OMG how freakin' cute!!!!!! Details pretty please! how much, how big, and is it possible to have your photo screened into that frame?
Thanks!
K

We got back a couple of days ago and had a wonderful vacation. Our Haunted Mansion cake at California Grill was just as gorgeous in person as the original pictures posted here. Brian outdid himself! It was a huge hit with my husband as well as my teen sons who love the HM as much as I do.

Ours was vanilla cake with custard & strawberry filling. YUM!!!! I am already looking for a reason to order a cake the next time we go to Disney.

I'm posting pictures anyway but it looks just like the one the original posted shared.

I just called today and ordered our cake for Cali Grill at CR for next Thursday. I was back and forth and finally decided to bite the bullet and order one.

Hey! We're going to be at the California Grill next Thursday too! And we're getting a cake too... :lmao: What are the odds? :) We'll have to check each other's out! :)

Just back from WDW and I ordered a Cinderalla themed celebration cake from the GF at the 1900 Park Faire for dinner. It was perfect. I really only told them to make it Cinderella themed. I will post pics later. Very cute though and all of the characters commented on the cake. It was a wonderful experience! I got a round 8in cake with chocolate cake and dark chocolate mousse, blue icing, there was a stand up Cinderella and a white chocolate shoe with truffles....yummy!!!!!

For anyone questioning getting a cake or not....go ahead and do it! We also got a Princess treasure chest cake earlier in the day and that was worth it as well!

blues2411, did you ask for that white chocolate slipper? is it included in the theme package price?

pictures?

Here are the pictures of my Ariel Cake with purple icing and sprinkles...the CR Bakery did an absolutely FABULOUS job :cheer2: There was soooooo much detail and it tasted great. My daughter was absolutely thrilled to show off her cake to Ariel. MANY MANY MANY THANKS to Brian and his team for making my daughter's Birthday so magical princess:

This cake is so cute!! You must've spent a fortune on it. :)

Quoted price $57. I couldn't believe how much detail was in the cake. It was so beautiful!

That is so funny. What will your cake look like? Are your ressies around 7? lol

Ours is at 7:45, but the cake is going to be brought out early (at the beginning) so we can actually look at it a bit before dessert. So you may be in luck!

It's going to be a birch tree stump (stump makes it sound so bleh, but trust me, it'll look nice! :) ) with our dog on top. How Disney, huh?! :)

I would LOVE to have something similar for an upcoming trip!

Oh, look at that! I didn't even notice! Yes, it's always nice to see Red Sox and Patriots stuff. I'm like, Look! Someone from home! And you know what we look like... :D

I want to post a big "THANKS" for this thread! I'm a lurker, I read this thread almost daily, the info. and pics are great!

Just ordered an 8" vanilla cake with strawberry/custard filling - Minnie Theme at Narcoossee's on 9/30 for 9 year old DD. Can't wait!

Thanks again! :thanks:

Can they do a cake with characters from Cars? I thought I read somewhere that there was an issue because of them being Pixar, but then I saw a Toy Story cake. I've searched for a Cars cake on here, but didn't see any photos, or posts from anyone saying they have actually done it. Now I can't even find the post I thought I saw saying they can't do Pixar Characters. Maybe I'm overlooking it or just losing my mind. I'd go with the latter..:rotfl2:

TIA!!

I just ordered a cake from AKL private dining for our anniversary trip next month. She only gave me three choices. I wanted a custom cake, but I didn't push it since I liked the idea of a zebra cake. The choices were celebration cake, zebra cake and Mickey head cake. The zebra cake is 10 inches, white cake, chocolate mousse filling and ganache icing. It will say happy anniversary and come with a card and an anniversary button. :wizard: I scheduled it to be dlivered to our room at 12pm.

I called Contemporary private dining and they are very helpful. I was given Jessi's email address. I was quoted $47 for a 8 inch customized Ariel cake like the one camelace posted(probably would be $57 with customized icing color).
The price I was quoted was much lower than Grand floridian;s bakery. GF charges $56 for a simple 6 inch cake. An 8 inch would be $67. So it's $20 more.

My questions is does anyone know, if I make a cake with CR, can I bring the cake to Ohana restaurant for dinner? Will they allow outside cake? Does Polynesian have a bakery at all?

Thanks!!! We're going in two weeks.

How far ahead do you really need to order? We're going to be in the world 11/28-12/5 and I'm looking at needing a cake for the evening of 12/2. I'm afraid to call too far out and the order gets lost but then I'm afraid to wait too long and they're unable to do it!

Also, has anyone ever had a World Showcase type of cake done? That and the MK are my hubbies favorite parts of Disney. If not I may just request the little wedding cake(what is that called??? :rotfl:) Our 10th anniversary is December 11th so I was also thinking of doing something with our wedding colors, which of course were burgandy and green ;)

Any suggestions? TIA!

Shannon

ok I called Pat earlier no answer, she called me back tonight. Super nice and easy to work with. I requested a Pink cake with the steps on it and cindy and prince charming...the standup images. i asked her to make it really princessy and girly. She said they could do an 8inch cake with fondant. Quoted cost was $77. It is for 9/30 at 1900PF..

I tried to get a custom cake for our dinner at San Angel Inn, my daughter's choice, and they said they just offered the standard cakes. I called the cake hotline, and that's the info I got.

Does anyone know if this is true, can you not order special cakes for that restaurant?

Epcot doesn't have a bakery so they don't have a way to make a custom cake. That's what I found out when I called to try to order a cake for my birthday at Garden Grill a few weeks ago.

You could possible try the Boardwalk, but you'll have to go there to pick it up.

Ok, I'm loving the pictures that I have seen and I have looked/read over half of the pages so please forgive me if this has been asked.

We are having lunch at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in two weeks. We will be celebrating our move to Florida as well as my DD 11th birthday. I have two questions. 1. When I booked lunch, I told them we were celebrating her birthday. I know at some restaurants you receive a free birthday cupcake. Do you receive one here? 2. If not, what are my options in ordering a personal sized cake for her? Do I call the restaurant? The cake hotline?

TIA!
