LOL Yep, pretty sure that's a given!;)

Thanks for the link and the info - read DH your post and I think your experience convinced him we need to return!:goodvibes

YAY!! I am so happy I was able to help! I hope you guys get your reservation!!

Still nothing, but from the recent parks blog, it sounds like it will be soon!

Just checked again and still nothing for Oct 11th.

I was on the phone today making some changes to my resort level and enquired about the California Grill and still no ADR's for end of November into December.

Whenever I see this thread at the top of the page I get nervous like I must have missed reservations opening already :rotfl2:

Haha, I feel the same way. I'd like to think that they will announce when they will start taking reservations at least a little in advance, but my fear is that it will just open up at some point with no warning and I will miss my chance by the time I notice :lmao:

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm stalking for a friend), but if I remember correctly, Disney has in the past not opened with any ADRs at first-- taking everyone as Walk ins for the first few weeks. Much like a soft opening. Not always, of course, but it seems like this might be the case this time.

I really hope not. Keeping my fingers crossed that today is the day.

Me too I just want them to say what they are doing... If its the "soft opening thing" or "opening when restaurant does" then let us know I'm going in September and I would like to know where I'm eating :)

I'm with you. Our trip is in October and even though I have the restaurants that we are going to, this one would be the last ADR that I would have to worry about. I just wish Disney would hurry up and let us know what is going on....I'm very impatient when it comes to this sort of thing :rotfl:.

Well, I hope not (though we would then try to be a walk up ... but as a group of 10, would be a challenge)

Worse case scenario we have our back-up booked (Artist Point) but would really like to eat here!

LOL we have the same backup booked!!:rotfl2:

Oh, and I really hope they don't do the walk up either, if they decided to change things so that you HAVE to make dinning reservations 180 days ahead of time (which btw I HATE, I much preferred the whole loose, spontaneous trips of my youth) the very least they could do it give people notice in time to book ahead.

:offtopic: On a completely different note, is anyone else dreading the FP+ thing? I mean, this is bad enough, planning out where you're gonna eat/go half a year before you set foot in the park, but what park and at what time you are gonna ride which ride? I mean, I am a Program Manager at a VERY large Tech Company, I plan software/program releases for a living, so I can plan down to the slightest detail with a ton of complexity at a professional level, but I do NOT want to do it on vacation.:offtopic:

I 100% agree!

Thanks for the laugh this morning :lmao: I was thinking the same thing. How does one plan a whole day of fast passes and then you add the stress of making that time. All of a sudden a magical Disney vacation turns into running around for times. Heck, I get enough flack from forcing my family to make the dining decisions 180 days in advance. I can well imagine me calling a family meeting to discuss the game plan for each park with the white board out to calculate the rate of speed in which we walk and the distance we have to travel to come up with times. Then there will be the no bathroom rule--"I'm sorry DD, you can't go to the bathroom; we have to be at Space Mountain in the next 3 minutes!"

Still waiting to hear on CG. Praying since our back up plan is does not seem to be that well liked by many on here (GF cafe).

I agree with the both of you on this. It's bad enough I have to plan my ADR's 6 months in advance, now I'm going to have to plan in advance what time I want to ride an attraction.:headache:

Now onto topic... Come on already, I'm getting impatient waiting to "attempt" to get an ADR for the CG. LOL

OMG, yes! I was one of the optimists on the rant threads about it on the Theme Parks board but the FAQ on the site seems to prove the pessimists case... a 60 day window and no requirement of linking to a reservation number sounds like a mess. Disney fixed the issue with people "hoarding" ADRs but then created a system for them to hoard FPs!
