Here's the cake I ordered from the MK bakery for DD's birthday Sept. 8 at CRT. It's the 8 inch cake with vanilla cake, filling and icing. It was $25 and the Tinkerbell was $8 for a total of $33. I did get the 20% discount for the DDE card. It was delicious and I thought the Mickey head confetti was a cute touch. There were only the 2 of us, so they boxed it up and kept it at the restaurant until we got ready to leave the park.

I love this cake! My DD wants a Tinkerbell cake for her birthday dinner. Will the MK bakery deliver to O'Hana's or do I have to order through the retaraunt?

wow what beautiful cakes you all had! I want to get one for a birthday our next visit. Can you order one to have in Le Cellier? WHo do I call?

Hello to all, I have just read through this thread, and right now I would give anything for a big piece of chocolate cake with an ice cold glass of milk! :scratchin

I am looking for any information on cakes from WL Private Dining. My main questions would be:
Do they do screen images on cakes?
Can you have a 6' inch cake customized?
If they have figurines, what are the choices?
Any other cool dessert items on the private dining menu?

Any other information or experiences or suggestions would be great...
I plan on having a cake delivered to a bday wishes cruise..... :ssst:

Thanks!

I hope to hear about WL cake info as we've now decided to have a cake in the room and just let DS enjoy birthday cupcake at Chef Mickey's. Hope we hear some info soon!!! :cool1:

I would let your fingers do the walking and call WL private dining directly. Call WL's main number and ask for private dining. You must call during their "delivery" hours in order for the phone to be answered. They are the best source of info and everyone I have spoken with has been extremely nice.

What I do know of your questions is that, yes, a 6" cake there can be personalized and, yes, they had figurines. I don't remember the full list, since I wasn't that interested, but Mickey and Minnie were mentioned.

Cake choices: chocolate, vanilla or marble
Icing choices: chocolate or vanilla buttercream or chocolate ganache
Filling choices: chocolate or vanilla (white chocolate?) mousse or raspberry

Another item I know they have are tuxedo strawberries. Fairly sure you can get the chocolate Mickey as well.

If you go to the very first post in this thread you will find all of the information that you need to call Le Cellier.

Enjoy!

I odered this cake from the GF Bakery. We ate at 1900 PF lon Sept. 17th for dinner and we were celebrating my Brother and SIL's 10th anniv. This cake was soooo good. It was all chocolate and that ganash is the best!! Cost was $25 plus tax. Well worth it!

I did a search on this thread but it didn't work, so I am wondering if anyone knows if Red Velvet cake for my BDay is an option in WDW. Any help you give is appreciated!

Has anyone ordered a cake for any of the restaurants in Epcot? We are going to Akershus in the morning and Beirgarten in the evening on my DH birthday.

I attempted to order a birthday cake for my DD at Akershus and was told adamantly that it will be a frozen cake and cannot be personalized and that there's only one size.

She told me to remind them when I got there but I didn't and we never got it but I was kind of glad. We had been celebrating her birthday all weekend anyway and I wasn't too excited about a frozen cake. They did give her the free birthday cookie and a card from the princesses for her birthday though.

Don't know anything about Beirgarten. Good luck.

I emailed this to the Fidge, but I thought you would all appreciate this. This is by no means ALL of their cakes, as we have seen MORE than this, but it gives you a GREAT place to start. You will just have to download the Powerpoint file.

WOW!!! Do you happen to know if they can make smaller versions of these cakes?

I love the Happily Ever After, but it will be just DH and I celebrating our anniversary. Maybe the top layer would cost alot less? If I call GF Bakery, would they know what I'm talking about?

Anyone ever order a cake with Goofy on it? :goofy: I want to do this at 50's Prime Time for hubby's birthday.

Also... I am thinking of odering a cake from GF for our "tea time" at the Garden View Lounge. It seems to me that GF and Boardwalk Bakeries seem to be the best at customizing. Still trying to decide what I want on it. I loved the Happily Ever After cake, but that might only be available for weddings. This will be our 10th anniversary!!! :cloud9:

If I were dining at Epcot I would definitely consider picking up a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery. It's only a five minute walk from International Gateway. It would be so easy to slip out and pick up the cake then come back in for dinner. If you're with a group one person could go for the cake while the others do something else.

Thanks for the great info. :thumbsup2 I just ordered a cake for my dads 80th birthday. Now lets hope that it tastes good. :cake:

Yippee!!! I had such problems with my computer and it finally was able to downlaod power point! Thanks so much RBennett, that is incredible!!! I now feel confident that any cake I order from there will come out wonderful! Thanks so much I want to get DH to reammry me just for those great cakes!!!! :rotfl:

Okay, so I called GF bakery this morning....no one answered so I left a messege. Still haven't heard anything from them. Will I be considered a pain if I call them again tomorrow?? I had thought they would call me back after a few hours but it's been all day now.

Ok, I read the whole thread! Great info!

Just to clarify - for my son's 10th birthday we'll be going to Chef Mickeys on Nov 5th.

I can either:
a) Have a 6" Chef Mickey's (frozen) cake, which I request at check-in. It will say 'Happy Birthday' but would not be personalised even if I order in advance? Is that correct? Will they bring it to the table?

or

b) Order a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery which would be more customised (and more expensive naturally). I could then pick it up myself and bring it to Chef Mickeys with me. That would not be a problem as we'll be staying at the BW. I'm sure he'd love a Goofy cake! But would someone bring it to the table for me at CM or would I have to just plonk it down on the table myself? lol! That wouldn't be too exciting I'm guessing!

Thanks in advance!! :thumbsup2
