A 16 year old and a 10 year old!!! I may have a lot more gray hair when I get back! When we first told my son that we may have to drive because the flights were so expensive he said he was staying home! He is a huge Disney fan so I new e would come around. He will be going for his learners permit the day after we get back!
Enjoy your couples only trip!!

I have 16, 10 AND 5 YO and drivivng from OH. My 16 YO is the worst during the drive also and complains the entire trip!!!:rotfl:

I may be saying the same thing!! My almost 16 yo complains a lot on a regular basis never mind a 22 hour drive.
The last long road trip we had was to charleston SC. He was only 9. Both boys were very good. Hoping for a repeat trip.

Ok, we are now checking in a day early on the 14th!! Decided that it was silly to stop on I-4, and check in early Monday when we are thinking we could get to Disney by 3-4 on Sunday. So we added a day and another park day. Had to give up my preferred room for a garden view though. Hope I don't regret it, yikes. But on the plus, broke even on price with extra might and extra day!!!!

Our plane is leaving in 8 hrs. I've had 3hrs sleep, this is going to be interesting....

I've done that before, you should be fine today - the excitement of arriving there will keep you from feeling too tired. Try to get to sleep a little earlier than usual tonight and grab a quick nap tomorrow and you'll be fine.

We are driving but only have an 8 hour drive. We are going to leave around 3am and drive to daytona beach for the day..... We are total beach babies! We will spend the night in daytona and get up around 5 and drive the 2 hours to disney, go to hotel and do check in and still get to disney early enough to make rope drop that day. Can't believe I am 7 days from my first trip to disney!!!!!

Thanks! That's what I plan on doing we have a CM at 7:15. Then we are going back to the hotel to relax and call it an early night.

Can't believe we're leaving in a few hours!!

That sounds so much better than stopping on I-4! You'll be so close. :)

It seems like it's been quite a while since I simply noted the dates & resort name. Now, to check out this thread is SOOO exciting!! Everyone's tickers show LESS THAN A MONTH!! :cool1:
How cool is that?
I laughed at myself a few weeks ago that I had picked up foot powders, mole skin, cracker snackies, hand-held fans etc & already put them in a suitcase! LOL! With 23 days to go, I'm thinking that wasn't such a bad idea! HA!
Excited for EVERYONE on the April 2013 thread!!
Have a great time dis-friends! Maybe we will meet!

YES! My kindle countdown is finally under 1 million seconds.......that million was taunting me every time I checked it. It made it seem so far, lol

Its now less than 2 days till my first trip to Disney! Oh my god!! I am so excited! Let the magic begin! :donald: :woohoo:

When I first started following this thread, April 2013 seemed SO far away! :rotfl: And here we are on April eve.

Safe travels and fantastic vacations to you all. Can't wait to hear about your trips as we wait for ours to start April 23. :)

And thank you so much for all the advice over the past 200-some days!

Random question...

Has anybody ever traveled with a bike rack??? We are stopping for the night before getting to FL. Do I buy a lock for the bikes??

I know this sounds like a stupid question but I just thought about this the other night and not sure what to do.

Ask on the transportation board.

I always lock my bikes to the bike rack using standard bike locks. Then, if someone wants to steal them, they have to steal the whole bike rack!

My car has a way to lock the bikes to the bumper (in addition to being locked to the rack).

My rule is: If the bikes are worth stealing, they will be stolen!

Thanks I did ask over there too.
