Well, "Time Will Tell" was a hoot.
Lots of good lines:
...
Beckett: You're trying to drive me crazy, aren't you?
Castle: Well, apparently I already do if we end up with three kids.
I think that of all the things that Beckett was hearing about their "future",the one that got her attention was the idea that 20 years in the future, she and Castle were still married. I could just see her really wanting to think that that one was going to come true. It's still her biggest fear, that if they get married that it will fall apart after a couple of years.
I *can* see her becoming a Senator. Senators actually have a lot of power, particularly those from very populous states like NY where constituents come from a wide political spectrum. What I cannot see her initially doing is choosing to run, but if she is involved in bringing down Bracken in a really spectacular way, I can see the governor offering her the rest of his term, and if she was good at it, she could win reelection. (Note re: The Rules; this is about a FICTIONAL politician, not a real one. No rule breaking intended.)
...
Loved that they left it open ended enough so if you want to believe in time travel you could.
Stories like that one are ruined if there is a logical explanation in the end. Much better to leave it unresolved.
Loved that Espo watches Dr. Who!
And loved it even more that when caught he tried to pretend that he didn't.
...
I will say one thing kind of threw me - when they were interviewing the step-brother's wife after he'd been murdered in front of her, she was strangely calm. If it was a usual case, I would have suspected her.
I assumed that she'd probably taken meds. Things like short-term Valium are pretty commonly prescribed when someone witnesses a loved-one's sudden death.
(Also, I don't know if you are a ST fan, but the step-brother was Tim Russ, who is best-known for his role as Lt. Commander Tuvok on ST Voyager. More sci-fi geek casting.)
BTW, speaking of great lines, I forgot to mention the one from "Number One Fan" that made me laugh the hardest. It's near the beginning, when Castle first goes into the dentist's office. He asks Emma what her demands are, and she doesn't understand, so Castle says, "What do you want?" She replies, "I just want you ... [pause]... to prove that I'm innocent." The look on his face before she finished the sentence was just priceless!
