It sure seems that this board has the same two in the bottom this week--Scott and Anthony. I hate to say it, but I like both of these kids--they just don't stack up with the rest. It doesn't really matter which goes, the others (Nadia, Nikko, and Vonzell) will be dropping like flies soon after.

I agree, but most people thought that Anthony and Scott would be in the bottom 2 last week too, but they weren't, so we might be surprised. Honestly they should be in the bottom but who knows. Dh says it is turning into a popularity contest once again. Of course it is...it always does!

I believe that AI only cleared about 10 musicals for them to choose from. None of them were rock musicals. I blame the show for the uninspiring night.

I wish Carrie would move a little more on stage. I wish Nadia would quit snarling at the camera and I wish Constantine would quit the 3 year-old antics. I really like the vocals of these people but their stage presence is not very good.

Bo cracked me up with the "I just closed my eyes and pointed". Can you imagine if he had pointed to "I feel pretty"?

Man, Scott was PAINFUL to listen to last night. Why that man is still in this contest is beyond me. Anthony wasn't that great last night either but I think he deserves one more chance over Scott.

Constantine.. I was worried at first because the music was so overpowering. What was with that? But he really pulled it off. He is showing week after week how versitile he is. I think that is what seperates him from Bo. Bo is technically a better singer but we are seeing that Constantine can adapt to different types of music more comfortably than Bo.

Nikko and Anwar.. ehh.. didn't do anything for me.

Vonzell was good but didn't "blow me away" enough to want to vote.

Nadia, better than the last couple of weeks but good enough to keep her out of the dreaded bottom 3?

Carrie.. great singer but there is just something about her that.. I dunno.. bores me? She just doesn't seem to have a lasting personality when she is on stage.

Last nights winners to me: Constantine, Bo (but not his best) and Vonzell.
Bottom 3: Scott, Anthony and Nikko - and Scott better be going home because that makes 3 poor performances in a row.

Oh.. and is it just me or does anyone wish they would tell you who were in the top three for votes too?

I agree with you Laureen on a couple things. Carrie bores me too. She sings very well, she looks beautiful, but to me, it's just another pretty girl singer with a good voice. Boring.

And yes! Tell us who the top 3 are too. Of course 99% of the time I bet it's Carrie, Constantine and Bo. The pretty girl and the sexy rocker dudes.

Ok, I'm going out on a limb on this one.... but I REALLY liked last night!! I guess I just love musicals so much I'll just take them however I get them. I doubt anyone else has this problem right now, but I have had Corner of the Sky running through my head since last night!!! I woke up and it was the first thing that popped into my head!! GET IT OUT OF THERE!!! Oh, and I'm nominating my mom for Mom of the Year because I forgot to change the clock on my VCR so I would have missed it if she hadn't stopped in my room to make sure it was taping. Go mom!

I don't get why everyone thinks Carrie is boring. When she sings I'm glued to the set. Kelly just used to stand there and sing too. I think all the theatrics is just a distraction for me....I have to close my eyes or turn my back when a few of them are on stage.

I totally agree with you!!! Carrie is amazing. Nothing wrong with just standing there! That's what Kelly did.

I close my eyes too for many of them!!

Everyone thought that Scott would be on the bottom 3 every week yet he has always been safe. I really like Scott and hope he sticks around for a while. He doesn't get any pity votes from me. I LIKE his voice! I think it will be Anwar, Nadia, and Anthony this week with Anwar goion home. Anwar was horrible this week but he has pretty consistently been bad. We shall see!

I liked last night just because I love musicals. I would have loved to have seen someone sing Music of the Night, or maybe one of the girls to do On My Own from Les Mis.

Anyway, random thoughts-

1-hoping Scott will go home this week. He seems to go back and forth between "not too bad" and "arrgh".
2- Am I the only one thinking that Bo just said he picked randomly so that he wouldn't have to admit to spending an hour listening to musicals?
3- Has anyone noticed that Constantine does this thing with his eyes, sort of an "I know something you don't know!" look?
4- Didn't they used to have clips of the Idols hanging out at their Mansion? Have we even seen the mansion yet this year?
5- If Anthony would have put on a nun habit for that song, I would have voted for him.

It seems like the judges are once again directing their comments to start to weed out their least favorites. Simon doesn't seem to like Scott or the Russian guy(can't remember his name).

They all really like Carrie. I like her, but we already had a pretty prom queen type with Kelly Clarkson. It seems like a different type should win this time!

I'm still rooting for Bo!

I wish they would ALL stop looking at the camera and following it around the room. It makes me uncomfortable!

My favorite last night was definitely Nadia. I liked her at the beginning but the last couple of weeks weren't for me. Glad she's back!

My pick for bottom 3 - Anthony, Scott and Anwar with Scott going home. And I liked him at the beginning but I think he has reached his limits.

Of all the years and all of the musicals, THESE are the songs they came up with?!!!! Why?!!!

Scott - Wow. Yuck. That is a BIG song. It needs to be big and building. As in: TO DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM! I think Scott needs to go soon.

Constantine - I am a Constantine fan to start with, but I think he did a REALLY good job. One of the best tonight. I also liked the fact that Seacrest and he actually made fun of the gazing into the camera thing.

Carrie - She has a great voice. The song isn't the most exciting from musical theater, and I think that showed. Just not much you can do with it. However, I think she did fine.

Vonzell - Just OK. Not wonderful. Not as good as last week. (She is not one of my personal favorites.)

Anthony - Anthony must go now! There is no reason for him not to.

If Anthony would have put on a nun habit for that song, I would have voted for him.

Nikko - Yuck! Why did he kill that beautiful song? Paula is just insane.

Anwar - Yay! Anwar's back!!!! I really liked it.

Bo - His worst performance yet - and he's one of my favorites. With all of the "rock musicals" out there, WHY wouldn't he pick something more appropriate?!!!

Nadia - I liked it. Not an exciting song, but I've always liked it. She looked just gorgeous too.

Got my votes last night: Constantine and Anwar
Need to go ASAP: Scott or Anthony

I was thinking this morning who will go tonight, and I think its going to have to be Scott. While I think there have been weeks where he actually sings like an angel, the problem is in his presentation. And it has nothing to do with him not being "pretty", there have been plenty of people who got to the top of this game without having movie star looks. Its the fact that he looks exactly the same in his mug shot as he does when he's singing. I think that coupled with the fact that America now knows about this mug shot, guarantees he's a goner.

I'm just curious....... with all the talk about Paula and her weird behavior, Is there something I don't know, I mean where did everyone come up with her using drugs and/or drinking, or is this just everyone's thoughts on this board ???? I agree that she has been stranger than usual, but I guess I always thought that was just her personality
