Haven't read all the posts about last night, yet, but here are my impressions (and, keep in mind, I'm "into" musicals, as is DW, so we know what all of those songs are
supposed to sound like

) : (and thanks to phisigprincess since I don't have to write all of these out now

)
Scott -
The Impossible Dream from Man of LaMancha -

HORRID !!! HORRENDOUS !!! AUDITORY TORTURE !!! Would have gotten him voted off even before the news arrived about the domestic violence thing.
Constantine -
My Funny Valentine from Babes in Arms - I expected he would do really well when they announced the "theme", and wasn't dissappointed. Not a huge fan, but he's definitely getting better each week.
Carrie -
Hello Young Lovers from The King and I - I know there are those here that don't like her, but I'm sorry, this girl is a superstar in the making. After hearing this performance, I had to go back to what Simon said a few weeks ago: she will not only win the competition, she'll sell more records on her initial album (I added that part, since Kelly has been so successful with her new album) than any other Idol winner to date (and probably DOUBLE what the last two have sold).
Bo -
Corner of the Sky from Pippin Ok, I know Simon didn't like it, and I usually make it a point not to disagree with him, since he's usually right. Not this time. Bo was out of his element with this theme, but he came through with flying colors. Probably my second favorite of the night (and the competition) behind Carrie.
Nadia -
As Long as He Needs Me from Oliver Ok, this was a pretty good performance, but she does
not have the power in her voice to really
belt that song out the way it is supposed to be sung. It showed at the end when she 1) changed the final line to shorten the words, and 2) didn't sustain the final note. Good, but hardly "great".
Nikko -
One Hand One Heart from West Side Story Sorry, I hate hip-hop, and ruining a decent song by "updating" it doesn't impress me much.
Vonzell -
People from Funny Girl Pretty good performance from Vonzell. I'm not over-the-moon about her the way some people seem to be, but she's definitely better than most of the rest of the competition.
Anthony -
Climb Every Mountain from The Sound of Music Yeah...no. He's definitely ready for a turn in some crappy boy-band though. Definitely got "that look" about him these days.
Anwar -
If Ever I Would Leave You from Camelot Sorry, I'm just not on the Anwar bandwagon. And Paula saying he had the best voice in the competition just goes to show why people should NOT take drugs recreationally

Seriously, he wasn't "bad", but he wasn't "good" either.
All in all, an enjoyable night for a fan of Broadway music. Personally, I think Scott is going home, and Anwar and Anthony should be in the bottom three with him.
