Well, I did flip over from the Yankees' game to AI to catch a majority of the performances. (Awesome game, BTW!)

I really liked Jason Castro's performance tonight. I thought it was just the right kind of song for him.

Syesha is a favorite of mine and I thought she did well with IWALY but Simon was right. She should have stayed with the softer, Dolly style for the entire song. She held her own on the bigger, Whitney style part though.

Now, I've gone on record here as not being a fan of Michael Johns but I must agree with Simon that tonight was his best performance and what's more I thought it was the best performance of the night! The blues suits him very well. I thought he showed much more range than he has at any other point in the competition.

Ramiele NEEDS to go home. Now.

Unfortunately, I think it may end up being Syesha that gets the boot from the voters. :(

Here are some pictures for your new siggie:

When you posted this link yesterday(?), I ended up watching all of them. They are all really good. I want to work at EW!

They post a video every Tuesday and Friday. I meant end up just putting up a link on both days as a reminder if folks would like. They're all quite funny and somewhat informative. Plus, they'll start having exit interviews soon like the one they did with Amanda Overmyer (who, after hearing her take on the whole experience, makes me miss her even more).

no word on theme next week, probably inspirational since next week is Idol Gives Back. Which by the way folks set your DVRS for Tuesday normal time. Wednesday 7:30/6:30, and Thursday for the show.

oh god, i skipped that show last season too lol.

This country girl has been bored tonight, I missed most of Jason's so I really haven't liked to many tonight. I did like David C.

Kenny Songs would have been better....just better vocal songs. I love Dolly but i would have rather heard Kenny songs

Oh...THAT is next week already? It is on three nights in a row? Why?

What time Thursday? The Office comes back on on the 10th. A much as I love DC -- I cannot miss JIM!

Tuesday- Performance
Wednesday- IDG
Thursday-Elimination

I'll be missing the show like I said before, i'm going to try and do two concerts that night, Thursday morning won't be fun though.

I'm not sure of the times for Thursday but I will check into it.

I think Kenny and Dolly songs would of been good but personally I wished it could of been any country songs.

Boo, I'm an idiot, I didn't watch the game at all...and the first game of the season no less. Too bad I missed such a good game. :(

I think if Dolly was able to work with the group a week ago, then she might have suggested songs for them. They already had their minds made up so hopefully she was able to help somewhat.

I read on another board that they ought to fire Paula and put her on the panel instead. I agree!!

Paula really has the hots for DC and all the guys, actually, again this year!

so i came in for a quick little post. i went and youtubed David Cook's performance just so i could see it. i actually got lucky this week and got to go to my friends house to watch the Sabres game(DO YOU BELIEVE!?!?!?) so i didn't have to waste my time with country week....but of course i HAD to see David!!

well.....the song was still a bit too "country" for me.....i still love the sound of his voice, and he sounded great, but the song was stupid. but honestly...what can you do with songs like that, you know?? but the judges still loved it. i agree with Simon, not as good as last week, but it was still good. he's definatly the guy to beat in this competition this year.

DH2B gets out of work soon and he recorded it so i'll probably catch Michael Johns' performance if i can stomach the country.

Chill out its not that bad....Country is good music. This coming from a rap guy till College.

Just looked it up. On 4/10 AI is on at 8pm and The Office is on at 9.

WHEW!

DC and JK in one night. :faint:

Yeah...this week was so...BLAH for me since I'm not into country music. I still watched it but it didn't do much for me.

My thoughts-

The best-
Michael Johns- I thought he was the best by far tonight, I really enjoyed his performance.
Carly- Sounded really pretty tonight, great job.
Jason- I really like Jason and he didn't disappoint me.
David Cook

Good-
Syesha

Just OK-
Brooke- In the past she's been one of my favorites but not so much the past 2 weeks.
David A Seems like a nice kid but I'm not a fan.
Ramiele
Kristy

I have only seen the 1st couple up to DC. and they were all OK. DC wasnt as good as last week but still good....I think all the weeks have been subpar overall and I think it speaks to the level of Talent on this year. To me its not as good as any of the previous seasons....but thats JMHO
