I had ordered a cake from the ASMu foodcourt prior to our arrival. It was waiting for me at the food court when we checked in. It was a 12" round cake. Chocolate with buttercream frosting. It was really moist and yummy.
As you can see they couldn´t spell "Happy Birthday" though :rotfl2:
And please note: Mickey Mouse did not come with the cake. I had bought him at the Dollar General for $1 and brought it with me :goodvibes

Oh my goodness! The cake is super cute - but I can't BELIEVE they mis-spelled Birthday!

I know! Funny thing is, none of us noticed until we looked at the photos :rotfl:
I guess we couldn´t wait to dig into it. It was delicious :worship:

Where did you get the prices? I looked on the site, saw basic descriptions for the above but no prices nor are there any pictures. Do you have a link? TIA

Thanks for the info Katie!!

You are welcome! :)

Someone posted this information on another thread a while ago and I copied it and kept it on my computer so I could call and order the stuff easier than trying to find the thread again.

A nice CM gave me a cake hotline # to order a birthday cake to be served at CHef Mickey's for my four year old...I was curious if Mickey Mouse or one of the characters brings it over, or just a server? Are there any characters at a character breakfast or dinner that would bring over a cake? We will also be attending the Princess lunch in Norway and Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast. I'd like her birthday to be extra special :) Any advice would be much appreciated :thumbsup2

It most likely will be the sever. The server brought my birthday cupcake over at CRT.

Server's bring the cake/cupcake.

The characters have all they do to be able to hug everyone and sign autographs.

I can attest to the server as well. We celebrated our sons second birthday at Chef Mickey and the server brought the cupcake. During the "Celebrate" song Minnie tried to make an acknowledging gesture towards him.

Which should I call if I want to change my cake ressie from the 6" (I ordered the cake when I made my dinner ressie at CM back in November) to the new Pirate Treasure Chest? What you would do? Thanks!

I'm curious to see what the Pirate and Princess boxes look like. What's a loaf cake? Sounds like a pre-made packaged cake, I'm thinking along the lines of Hostess cakes or something.

Not sure I'd pay $15 for some party favors and a hostess cake. I'd have to see what they look like first. Sounds sort of like a birthday party goody bag sort of thing. $15 sounds pretty inexpensive though, by Disney standards, but if it's for $2 worth of stuff I'm not sure I'd do it. Then again, the other options are way overpriced cakes, LOL, so maybe I would. :rotfl:

For those of you guinea pigs ordering the gift boxes be sure to post pictures for the rest of us!! :goodvibes ;)

I found this info from a 2009 decorations thread on here. They say that it's available at most/all the Character meals.

As soon as someone gets this -

Celebrations become more magical when you purchase a,Disney Pirate Treasure Chest or a Disney Princess Jewelry Box, each brimming with surprises and an individual cake.
$15.00 + tax

Will you PLEASE post a pic!

I really want to get this instead of the 6" cake I already ordered from CM for DS's 4th bday. Does anyone know how hard it is to change my order? Will they let me do this? Thanks!

I'm looking forward to seeing this too!

I love the AKL goodies as well, does anyone know if they do something Hawaiian themed at the Poly?

I think I've read through all the posts in all the cake threads, but haven't seen a cake from Nine Dragons. Have I somehow missed it? If not, has anyone gotten a cake there, but not posted a pic? My DS chose Nine Dragons for his birthday meal next month, & I'm thinking about ordering him a cake. Any info will be appreciated. :)

Does anyone have pictures of the new 2009 cakes?

Am I to understand that now they have taken the chocolate options away from the smaller cakes and now I have to order a bigger custom cake to be able to get chocolate at all? There will only be two of us and I'll be celebrating my college grduation and I definitely have a weakness for chocolate!

Thank you! Amy

All the cakes at Epcot come from the same bakery, so any cakes you've seen for other Epcot restaurants can give you an idea what to expect. :thumbsup2

Good to know! Thanks :flower3: I'll go back & look for Epcot cakes. I know I've seen quite a few from Coral Reef & one from Tutto Italia, but that's all that comes to mind at the moment.

Hi-

I have tried reading through this thread and have gotten a little overwhelmed.

I want an anniversary cake at Tutto, if possible. Where do I call? Will it be a fresh cake, not a Sarah Lee store bought?

I like the castle cake, but it looks like you can only get that certain places. I just want something decent for 2 people. Nothing really elaborate, but still Disney-ish.

Does this make sense?

Thanks for helping! I love this thread with all the pictures, but I have just gotten overwhelmed.

For a cake to be served in any restaurant, call the Cake Hotline listed on the first page of this thread. The castle cakes are only available at Grand Floridian restaurants, I'm sorry to say.

The Sara Lee cakes are not served in Epcot because it has its own bakery. However, as someone who has tried both the Sara Lee cake and Epcot's "order when you get to the restaurant" 6-inch cake, I can tell you the Sara Lee cake was actually much better tasting!

However, if you special-order a cake for Tutto using the hotline, rather than asking for one when you get there, you won't get the same kind of cake I had! :thumbsup2
