are looking at him as a savior, and that he'll let them down.

this little exchange between Rick & Alexis:

Castle and Alexis: “We need to talk to Kim’s mother."
Castle: “Now, that was weird. Usually I do that with Beckett."
Alexis: “Ew."

and this exhange between Rick & Kate:

Castle: “You sure you’re all right with this?"
Beckett: “Yes, I mean she’s practically family, I care about her, too."
Castle: “You’re pretty great, you know that?"

I loved that we didn't get to hear what Alexis & Kate said to each other. I loved their hug & the way Rick looked.

I knew right away that the cop who hassled them was either the bad guy or knew who the bad guy was.

And Rick may want a wedding in space, but I'm still hoping for a Hamptons wedding.

Looking at the promo for next week's episode, I already know what I'm not going to like: the freaking clowns!
