Does anyone have any photos of cakes available from the YC. We will be staying there to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and I would prefer to have one delivered to our room rather than when we are eating in one of the restaurants in the parks or other resorts.

Wendy,
We are having a cake from the Yacht club deliverd to our Illuminations cruise in just 28 days!!!
When we get back i will post a picture.
Be warned they were quite pricey. The plain cakes (not frozen) either chocolate or vanilla with your custom writing was 25.00 for a 8" If you wanted any character decorations or edible pi ctures it shot up to almost70.00 tho so we just got the plain chocolate with writing.

Sherrie - that would be fantastic, thank you. Don't mind the expense, after all, its only your silver wedding once! and we are not having a party at home so I really plan on pushing the boat out. I want to do the Illuminations cruise as well so will be interested in seeing how it goes to have a cake delivered just before then. Have a wonderful time when you go, and don't forget to let us see the picture.

Thank you so much for such an AWESOME thread.

We will be there for my husbands birthday on November 19th. When do you think I should order? And we will be at the Beirgarten in Epcot for that day. Any ideas as to where I should order his cake?

I read mention awhiel back about the Grand Floridian having a site that had pictures of their cakes. Does anyone know if there is one or not?? Thanks!

I emailed this to the Fidge, but I thought you would all appreciate this. This is by no means ALL of their cakes, as we have seen MORE than this, but it gives you a GREAT place to start. You will just have to download the Powerpoint file.

I just ordered a cake for my parents' 50th anniversary from the GF bakery. It will be a vanilla sponge cake with a white buttercream frosting. I am unsure of the filling, though. I ordered strawberries and whipped cream, but I am waffling. The other choices were raspberries and whipped cream, custard and fruit (I hate custard), a thin layer of jam or just buttercream. Chocolate is out due to food allergies. Any suggestions? (Yes, I AM obsessing!)

Thanks robin, but I believe that the raspberries and whipped cream means fresh fruit layered with whipped cream. Your (delicious) cake looks like it has a raspberry flavored cream filling, which seems to be different.

Please someone reply if you know the answer....
Are the cakes from Ohana's only available in Buttercream frosting? It's just not my favorite.

Well, I ordered raspberries and whipped cream. Either they gave me something else or you're wrong on exactly what "raspberries and whipped cream" looks like. I would call and double-check with them.

for a cake at CRT, do I need to call the MK bakery or CRT?

and bookworm, last year at 1900 we ordered a cake for DD's party and the filling was strawberries and cream and it was actual strawberries sliced up - it was delish!

sorry if this has been asked before, we are going to eat at wcc the first night there b/c it is my husbands birthday. I know that they do the thing where they will sing to you, but can you get a special cake from there? thanks everyone :)

407-824-7091 is the number to order a cake at one of the MK restaurants. They are open from 8a - 4p mon - fri and you will get a recording. They say they need at least 48 hours notice.

I order my 40th birthday cake from them last November. They told me I could have almost any character on it except Pixar and Pooh characters.

I do not remember the flavor choices if any. I love chocolate and that's what we got.

We will be eating at Cinderella's Royal Table the day after Thanksgiving for lunch and I'd really like to enjoy the slipper desset! Do I need to special order this ahead of time? Has anyone else done this for lunch time at the Castle? :thumbsup2

Anyone? :confused3 :confused3

I have read through the thread, and am not reading good things about getting a cake at the California Grill. :sad1:

Has anybody at all ordered a different cake than the plain one from CG?? If it is impossible for me to get a cake here, I am thinking about changing the nights up with our reservation at Narcoossee's so that I can get the cool cake with fondant and foil mickey's!! It looks so good!!

Yes, you do need to order it ahead of time as its not on the menu anymore; they need at least 48 hours or more. The phone number is in my last post. I think they can help you.

Yes you can order a special cake at wcc, I remember seeing some posts from people that did have cakes there. Call WCC WCC 407-824-2660 or WL WL 407-824-3200 and I'm sure one of these two numbers will help you. I definately remember someone having an all chocolate cake from there, it looked yummy. Check out page one and there is a picture from WL private dining. Hope this helps.

That was my dilema also. So I ended up changing ds birthday dinner to the Plaza (we had PS there anyway). I figured that we probably wouldn't eat as much at the Plaza and would actually have room for dessert. Then we are going out to MNSSHP to walk it off!

Maciec -- You totally inspired me!! I just made a lunch reservation at the GF Cafe, so that we can have a light lunch and then get the cake there. I just ordered my cake, a tall 6" with rolled fondant and gold stamp mickeys, and the white chocolate castle topper. There is a picture of it on the 1st page. It was $55. I am SOOOOO excited, my husband will love it. I hope I can keep the secret for that long!! I really didn't want to change my dinner reservation, because we got a table for 6 during the fireworks at the CG, and that is his favorite. YEA!!!
