"Official" 2024 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Crystal Arts offered some sort of MNSSHP exclusive custom glass-blown pumpkin last year. Not sure if it's being offered this year but I do recall lines being quite unreasonable and inventory being extremely limited.
We tried to get these last year. I don't know when the line starts to form but each time we asked (entered the park around 5pm) they were sold out for the day. It's entirely possible that they take orders during the regular park day. I do know for a fact that the artists aren't working during the party.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, but I've read reports through FB that people line up starting at 5:30, and that they're usually gone within 30 minutes of going on sale. Technically supposed to go on sale at 7, but like other party treats/snacks, I've heard that they can sometimes unofficially go on sale closer to 6:30-6:40.
Molly at Mammoth club postsd a video that said people started lining up at 2:30 for party exclusive merch. Don't know how that is possible though without the wristband. Maybe she mispoke or I heard wrong

Yeah it's a bit unclear, I just did some digging on Facebook to find some more information but this is an experience someone had last night:

there were 6 people in front of me at 4:10. You can either take it with you or have it engraved and come back from 7:30-9:30. We rented a locker for I think $12 and left it in there with lots of other stuff. If I remember correctly it was about $175. The cast member who was selling them also said they typically don’t sell well at the first parties. It’s the later ones that they sell out. He said 8 were sold during the first party and I saw about 20 sold and engraved when I went for pickup.

Just watched the video, she does say people had been waiting since 2 at the Emporium but that seems very silly and extreme for the t-shirts and other party garb that they sell there since there's so much of it. Potentially personal shoppers/resellers or collectors that wanted to be the "first" to have the new stuff for whatever reason? I don't have the full story but I would be curious to know how many people actually got in line at 2 -- I think it's possible that maybe only 1-3 parties got in line that early.

I also don't know how or why the Emporium would manage this line before wristbands begin but I would assume the guests were working out some type of unofficial honor system with the others in line so that they could go grab their wristbands as they became available.

I went to the party last night, as a solo adult. I went last year with a friend, but accomplished much more this time (probably because I was by myself and could be quick and nimble!)
Got in line around 315, while it was raining. I was probably 10 people back from the front of line. They started scanning in tickets around 345, but then they held us at the entrance until right at 4.
Between 4-6, I rode Country Bears (had to see the new show!), watched the last 2 sets of the Casey’s corner pianist (430 and 530pm, love him so much), got the Halloween bbq fries from Casey’s, checked out merch at the Emporium, bought a pin for my son, and went back through the party entrance a second time to see Cruella (it was raining the first time around so she wasn’t out, but I was able to just circle back around once the rain stopped).
Close to 6, I went over to Tiana’s and got in the standby line, waited probably 15 mins total. After that I went to some shops and got water until the party stuff started at 7. The initial TOT lines were way too long so I skipped them.
During the party I watched a full set each of cadaver dans and the Pirate band, rode every ride that had some special overlay or feature (tea cups. Space mountain,
Pirates with the live pirates interacting with guests outside the queue, haunted mansion with real actors in the queue), rode people mover, saw the first parade from Main St (including headless horseman and Max), fireworks (walked up to find an incredible spot in front of the castle about 15 mins early), and the last Hocus Pocus show, watched some Halloween cartoons in Mickey’s philharmonic and watched a good 15 mins of jokes in monsters inc laugh floor, did tons of treat trails, watched the Descendants dance party while I ate a Mickey pretzel, and saw most of the characters from afar (other than the ones behind closed doors like Mickey/Minnie and Sally/Jack).
I did everything I hoped to do except see the hitchhiking ghosts in Frontierland (never went back to that area after Cadaver Dans) and didn’t try any sweet treats (I had a few pieces of candy and reached my sugar threshold). I could have easily ridden Tron (after fireworks the wait time was around 30-40min) but I was queasy after the Space Mountain ride and have ridden Tron before so I wasn’t prioritizing it; could have done more rides as well but the only really cared about the special stuff for the party so I spent more time watching shows, enjoying the treat trails, and generally enjoying the vibe and atmosphere.
For someone who likes to see characters but doesn’t care about meeting them, and isn’t concerned about special merch like sippers, it was a completely fantastic night and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

I wish I had known about the glasses. Attended the first party. The emporium was empty with lots of stuff when I stopped by.

