does anyone know if they can make a platter with the chocolate slipper dessert and one of the White Chocolate Cinderella castles with one of the mini wedding cakes incorporated in the platter design? Can this be done at CRT and GF? or just GF? I know I can order each seperately but I'm wondering if they would plate them all together in a really gorgeous girly presentation?

Hi all! Not too sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I will start here...

Our next trip is for DS's 16th birthday. He wants to have dinner at either Le Cellier or Tutto Italia, but he HATES cake (honestly I think it stems from a very bad experience when he was younger, he hasn't eaten cake in several years). So, I have seen may people post pictures of other beautiful items, such as the chocolate Mickey, Chocolate covered strawberries, etc. Is it possible to order items like that special for his birthday? Can a dessert be special ordered and customized for him?

My family and I were planning on ordering a dairy-free cake for my daugther's first birthday, but after reading so many horrible experiences I have to admit I'm a little worried about placing an order.

Does anyone have any experience ordering a dairy-free cake from the Wilderness Lodge? We will be staying at this resort and thought having the cake made/sent here would be much easier than trying to carry around a cake from another resort.

Any help to ease my mind would be greatly appreciated. This is a good "chunk of change" to spend on a cake, but since it's her first birthday we are trying to make it as memorable as possible.

Thanks for your time! :goodvibes

Thought of ordering a white chocolate slipper for CRT. I've since read that at CRT the slipper is random...could be the dark chocolate. I don't think the dark chocolate would be as good. So, now thinking of other ideas. Can you order the tuxedo strawberries for CRT?

I would think they would be able to do this at GF - no idea about CRT. The picture in my avatar is an order that I placed with private dining at GF. I asked for a White Chocolate Mickey Mouse, with dark chocolate truffles and decorated with a Christmas theme. I loved what I ended up with. It cost $57 or $58. Sorry I don't know how to post a real picture.

Anyone ever have a cake delivered to the Plaza restaurant in MK? Does the staff at WL do a pretty good job. Pictures if anyone has them.

Hello everyone!!! :wave2:

I've been following this thread for some time and I would like to thank everyone for posting their experiences and photos!!!!! :goodvibes

I am looking to order a 8''-10'' Cinderella cake for my DD 4th birthday. I'm looking to stay away from the standard 'slipper' cake. Our dinner is going to be at 1900 PF the second week in March so I guess I need to get working on this. If anyone has any ideas or can point me in the direction to see some different Cinderella cakes I would greatly appreciate it!

Does anyone know what the current process is for ordering one of the pirate or princess chest mini-cakes? Do we still need to call in advance to add it to our ADR or can they be requested at the podium?

We got a princess one last spring and at that time we had to call in advance. Just wanted to know if that's still the case. Thanks all!

I'm 90% sure that you can just order them at the podium but I'd have it put on the ADR and then remind them when you check in. If they don't have any advance warning (meaning it isn't noted on the ADR) you might get a very frozen/cold/hard mini-cake.

Good point, I forgot these are frozen. Thanks!:goodvibes

We will be celebrating our b-days while in Disney!!!!!

1) My DS will be 11 would he like the pirate chest? Any pics.? What is the price and how do I order?

He is having his b-day breakfast at O'Hanna's can I get this there? Thanks for the help!!!:)

Okay, I have settled on a design for my cake for Valentine's Day dinner at Narcoossee's. Would I call Pat at the GF and speak to her directly about ordering this cake? Also, when do y'all think I should call? I read somewhere else on the thread that sometimes when people order too far ahead of time, the order gets "lost". When should I place my order for Valentine's Day?

Thanks!

Ordered my cake yesterday from Pat. I got an 8 inch chocolate. My choices were either chocolate or vanilla, because the cake must be gluten free. That's OK, because the fact that I can have a fancy gluten free cake and not have to make it myself....YIPEE!!!!

It is for DD 6th Birthday. So chocolate, with choc mousse filling. Went with pink buttercream frosting instead of the chocolate ganache (since that cannot be turned pink :) )

I added the white chocolate mini-castle. Behind the castle will be all the princesses, and she said they will do it up pretty for a little girl.

We will be dining at 1900 park fare next week.
FOr all of you that need to order- 1-2 weeks prior seems to work out well.

We have ordered the 'allergy' cake in the past and not been very happy with it. The problem is that that one cake they sue for all wheat/gluten/dairy/egg/nut allergies. My dd is only allergic to dairy so we don't need all that. They also don't decorate them very much. This year I called our hotel's private dining (BCV) and spoke directly to a chef. They are making her a vegan cake with fondant and princesses. We get it monday I'll let you know how it is. SInce you daughter daughter is 1 it's probably not that important how good the cake is. My daughter is 7 and it's all about the decorations.

HELP!

Does anybody know if you can have a cake delivered to Port Orleans? If so, can it be delivered to the room or not?

Do I call just the main cake line?

Thanks!!!!!

The pirate chest can be added to your ADR at most of the TS restaurants, just call Disney Dining and ask it to be added. It is around $15 and is basically the size of two cupcakes together. The good thing is that the pirate chest is about 1.5 times deeper than the cake and can be used over and over for any treasure that he has. :)

If you call the Cake Hotline it will walk you through prompts for the various restaurants that can do cakes. Listen for one of the PO restaurants and follow those prompts. Sorry I don't have better info but I'm honestly not sure if PO can do cakes or not.
