Official 2024 Universal Studios HHN 33 Thread

We’re pretty sure we want to buy the Scream Early ticket for our date (Oct 16th). We already have our Express Passes and I see those have increased in price since we purchased. Will Scream Early increase in price or sell out? Just wondering if I should buy now or if it can wait awhile.

Will Scream Early increase in price or sell out?
Sincerely doubt it. Last year they were one flat price any day & I believe they stayed that way the whole time. Should be the same this year. Of course, Universal could surprise me.

Presumably you will not have a park ticket that day?

Thanks. That’s correct, we won’t have a park ticket. We will be coming over from Disney. We will have a late lunch at City Walk and then enjoy the park for awhile before we go to one of the waiting areas
I’ll grab the Stay and Scream soon but glad to hear I don’t need to rush to buy it.

idk i've been looking at the prices and they are actually less expensive in October vs September

My guess is the rush to have the experience before anyone else?

I have also seen that wait times were less in October, barring Columbus Day Weekend, than September. I think with the Rush of Fear pass and locals more like to go more frequently early on, September gets busier, so it's more expensive too.

We are not sure if we are going still talking about it. Is there a way I can get the merchandise if we do not go? I saw an Insidious shirt I fell in love with and I might just try and go just for the shirt. Do they sell the merchandise at citywalk

They do sell a lot of the HHN T-shirts and other HHN merchandise at Universal Store in CityWalk. Some of kiosk huts in CityWalk also have HHN merch, but that being said, they do have a larger selection at various shops and the Tribute Store during HHN.

Will you be going to Studios? The main store near the entrance & the Tribute store will have a wide variety of HHN merch. The Tribute store is open during daytime hours too, it'll have differently themed rooms of interesting goodies to browse.

Anyone know if the Tribute store stays open a day or 2 after HHN ends? Or will it close for retheming at the end of HHN Sun 11/2?

Look on the Universal website. They have what has already been released HHN merchandise on sale now in their online store.

The big Universal store in Citywalk will have HHN stuff if you are going to Citywalk.

I'm so glad we didn't read these pages before we went 2 years ago. I'd be so worried we'd miss everything.... lol We just bought regular tickets and got there about 30 min before opening. We didn't see everything but did a lot and rode a lot of rides. Had a blast! Going back this year and doing the same.

Express is just crazy cost. My daughter does it every year though. She has a plan and maximizes her time. That's not fun for us. Also we just can't (can but won't) spend $550 for 1 night. So if you are reading a lot of these posts and are getting nervous.. don't. You can still have a lot of fun without killing yourself.

Whatever your plan.... have a blast!

I'll just respectfully rebutt one thing

You can def do everything in HHN if you don't buy express, it's not mandatory to do everything. However, to be able to do anything, you will need to have some form of a plan. Doesn't need to be minute by minute, but just an idea where you want to start and the idea of directions you want to go. Example, I have usually have a plan to start in the back as everyone usually rushes the houses in New York area. Get those out of the way, and let the initial wave of the front houses clear out. Or if want to do S&S, need to figure out which one you want to do. By maximizing your time, you can easily do 3-4 houses in a hour (or less).

But you can still also have a great time by just going with the flow and doing whatever you want whenever you want. Just don't go in with the expectations of doing everything (you still may though).

I think it just depends on what you want to do. If you are okay doing a couple of houses , riding Mummy , Rip Ride and MiB then you can just wing it. Different from the person who wants to do all 10 houses, see nightmare fuel, death eaters all in one night.

I go down for a week. So I have 5 HHN nights. Don’t normally bother with rides. May pop on MiB for A/C break.
