OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

count me and the hubby in for April 2012:

POFQ, first stay: April 22-April 27.

Waiting for my solo trip ticker to count down in December.

I'm having this weird thing where I'm avoiding booking because so far it's been this "fantasy" trip and if I book it, then it's "Real" and I'll be disappointed if something goes wrong and we can't go. How crazy is that? :P

We are booked for AKV - Jambo House April 8-14, 2012! Very excited! It will be our first stay at AKV. We've never been in April before. Try to avoid the crowds, but we are already taking the girls out of school this September for our Grand Gathering at Disney, so we had to book Spring Break. We are upgrading to AP's while we are there in September:banana:, so I convinced DH that we needed to get alot of use out of them. So...we are renting points in April 2012 and August 2012 (BWV). And, I'm hoping to squeeze in some quick weekend trips over the course of the year too!:rolleyes1

Looking forward to hearing all of your plans!!

We'll be there the last week of April. Probably off-site, unless DH falls in love with staying onsite after our November trip at the BWV! ;)

I saw a February 2012 thread pop up, and several people in the 2012 thread said they were planning for April 2012, so I figured I'd make a thread!

We are planning on going March 31-April 7th, 2012. It will be me, DH, DD17 (well, she will be then) and possibly her BFF16. (Depends on if BFF can come up with $ - I can probably cover SOME of her share of the trip, but not all of it.)

We've already started saving with a little Mickey-head savings chart. Every $50, we add a Mickey head onto our little chart, and the goal is to have most of our trip saved up for by next fall when we book.

So who's with me? April 2012, checking in!

 Can't wait!! Hubby, me, 3 kids (18, 17, &13). Staying in villas at Wilderness Lodge. We are DVC members, this is home resort. Will try to change at 7mo. mark for Bay Towers. What are your plans?

We will be there March 31-April 7 as well. We are DVC and AP holders too. We are booked at BWV (our home resort). This trip is a big celebration for us. DD 13 is in treatment for leukemia, and can't travel till December.

My thoughts are with your daughter and your family. *hugs*

I finally just called and booked for 3/31-4/7 at POFQ. I haven't added on DD's BFF yet because I haven't gotten confirmation from her parents, but it's booked for the three of us and now I can concentrate on getting it paid off. :)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I just booked April 28 - May 5. I wanted April 21 - 28 and all the regular rooms at BC are BOOKED! So I changed my dates. I need a 40% pin code or I am switching to the Dolphin. I am so excited I just booked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is BC? We have a trip planned for April 18th!!! We will be staying at POFQ

Thank you.

We really need this trip. DD was in the hospital from Sunday until today with unexpected issues. We watched some Disney videos on youtube that definitely brightened the hospital atmosphere.

Aw, sorry to hear about your dd. Just said a prayer for her and for your family.

Yay! I found my April peeps :goodvibes We (Grand Gathering gang of 9) are POR bound April 14-24 and going DxDP for the first time :thumbsup2

I have been obsessing over our ADRs and stalking the Wishes Party thread for about 2 months now :upsidedow

We are booked for April 1-6...the dreaded week before Easter!! The time is not by my choice, but there's NO WAY I'm going to say no to a Disney trip :cool1:

We will be a Grand Gathering, my family from Maryland meeting up with our other family from Georgia. We have vacationed together before and have a GREAT time together.

So the planning is ON!

We have rooms booked at the Beach Club Villas, and I just added the package on the other day - length of stay park hoppers with the basic Dining Plan.

I'm actually seriously considering switching our reservation over to AAA, which will save us some $. That's the only discount so far, and hoping for a magic PIN for more $$$ off
The AAA thing just makes me a little nervous, having to go through them for everything. Just waiting to hear back about being able to have control of our own ADRs (since I'll probably change them a million times as I adjust our itinerary).

Looking forward to keeping up with all you other April trip-ers, especially those of you braving the pre-easter week crowds with us!!! :woohoo:

We are planning on visiting too around Easter! I'm so afraid of the crowds. We will most likely be off-site though at our timeshare. We will avoid the parks until the days after Easter. We'll do Easter activities at our timeshare and then an Easter brunch or dinner at Disney.

Do you think the days after Easter will be crazy crowded? We have 4 little one's from 6 years to 3 months old that will be in tow! We aren't doing all 4 parks this time either...we've been to Disney the last 3 years so we can skip a park.

So excited to be somewhere else for Easter though!!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I am planning a trip for our family in the Spring. I am leaning heavily towards April 21-28. Hopefully it will be too late for the Spring Break crowd and warm enough to enjoy the pool at the resort.

We plan on staying at the WBC because my MIL has a timeshare that she can exchange.

We took my DS to Disneyland in 2009. He was 5. I regretted that we waited so long. We had a blast but it wasn't "magical." My DD will be 4. I would love to hear advice/suggestions for ways to make the trip extra special!

I'm definitely planning on BBB and some character meals. I can say that I love having 10 months to plan. It allows me to savor all aspects of our DW experience!

I've heard that there is a big Cheer competition at Disney at the end of April. Does anyone know the 2012 dates?

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

We were there at that time in 2009. I was in the pool several times. Weather was great -- actually a bit too warm for me on some days. We didn't see any cheerleaders but there was a dance competition going on and some of the girls (supposedly chaperones too, but I didn't see evidence of that) were at our resort, POFQ. Two girls sat outside our AC unit and smoked, dh (who has a lung condition) and I were not happy. When we spoke to them, they acted like we were the ones who were in the wrong. Other than that bad experience, it is a great time to be there. The Flower and Garden Festival is wonderful (nicer than the Food and Wine, imo). Hopefully we'll be there again 2012. My UT tickets have arrived, so that's $640 already invested. But I'm waiting on making the room reservation.

Figured I would join in, we just returned from our stay at CBR yesterday and I am already planning our next stay. :lmao: We would like to go in early April so we can go one more time before my youngest turns 3! Just researching where to stay!

Jetblue is extending their schedule this Sunday July 17th at noon to include APRIL!!!! Anyone else booking their flights w/Jetblue? I will book if the price looks good:worship:

Just booked CBR for April 28th through May 5th!!!!!!!!!

...hoping there is no cheerleading/dance competition that week or we might change over to Shades of Green. :thumbsup2