Thanks for the various reports. We signed up for the Halloween night party, and although it will be exciting to do it on actual Halloween, I have a bad feeling that the good party exclusive merch will be sold out by then, or not available in our sizes. We'll still have fun.

Doing MNSSHP on Halloween night is one of my top two Disney memories. Such a blast! Have fun!

I'm looking for this answer too.
There were no live pirates in the ride but there was a pirate band performing outside the ride on both nights we attended.

We got to the Emporium on night 1 a little before 4 and there was a small line formed. We went ahead and shopped when the merch began being sold at 4 since we were having it shipped anyway. We just had to show our party tickets to enter the area without a wristband.

In addition to the band, they had several pirates roaming through the crowd in front of where you enter the queue for the ride. They were joking around, playing games, etc. It seemed like they rotated with the band, so when the band was done with a set, the roaming pirates would come out for a while. I watched them for a bit; they were funny but I enjoyed the band more.

To answer a few questions I have seen.
We saw power line max with backup dancers on the stage in front of the pirate ride. This must have been shortly after 7. It was fun to watch. We walked right onto the pirate ride. No pirates on the ride or even outside the queue at that time. When we got off the ride a pirate band was performing on the same stage power line max was (actually I can’t remember if max was performing on or in front of the stage.
We tried to get dinner around 5:10 at Columbia harbor house and it was closed at 5. We really don’t like magic kingdom food so we went to Sleepy hollow to get waffles. We were there quite some time eating at a table under an umbrella as it started pouring. A lot of people tried to stand under cover of the building near where they hand you the food and were told to go under a tunnel to the back of the area where there are some tables under cover. We did not see anyone lined up for those sippers. I was a little worried they would be clogging entry to the restaurant for us to get our food.
We rode haunted mansion after second parade. It was getting close to midnight and no actors were in front of the mansion. In fact I didn’t think they were there at all as there wasn’t a bench they usually use that I could see. They were still taking photos with a lantern there. So we were bummed to find out we missed them.
We loved the parade and headless horseman. We don’t like the fireworks - we greatly prefer hallowishes. Better Halloween vibe in the music.
I was sitting peacefully alone back past space mountain in a little seating area and saw the descendants come out to perform. They were so cute chatting and talking about dance steps when they passed me. Fun to see the people behind the characters for a minute.
Cowgirl Kate came out to do a set with the country bears while we were waiting for second parade. It was quite funny and she had the kids come out in their costumes and parade around and she chatted to people who were waiting for the parade. She was pretty funny. Also saw the cadaver Dans perform a set while we were waiting.

Oof! I guess I don’t want one that badly!! As cute as she is, she’s not worth my precious party time (plus, I’d have to ship her home)! 🤪

Is there a wheelchair/scooter seating area for the fireworks and/or parades at the party? Our group will have some people with mobility issues and I am trying to decide on the best options for finding a spot.

Looking at adding a Halloween pin to my collection - are there any pins being only sold at the party?

XP from the LL thread...

In case anyone is interested, today was my day to book LLSP & LLMP. I have an AP, but my traveling companion has the 3 day/3 park (no MK) ticket, and we both have tickets for MNSSHP. I never clicked submit to confirm, but it looks like I would've been able to book TRON as a LLSP for us on our MNSSHP day in the 4-6 window.

Reports were you can’t do this so it isn’t a real data point unless some actually books it.

True, but I would assume the system would recognize that the dated ticket wasn't eligible for MK entry when I went to add the members of my party. We've been satisfied with the wait times thus far during the party so we decided not to purchase the LLSP.
