****Official August 2014 Thread****

I'm looking at the EMH for the month of August and they changed a lot of the times! The first night we were there MK was supposed to be open until 1 am now it's only open until 11! Now I have to go through and adjust my ADRs and FP+!

I started mine about 11 or 12 and finished around 3 or 4. I made sure I scheduled the top top rides and figure I can get leftover FPs for the later afternoons for less popular rides. We plan to be there for rope drop and I don't think I'll need them before 11ish.

This would probably be the way I'd go, except I think we'll be leaving the parks around noonish and coming back at night. Although I've been down many times it's our first summer trip as a family, and youngest DS and I HATE the heat lol Which is why we'll leave for the afternoon........anyway, I agree FP's most likely aren't really need before 11 so it's silly to schedule 3 before noon. On the other hand, if I don't, I can't schedule others for when we return in the evening, and by the time we go back and use the 1 or 2 of our original 3, I'm sure nothing we want will be left. Oh well, I'll figure it out, I have till Friday! I still rather just go up to a machine at whatever ride I want to ride and pull my little piece of paper

We skipped last year and are so excited to be heading home This is the first year we've ever scheduled ADR's (I hate to plan anything out on vacation, I really like to go with the flow) but since we had to do the FP we figured we try out a few and see how it goes. We skipped last year too so I can't wait to go!! Where did u make ADR's? I'm the same way I hate having to plan everything! I made 4 ADR's for an 8 day stay. And I course I made all my FP+'s I have 58 days to go, but don't want to wish my summer away!

We have one at T-Rex, Sci-Fi, and Tusker House (for breakfast) and we managed to score the FDP. I have a house full of high energy boys We will see how they do with the few that we scheduled.
I don't really want to wish my summer away either, I'm a teacher and this year was tough!

I'm a teacher too and this yearly was really tough! Just finished on Tuesday and ready to relax! I have a house full of boys too! Enjoy your summer!!

We will be at Sci-Fi Tuesday 8/5 between 5-6pm and TH on Thursday between 8-9am (I don't have my schedule in front of me )

I'm very nervous also! I get back 2 days before too! I'm so excited though! We only have 46 days to go. I am trying not to wish my summer days away but it's very hard!

I said something similar a few pages back and someone (don't remember who, sorry!) Made a really good point of saying it was a way to look forward to rather than dread the end of summer. So that's my new outlook. I've done it where you only have a couple of days between getting back and starting, and it's not bad. Forces you to finish in 2 days what you may have stretched out for 2 weeks otherwise!
