Here’s hoping it’s a new trend—I’m also going October 30. But I have express and scream early, so I’m not too worried.Generally closer to Halloween the busier it is. Hence why prices are usually more expensive late Oct.
However. Last year was weird. Sept was WAYYY busier than anything in Oct. So no idea if this is a new trend or what.
Was very odd last year...still not sure why...but it is a lot cheaper.Generally closer to Halloween the busier it is. Hence why prices are usually more expensive late Oct.

I think you'll be fine. We went on Halloween itself last year. All 10 houses completed before 11pm with no EP & a dinner stop. Granted we did stay & scream super early to be right near the front of the line for the most popular house. We skipped the shows but walked through the scare zones & saw the death eaters. But for HHN, we'd go on Wednesday the 30th.
You just have to be inside the park before 5 when the park closes to the genral public. At the stay and scream location is where they'll scan your hhn ticketI didn’t find my answer when searching. I’m coming at the end of September and got the cheapest season pass. I want to buy a single night ticket for HHN. Do I just go to the park during the day like normal and when they start closing, go to a holding pen inside the park without doing security or anything again?
Also, if I wanted to leave the park in late morning or afternoon, can I just come back before closing and reenter and then wait in a holding pen? If yes, is there a time I should be back in the park by to avoid any hassles?
Great, that's what I was thinking also. And everyone was right, last year, was really odd how slow it seemed in mid-October for it. My daughter and I skipped the show last year since we watched the previous and made it through all the houses, scare zones, death eaters show, and even a few food places without waiting too long.I think you'll be fine. If you look at HHN ticket & EP prices, Universal clearly expects 10/30 to be "slow" (by HHN standards, of course). It gets busier up to the weekend before Halloween, then slows considerably.
Let's hope that trend continuesGenerally closer to Halloween the busier it is. Hence why prices are usually more expensive late Oct.

There is a three day weekend in the middle of October so that may be a factor. If I recall correctly some states are off that whole weeks as well.Let's hope that trend continues
What's really odd though is that the resort prices actually fall off considerably that last week in October. The middle of the month when we usually go is the highest, along with plane ticket prices... I'd think it would be highest then drop the following week.
We've always found Halloween itself to be pretty slow as well. It helps that Uni doesn't do any trick or treating like Disney, so it weeds out most of that crowd. There is a three day weekend in the middle of October so that may be a factor. I've heard Halloween itself is somewhat slow in general. There are evens in Orlando that locals go to as well as parties and just dealing with the Trick R Treaters.
Yeah, being in Minnesota, it's MEA week during the middle of Oct., so the prices sky-rocket for plane tickets alone. The difference in that is at least +$400. And that's when we've gone both years. So later in the month looks much more inviting. There is a three day weekend in the middle of October so that may be a factor. If I recall correctly some states are off that whole weeks as well.

Have to say the scarezones seem much better than the ones in the past few years - we will see. (BTW - I think they have all been leaked by mistake)65 minutes til next scarezone
Yea there was a leak, and so far it's been 2 for2Have to say the scarezones seem much better than the ones in the past few years - we will see. (BTW - I think they have all been leaked by mistake)
They did tweet specifically that at least one of them would be "old school". I hope this is true.
idk i've been looking at the prices and they are actually less expensive in October vs SeptemberGenerally closer to Halloween the busier it is. Hence why prices are usually more expensive late Oct.
