More Talent, Sponsors for ‘Idol’ Gives Back
Robin Williams, Celine Dion, Forest Whitaker, Billy Crystal, Dane Cook, Kiefer Sutherland, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Connolly and Amy Adams, plus American Idol veterans Elliott Yamin and Fantasia, will appear along with the previously announced Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, Heart and Gloria Estefan.
Much of the Idol Gives Back festivities will tape on Sunday, April 6 and tickets are available to the general public via the American Idol website.

There is not ONE PERSON on that list I would cross the road to see. NOT ONE. In fact, it is as though they picked all the pompous/annoying/overrated people in Hollywood and put them all in ONE SHOW. :scared:

I assume the "idols" are on IGB week in some way? I seriously have NO MEMORY of this from last year. I know it happened but I must have skipped the show. So if I want to see DC  I have to sit through this sap fest???

Minus Elliott and Fantasia...I like the rest for the most part

OT:

Was Allison crying when they did they vote off....did anyone watch that...I know go the Biggest Loser board but I dont need another one to keep up with.....:rotfl2:

I'm guessing Elliott won't be there now unless it's a replay from his IGB promo.

I don't know it's hard to tell. He might do it for his mom, since she was his biggest supporter. It's hard to tell this soon.

Chill out its not that bad....Country is good music. This coming from a rap guy till College.

Sorry, but I cannot take anyone seriously who was ever a "rap guy". ;)

I can think of few genres of music I detest more than country or rap. :scared:

I just had to post this about DC's new do. (read on twop)

"Odd that with less hair, it now looks like he has more hair. That's "hair math." Weird, huh? "

I live about two hours or so from Nashville so I go to a bunch of concerts or when the Opry is at the Ryman, there's an alley type way that runs along side the backstage entrance to the Ryman and you can wait out there.

What do you mean "When the Opry is at the Ryman"? I always thought the Opry was a venue. :rotfl2: What IS it??

I am impressed by all the people you've met though (even if the only one I've heard of is Mr. Heigl!). And I am even more impressed that every time you have a pic taken you have the same PERFECT smile! Seriously! I got my picture taken with Carl Palmer a couple years back and I look RIDICULOUS.

Oh...THAT is next week already? It is on three nights in a row? Why?

What time Thursday? The Office comes back on on the 10th. A much as I love DC -- I cannot miss JIM!

it's too bad that this recent season of the office hasn't been very good compared to the awesomeness of seasons 1 and 2.

From November to March, the Grand Ole Opry is back at the mother church which is known as the Ryman. That's where it got its start and about a few years or so ago, the Grand Ole Opry House was built. I don't know it was built before or after Opryland was torn down. Better explanation to the Opry history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Old_Opry

Oh those are the better pictures, I have some where I'm blushing like no tomorrow or look like a deer in headlights. I just know that networking is important when you live in a good old boys town and want a job.

The only people listed that I even remotely like are - Annie Lennox and Heart. A few others are okay (Jennifer connolly, Keifer, Brad Pitt, Reese, Gloria Estefan.) And the rest...I pretty can't stand.

It's all a matter of personal taste. To me, most country music is NOT good music. And rap is worse...haha.

I have only seen the 1st couple up to DC. and they were all OK. DC wasnt as good as last week but still good....I think all the weeks have been subpar overall and I think it speaks to the level of Talent on this year. To me its not as good as any of the previous seasons....but thats JMHO

Overall, I like the people this season a lot. I haven't watched that many seasons of Idol. most were forgettable. I thought last season was awful (with the exception of Melinda.)

OT Alert - I don't know. They are voting right now. And I don't think she's crying yet. But she does sound sick.

Those brothers are ANNOYING. I wish they'd both go home. I find the excessive crying to be super annoying at this point.

Is there a biggest loser thread on this board? Maybe I should find it.

The husband says - "WHAAA on three!"

Okay yeah...I think Allison is crying now.

STILL OT:

I think she was....I hate when Reality shows bring back a person that gets voted off....they do it on Survivor, Big Brother, Biggest Loser, they also did it a few seasons ago on AI...I was mad to see mark back and Ali for that matter, But I like Ali and I think I want her to win now that Dan and Brittany are gone.

Where is everyone tonight? We're usually more talkative.

:confused3

I know! We usually blow through a LOT more pages in one night. The show was shorter, but still.

So far this season I think this was the weakest night IMO. There were a few performances that were good but I was mostly bored.
