Official 2024 Universal Studios HHN 33 Thread

One of the youtubers I watch was not able to get one,
somewhat surprised that the established bloggers who make the cut for the media events specifically were not given a heads up to purchase

Kevin is not on the happy list, but seems to know a fair number of people in the parks.

Its all very odd, to sell out in a few hours is just a head scratcher to me

Especially when the most expensive one was first... That's over $1,000...thats why it's clear this wasn't because of demand

Yeah - totally agree with that. Its not a cheap ticket. Its also gone up a lot over the last few years - like most things.

Thing is typically (not always but most of the time), when you have a limited number of tickets to something you let people know in advance when they will go on sale so people can be ready for it and make it a priority.

You don't put them on sale out of the blue when most people are going to work etc..
Even had i seen the email, I admit I probably would not have purchased it immediately and would have waited till the weekend when I had the time.

<START RANT>
It's like they are trying to make the fans unhappy lately. Universal has been really good for the last 10 years and built a lot of good will, but they are burning though it pretty quickly. I cut them a lot of slack because they have been so good and been very flexible with the rules, but...
Between Epic tickets, price increases, budget cuts, crappy specialty drinks, a so-so lineup for HHN 33, getting rid of Labby the cabby, cheap overlay of the red coconut, late holiday start, IDK several more things. IMO budget cuts should not affect a money maker like HHN.

They should not be getting the Disney attitude that people will come no matter what we do...that does not work long term.

Just checked ticket prices and express for the week we'll be there in October, and the Sunday has gone up quite a bit, so we're probably going to rule that out. The Wed and Thurs went up a little bit too, but I think only $10 each. I was waiting on Disney to release their hours for Oct, and their late night schedule to decide, as we would prefer to pick our Disney days for extra magic hours nights, but I am getting nervous....I also need a better hotel if I pick Wed night. Reading that these multinight tickets sold out so fast makes me more nervous....

It seems its probably not due to demand, but extremely limited tickets for multi night.

That should not affect single night tickets and should make single night of express better since you don't have all the multilight people in the line as well.
That said if you are getting express then the sooner you do the better, it does sell out and the price does go up.
Same for any tours.

Basically this ya.. If you know your dates. Buy now. It'll only go up.

So I may need a dose of realistic expectations as to how to plan for our HHN night.

We only have one night. We DO have express and are staying at a Universal hotel. We DO NOT have regular tickets to the park so can't do Stay and Scream.

What we would want to do:
All houses
All scarezones
Ride Mummy
See Deatheaters
Get a Butterbeer
Go to the Tribute Store
Get snacks

Is this in any way possible?

Yes, with express it'll easily be done. The ONLY thing would be deathesters since there's no set time, just kind of random. Just line up early, and you'll be fine

Be sure to use the resort entrance, you still want to line up early but it’s better than being in general population at the main entrance. Otherwise the rest of the advice you have received is good.

Yes! We did all of these last year, except the tribute store because we’d seen that earlier, , and we were done by 11:30, so had lots of extra time. Tribute store could for sure be added without too much extra time. I’d really hoped to stay until the end. Spirit was willing, bad knees and achy feet were not….

But I will add I did have stay/ scream access, but all we had done by the time the park opened was 1 house twice , the choose thy fate house to see both endings, after that, by the time we got to our next house, it had opened to the general public .
So stay and scream helped, but with express you’ll very easily get through all houses , and we did several scare zones multiple times. We did not do the stage show, nor did we want to, so no time needed for that. We did hang out in Diagon alley quite a while, had Florian’s, and saw a lot if death eaters . We also rode several other rides. The one thing we didn’t do was stop and eat much . We did do a few booths, and I got my blinky cup, only managed one refill, but I have found that food booths can have pretty long lines at time, can take up more time than I liked, but they ebb and flow.
The later it gets, the more everything clears out.
We also just have one night in October and plan on express!
Happy planning! It’s gonna be awesome!

The only thing I'll add to this is that it kind of depends how they do the resort entry. Last year, it really wasn't worth it, and the lines got so bad TMs were telling people the main entrance was quicker. If they go back to how they did it in 2022, then yes, it's worth going through that entrance

What night (Sat/Fri or another night)?
Willing to stay to the end?
Sunday night (September 15)

We would stay as long as our bodies allow lol. The aim is to be good the whole night.

Thank you everyone else for your notes. The plan is to have dinner at Cowfish and then head to the resort entrance.

Just a FYI, and maybe you already knew this or planning on (if so I apologize), but you prob should get in line sometime between 5-530. They generally try to open the gates as close to 6 as possible (even though official start is 630)

How long would a meal at Cowfish take? Currently have a 4pm reservation...
