Does anyone know what changes were being made to the restaurant and/or if there are any menu changes being made?

Thank you for the info! I will keep watching for the new menu - need to know there is a great vegetarian option for DH. Been a few years since I've eaten at CG and would love to do dinner in Jan on our rare adults only trip.
It's not completely changing gears or anything, I would call it more of an evolution of the menu (for example, the pork and pollenta dish is said to be changed to a duo of pork featuring that along with pork belly)
Here's a link to some other items on the new menu:

Even if there isn't a good vegetarian option it is likely that the chef can make something special. When I was Vegan a few years ago I went to the restaurant and there was nothing really for me. I told the waiter and he said, let me check with the chef. The chef ended up making me the most delicious meals of my life. So when you make your reservation, let them know he's a vegetarian or vegan and odds are good, his food will be better than yours.bjakmom said:Thank you for the info! On the off chance you haven't read it yet, this website is awesome not just for vegans but also for vegetarians going to WDW.

I think you can probably bank on a more expensive menu as well.

Thanks for the link. If the desserts are any indication, it looks like the new version of CG is going to be much more casual than it's predecessor. IMO, the chocolate dessert is the only one that looks like a fine dining dessert.
I thought the complete opposite the menu was vet run down with poor presentations now its very much "hip" and new it's very much more of a "foodie" restaurant IMHO
